So sorry Cookie for your loss. How fortunate to have had him near you during his last times. A very sad year for many of us.
Sweet Interruptions # 246
Joyce - sorry for the loss of your father...... your family was indeed blessed to have him in their lives.
For those of us that met him - how truly wonderful. I wish I had.......
I think I took after my Dad in a lot of ways/ He did have a wonderful sense of humor and was a friend to all that would have him
Can't see that anybody wouldn't adore him..and yes you are very much like your dad!
Thanks Sue, how did it go yesterday? I had planned on being with you. Life (death) got in the way.
Arrangements have been made. Here is a link to his obit.

Thanks for the link, I signed the guest book!
Thanks LK...off to the grocery store for some kitten food. 4 wks old yesterday, but I don't think mama is keeping up with 6 little ones milk wise!
Joyce, they are so adorable...
Thank the Lord border patrol would not let me bring them over to my side of the world or I likely would have a few more kitties!
Thoughts and prayers are with you today
Joyce - I signed the Guest Book. Your father is now able to watch over you and assist, more than he was able to before. You have a new guardian angel!
Betty - I know you run a B&B - Bob & I are going to one in Calgary, for our anniversay (it's Oct 10th, but that's a Wed). We'll be going Oct 5th
Here's where we're going: http://www.tuxedohousebb.com/#
Here is the latest on Sue and the case per Ric:
The sentencing is mostly done in Sue's daughter Jessica's Death.
It will be 42 years before Matthew Puccio is even eligible for Parole.
So he will be 68... before the first Parole hearing.
Puccio, 26, was sentenced to life with parole eligibility after 30 years on the charge of aggravated murder, but will have to serve consecutive terms of 12 years for assault, gross abuse of a corpse and tampering with evidence. He pleaded guilty to all of those charges earlier in the case.
Less than 90 minutes earlier, co-defendant Andrew Forney was sentenced to 10 years in prison for his part in the case.
Sharon Cook, another co-defendant, was first in the courtroom Monday and received three years in prison.
Christopher Wright, another co-defendant, received four years in prison. Cook and Wright were fined $500.
Wright, 37; Cook, 25; Kandis Forney, 25; and Andrew Forney, 26, also pleaded to several charges after they were accused of helping cover up the crime and helping Puccio.
Kandis Forney, the final co-defendant, is to be sentenced Tuesday.
I have edited it a bit for Sue's benefit.
Thanks Joyce. Thinking of you both today.....
Thanks for the info Cookie! Nice to know most of them are going away for a long time!
Jaye, where are you? Turn on your phone please?
Ooooh Susan, so elaborate, certainly mne is nothing as inviting..just a place to stay when no other n the area is available....good for you both after the last year to get out and celebrate..
Joyce thanks for posting..Sue will be relieved not to have to attend court and hear all the details..now comes the difficult part of healing..
Yes, so true.....here is the latest that Sue posted:
court today went well.
Candace Forney got 6 yrs !! we didn't see that coming !! prosecution and i both looked at each other amazed. I believe the judge didn't like her answers of the questions he asked. Four of the murderers had ample and many oppurtunity to call police during the 8 day's . No one had a good enough answer as to why they never sought help. THey traded loyalty to each for a life ...
and so be it
I'm glad the court days are over for you, Sue. I hope working in Gigi's garden will help in the healing.
Thank you Joyce, for posting on Sue's behalf
Sue - we're all thinking about you...... and sending hugs/prayers
Betty - I figure we've been through enough this year, to not give ourselves a little luxury for a couple of nights. We may stay one night (Friday) or two (Friday/Saturday). At $90/night, it's pretty reasonable, AND in our neighbourhood lol We could almost walk there, if we weren't carrying luggage lol It's about 14 blocks from us
thanks everyone
i was hoping for a few weeks off to process all of this but my boss sandy has shingles and i m going to cover her and i got 10 houses and two offices to do this week to help her out.
thank you all for your inspiration , the quilt, your encouragment. patience, prayers and love. i could have not gotten through this wiht out you all
i will be pretty busy the next few days so don't think i m ignorning you all
love and hugs
sue
Sue, that sounds like a very heavy workload for the week. Take time to relax some and take care of yourself.
Morning everyone! Coffee is ready!
Message from Synda on facebook!
Hi Linda Kay,
Spoke with Jaye for a few minutes earlier ! She is OK, just very tired. She and Kel have been doing a lot of running for appliances for the shop and that has kept her drained and when she has been home a storm seems to interrupt her phone and pc time! She asked me to ask you if you'd let the thread on Dave's know all is well and she will jump on when she gets her breath.
Hugs, Synda
The sounds you just heard was a sigh of relief. It is so unlike Jaye to be missing this long that I was getting very concerned. Thanks LK and Synda. Jaye, we miss you so hurry back to us!!!
phew - glad Jaye's ok - I've tried to call her several times, and never get an answer.....
Hope she's getting Some rest.........
Sue - when you say "we use her cleaners" are you talking about liquid cleaners, or the human kind? I'm confused.......... lol
Hurry back, Jaye, we all miss you so much.
Why did they fire you? Sorry about a bad day! (((((((((((((((((HUGS)))))))))))))))))
Sorry Sue for all your troubles. ((((Hugs))))
well the guy didn't call my boss to tell us her hired a new girl to clean for him.... so when i got there he just said " i m sorry i hired another girl "
guy is a pervert anyhow, i cleaned for him once a long time ago, he was on the computer talking nasty to women ! eeewwww. He has two hearing aids in and i guess he forgets to turn them on ? and he was in the other room loudly talking... yep heard it alll..... again eeewwwww.
ewwwwwwwwwwwwwww
I agree, that is pretty gross!
he "hired a new girl"? hmmmmmm maybe she's "his type'? ewwwwwww
Hopefully she is deaf!!!!
LOL!
Morning everyone! Coffee is ready!
Morning everyone, beautiful day her today. Doors and windows are open, no AC need so far! Birds are singing, and coffee is ready.
Good morning Linda Kay. It is supposed to be nice here too. Right now we are laid low with fog but I hope it will burn off soon.....
Good morning all. It is cool here, so far. Now is the time I should be outside doing some clean up. Love the cool breeze coming in the window. Next week we are supposed to get some high temps. so better enjoy cool when I can
Good afternoon....our internet has been up and down for several days now but hopefully it is fixed.
We are in the low 90s now, slight breeze and extremely humid. Finishing up last minute things in preparation for a visit from Isaac. Yes, it is beginning to look more and more like we will have a gentlemen caller.
Not the kind of gentleman one wants at their doorstep
Saying prayers for your safety Marion and that of all along the Gulf. I have a nephew in Mississippi (gee, that's fun to type!) and he is hunkering down too.
