I am so very sorry to hear Ray is having to endure radiation burns. They are miserable! My thoughts are for both of you. I hope they are giving you all the things you need to treat the burns.

Henderson, NC(Zone 7b)

OKKKKKKKKKKK, all of you dear friends, please come back. What's happening?

Faye (((( hugs)))) she is beautiful like as you are..

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Hey Faye, she is beautiful! How are you guys doing? Are those toes healing?

Henderson, NC(Zone 7b)

Thank you Debra and Linda. Ray has had his last of 28 Radiation treatments. His back is burned almost purple but that was expected. In 4 weeks he will see the Surgeon and talk about surgery. I pray the tumor shrunk so the surgery won't be as invasive as originally stated. I think my toes are doing ok, will see Dr. this Thursday. The eye prosedure to open my tear ducts didn't work. (for the 3rd time)
Debra still praying for you and your Sister. Do hope she is feeling better and still has high hopes.
Hugs!

PS..Does anyone other than me like Semps. and tender succulents? I am totally hooked on all of them.

Sorry about th eye surgery not working, what will they do now? Glad to hear his radiation is done, not good that he is burned so bad. Hope it heals quickly. Sending prayers that the tumor has shrunk a lot, and that surgery is minimal!

Kansas City (Joyce), MO(Zone 5a)

Dahtzu I have quite a few sempstresses I started collecting them and mixing them in an old concrete planter that was my moms and fruity sent me a big flap jack. Ill try to take a pic tomorrow. You have quite collection. They are really nice.

(Debra) Derby, KS(Zone 6a)

i love your semps, Faye. Can you get any working hands cream there? That is what my sister used on her burns and her incisions.. they healed really fast with that stuff..

Kansas City (Joyce), MO(Zone 5a)

I am not sure all my semps will make it thru the winter here and I can't carry the concrete planter so I have to transplant every fall, which I need to get done soon. There are just some wild looking semps, and some neat colors and succulants. I had more but the ducks trimmed a few back to the ground for me.... ;(

Henderson, NC(Zone 7b)

Debra I've never heard of the cream you mentioned. The Oncology Dr. gave Ray cream for his back.
happ I'm so glad to see someone else hooked on these little jewels. As far as my collection, you wouldn't believe the # of both tender succulents and Hen & Chicks.
If you have tender succulents, take them inside. If you have Hen & Chicks they like cold and snow, leave them outside. (Semps.& Jovibarba...Semps, sedum and Jovibarba are all succulents belonging to the Crassulaceae family. Semps and Jovibarba are closely related, but have different growing habits...Info. copied from Lynn on ATP) As mine multiply, I will be glad to share with you.

This plant is from Amanda..such an interesting plant. Almost looks like a sweet-pea!
Hugs to all

That looks like a corkscrew vine?

Henderson, NC(Zone 7b)

lol, you're right LK. click on the picture.
Blessed day for all.

Kansas City (Joyce), MO(Zone 5a)

Dang I forgot to take a pic of my concrete planter...short term memory...rofl.
I won't be home early enough tonight to take a pic.

I have string of pearls, string of bananas, bananas grows pretty fast but that string of pearls is soooo slow, Aeonium
'Black Rose, Dyckia marnier lapostollei, course if I can't remember to take a pic I sure can't remember all the names...LOL. I had succulants planted in two different pots and the ducks got to one of the pots and pretty much destroyed it except for the Dyckia marnier lapostollei it doesn't have thorns like a cactus but has sharp points, the concrete planter sits on a pedistal so it was safe..rofl.

Yeap I diffently like those little guys, same here glad someone else enjoys them

Henderson, NC(Zone 7b)

happ just got these and they were just labeled succulents, had no name. Can you ID any of them?
I have maybe 30 more that I cannot name and 67 named ones. Gonna hate myself when I have to get them all in the sun room.

sister called me, the cancer tumors are again building fluid and she now has a quarter lung capacity and her heart is full of fluid so they are going to drain it next week, i am frustrated because I can't go there to be with her..her fighting spirit is amazing, she says she will do anything to stay alive a little longer, and she isn't feeling any pain, just the suffocating part, and she says as long as she doesn't feel like she is dying, she will keep on doing what ever she can.. silly girl is working out in her yard tommorrow in the rain with her oxygen tank LOL

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Sending prayers Debra!

Raining here and warm feels like spring bad thing bad combination of weather could have bad storms

Henderson, NC(Zone 7b)

Debra I'm so sorry your Sister is having more problems. With her good attitude I bet when the Good Lord does call her home, she will be smiling and ready to go.
Seems like every time I post it's with bad news. I learned early last week that my SIL has bone cancer. Test results came back this week and if treatment works, she may have 6 months + to live. If treatments don't work, she has 2 or less months. I hate to hear the word cancer and seems that everyone is getting it.

Goodness happ, you made me think you may be a little nuts, driving while typing. LOL so glad to know you weren't the driver this time.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Faye, so sorry to hear that, sending prayers!
Susie, wish you could have made it of, hope your tooth is better? We had a great time! I will call you and see what day this week we can get together for some chat time!

Here are the plants I received in the tropical swap and I actually got them planted. Got some nice succulants, somewhere I posted a pic of my planter from last year, but doesn't seem to be on this forum....where oh where.... Got this cowboy boot and stuck some succulants in it, does anyone know what that short light green succulant is?

happ love your succulents but disappointed that I have the same ones..lol really I was hoping to share with you. That is one sharp boot, where is the mate? Sorry I don't know the name of the noids. I potted 15 succulents today in individual pots that I had originally planted in 2 tray like planters. Gosh I'm going to hate myself when I have to find a space in the sun room for all my succulents plus reg. house plants.
Thank you all for your continued prayers..We need them.

Dahlonega, GA

Please tell me that's a ceramic boot? A real one like that would be setting on my display shelf .
Continued prayers for Ray , he always sounded so sweet on the phone . I have a lot of friends to catch up with , I'm not neglectful , just overwhelmed with work and getting old. It takes me longer these days .

Henderson, NC(Zone 7b)

LOL digger, welcome to the "Takes me longer club". I've been there so long and it's still the pits.
Moved all my small succulents into the sun room today & thought I would never finish. (knew I was going to hate myself for buying so many when this time came) There was a time I could have done the job in about half the time. Here is part of them!
