She's about to... 67... Fall is almost here!

Kansas City (Joyce), MO(Zone 5a)

Flying sounds much better than driving...rofl. Don't know why I didn't think of that since my DH retired from an airline...rofl. So glad you all got to meet up and what a special plant you got Susie....so very nice. Well since you flew probably good you didn't jump out over KC and visit...rofl, altho I would of picked you up where ever you landed... ;) Yeah if you ever drive you can hit Debra's place in Derby then hit KC and onward north.... ;)

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Would love to meet you both, but if any of you ever get to San Antonio, just holler. It is a 3 hour trip for me, and would love to see you.

Verona, ON

I forgot to tell you how the names were drawn. Well they weren't really drawn they were stomped on! I put all the names out on the floor and then had Diesel put his paw on a piece of paper when I called out your name. If anything is amiss it is Diesel's fault. lol.

Kansas City (Joyce), MO(Zone 5a)

I would love to move back to SA actually, but heavens what would we do with all this "stuff" we have...rofl. I was lucky enough to meet Debra a couple of times when I use to travel some for work. I don't do that very often at all I send the guy that works for me. I don't mind traveling in the winter for business but to cooped up in a motel room during good weather kills me.

I was a busy little girl yesterday cleaning out the garden room and rearranging everything and I am sore today...rofl. Tugging pulling washing sweeping heavens. Looks like I took the junk out of the garden room and stuffed it in the garden shed.....so now I need to go thru it.

Virgil came back from town early Sunday morning and there were 3 big coyotes in our yard by the chicken coop! Usually he lets the chickens and ducks out first thing in the morning but he didn't which was a good thing this time. Pretty brazen animals, he took out after them with the truck across the field.... I have a 120 pound lab but he was busy lounging on the wicker lounger in front of the house....geehz. Course he stays up most night running things out of the yard, well probably doesn't run after them but let's them know he is around. The ducks started laying eggs, easy to tell them from the chickens cause the shell is white and they are bigger, none of the chickens lay white shelled eggs. Anyone ever eaten a duck egg?

Gonna be really warm here for about 3 days then we will get cold again. Hope halloween is nice, I love going with my DGD course now she is in school and her mom went back to work it will be a short night for sure.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Never had duck eggs that I know of.

(susie) Hastings, MI(Zone 5a)

Duck Eggs are a more Meatier or hardier egg very good in EGG Salad, Fluffier pancakes, & Cakes . 2 eggs Scabbled will feed 3 people
Nicely :)))) . we like them here . IF YOU GET THEM FRESH .

(Debra) Derby, KS(Zone 6a)

I grew up on duck, goose and rabbitt as well as chickens. Duck eggs are heavenly used in souffles, excellant for puddings and egg salad. Yummy.
glad Virgil took after that wiley coyote. I also worked all day yesterday in the outside, planted some day lillies and hardy shrubs, made cuttings and took seeds, cut down everything that was on the arbor, planted the passion vine starts and the list goes on.,... fell asleep in the lazy girl chair.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Prayers to you all Faye, I can't imagine.

Beautiful mum and behind I spied a beautiful brug.....?

Baton down the hatches you all on the east, the thought of losing power and the mess of it all. Good grief, hopefully the hurricane decides to make the weathermen look silly and goes out to sea instead of inward.

rofl about changing the channel on the tv while you are watching.....rofl. Them little guys seem to be the same....I watched in amazement when he use to do that to me, so all is fair play and I did it to him, talk about a shocked look...rofl. Now he says are you watching that? One black friday Walmart had big flat screens on sale for a great price but there must of been a gazillion people in line for them so I didn't even try but went back to the back of the store for something else and much to my amazement someone had taken one and then decided against it. So I put it in my cart, when I got home DH said we already have a big tv why did you buy another? I explained if we were watching seperate tvs I sure the heck wasn't watching some itty bitty screen in the bedroom like my DDIL...rofl. It has worked out great cause I can lay in bed or sit on the setee and see it without my glasses! or he goes to the bedroom and watches. Not sure watching tv is a couples sport...rofl.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

I have a lavender tree, full of seeds, if anyone wants some, please send me a Dmail with address, and I will get them out!

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Never know till you try it! I have mine in a huge pot, but they can get to be the size of a huge tree, 20 - 30 foot.

Dahlonega, GA

Happy , I bought another box for the bedroom . My DH has never used it , he had rather sit in the den and watch in there and goes to sleep in his chair . I just got the box this last summer . Right now he's watching Diners , Drive in's and Dives . EVERY Mon and Fri nite . ALL nite and he doesn't even cook . I'm sick of the reruns . My ex used to watch cartoons on Sat . morning . Do they ever grow up ?
