Liz, that is the same reason I had to quit PT, it was horrible the way they charged. Keep getting stronger.....sounds like you are doing great.
The vet is wondering if some of Izzy's itch isn't an allergy. AND she said the fleas have to bite her before they die...so there is a reaction from that.
Best/Worse/what did I learn today? Betty's adventures!
Also why I may not go back to rehab maintenance! Plus they are changing the hours from 1:30-3:30 to 3:00-4:30 throughout the winter and it is quite dark by 4:30 here. I don't like to drive at night and usually by 3:00 pm I have already done a day's work. Sooooo - I must give this some thought. All that on top of the cost. Medicare does not help with it.
Feel so badly for you all to have to stop going for PT because of charges...glad we have the medical coverage we do..
Liz, after enjoying an early morning swim not so sure I could leave only to head to work..lol so glad you are doing better..shall I ask about the smoking??? Bet you beat it...how is Kenny doing?
Barb, can be hazardous driving for sure..lots you can, like Liz, do at home on your own..
Meant to ask, when you are sewing, what #needle are you using on cotton..mind went bland lol did buy needles for machine quilting though, wonder if they will help.
Debbie, today is bath day for Izzy and kitties, quite a days work for you! I is bad ..really bad...I don't bath Riley and Missy..should I?
Thanks all, still doing good. Funeral arrangements are all made and his obit is on line from the funeral home if any one would like to see. (Nicodemus)

We'll have all back here to our place for a celebration of his life after the service and burial. Hope I have enough food!
Good Morning
Mary, GS is going to RPCC...keeping my money at home...grin. He will go there for at least a year while he figures out what he wants to major in. He will get the basic requirement courses out of the way, as they are the same no matter which college/univ you attend. Cost wise it is about 1/3 the tuition of LSU and my Scottish blood says why pay triple for the same thing? (we don't care about the ambiance or the football team) grin
Such a shame re Physical therapy and the costs. Even with good insurance health care is expensive....and my heart goes out to those who do not have insurance...one major illness can bankrupt a family.
Good thoughts and hugs for you and your family Joyce. What a long life and gentle passing your Dad had.
Hope everyone has a lovely day.
Jean
smoking done as of the 14th of June.
stupid people at the pool! just got in water on lap side this witch says are you lap swimming if your not you have to go on that side good grief give me a minute to get situated
You tell her Liz...too funny!!! Some people have absolutely no patience..proud of you girl, know it must be difficult thing to do..how about our Kenny, did he help by giving it up as well? Am making a cd of the Chicago trip to Judy's, lovely photo's..will send you and Judy a CD..
Nice Jean that he is able to go to a local school, as you say money is better in your pocket than theirs for accommodations...
OHHHH OHHHH got a telephone call, Kyle said sorry about the dent in your car Grandma but I did pass and have my drivers permit now...told him dents are easily repaired...knew he was kidding and Greg likely put him up to it..bet he's on cloud nine..am sure the minute he arrives home that Jeep of his will be on the road..
YEAH KYLE!!!!! We knew you could do it!
Congrats to Kyle. Well Done. Here the kids take the "book" part of driver's Ed as a 1/2 credit course in high school. Then they take private driving course (about $300 for a week) and written test to get a certificate to take to the DMV so they can take the written test and driver's test. Convoluded to say the least...grin
Fortunately, there are a number of places GS can attend and still live at home as they are all in reasonable driving distance from us, under 1 hour driving time.
Thank you all...
Jean, unlike here you don't have the blizzards for the kids to worry about 3 or 4 months of the year, think that is part of the reason a lot have housing
Absolutely, the weather is a consideration for many folks. Believe me, the choice to live here was planned...not an accident. I have always joked that if the good Lord wanted me to live where it it snows, He would have given me FUR., mink optional...grin
Too funny!
when travelling so I wouldn't erase photo's of my trip on camera I had Walgreen put them on CD's..well just when to access them, can't..sends me to their photo shop and wants to include all my computer photo's as well..drats..just want my photo's
What a nasty thing to charge so much for therapy swimming....!!
Betty - hope your camera's alright!
Looks like I'm here for another week (until Aug 31), and the other EA (Linda) says it's likely going to be "renew another week, and another, and another" lol
We'll see...... they haven't found anyone for this position yet, so here I stay until they do
Here is what Ric posted on the Ohio thread regarding Sue:
The sentencing is mostly done in Sue's daughter Jessica's Death.
It will be 42 years before Matthew Puccio is even eligible for Parole.
So he will be 68... before the first Parole hearing.
Puccio, 26, was sentenced to life with parole eligibility after 30 years on the charge of aggravated murder, but will have to serve consecutive terms of 12 years for assault, gross abuse of a corpse and tampering with evidence. He pleaded guilty to all of those charges earlier in the case.
Less than 90 minutes earlier, co-defendant Andrew Forney was sentenced to 10 years in prison for his part in the case.
Sharon Cook, another co-defendant, was first in the courtroom Monday and received three years in prison.
Christopher Wright, another co-defendant, received four years in prison. Cook and Wright were fined $500.
Wright, 37; Cook, 25; Kandis Forney, 25; and Andrew Forney, 26, also pleaded to several charges after they were accused of helping cover up the crime and helping Puccio.
Kandis Forney, the final co-defendant, is to be sentenced Tuesday.
I have edited it a bit for Sue's benefit.
Meant to reply earlier Betty, - when I am piecing a quilt top, I use a SCHMETZ Microtex Sharp Needle #70/10.
When I am quilting, I use a SCHMETZ Quilting needle #75/11 or #90/14. I replace the needle fairly often - about every 15 to 20 hours of sewing use.
Congratulations to Kyle!! He must be over the moon!
Hooray for SCHMETZ needles.....would think about using anything else.
Betty, I know you are beaming from here to there about Kyle. Big day for all.
drats, just made a long post, zap it's gone..will respond when I get home
shaking my head
Aw what a sweetheart he was....I'll surely miss his smiling face and twinkling eyes!
Thanks, Betty
Dropped into Cathy's to drop off a birthday gift, she wasn't home and her dad said now I'd done it because he (likely her mom) had completely forgotten it was her birthday!
Went and traded vehicles..I forgot to put gas in Mel's but they forgot to put some n mne, so tit for tat. Lol
Felt like having an early night but remembered it was tv bingo night tonight..here's hoping jackpot is RU's..both want new riding lawnmowers..As though we'll win..
Joyce thanks for update on Due, thanks be to the Lord that the court part will son be over, now healing begins..she would have been overwhelmed hearing the particulars of that night, thank goodness she will not have to.
Susan, extra week will help, who knows, just mabe another will be given if no replacement fond..in the meantime you can enjoy your weekend getaway
Barb, thanks for info re needles..will jot it Dow..know I have a chart somewhere but where..Marion still raining in your neck of the woods?
What projects are you both working on?
Latest from Sue, from court today....
court today went well.
Candace Forney got 6 yrs !! we didn't see that coming !! prosecution and i both looked at each other amazed. I believe the judge didn't like her answers of the questions he asked. Four of the murderers had ample and many oppurtunity to call police during the 8 day's . No one had a good enough answer as to why they never sought help. THey traded loyalty to each for a life ...
and so be it
I'm still amazed how you could put that many people in a room and all go along with such a plan..has to be drugs, mind boggling for sure...how are you coping Joyce, hope family is easing the pain.
Suzanne asked if I wanted to head to Franklin, sure would have liked to but body says no can do..
Decided to play with photo program while waiting for tv bingo and Ann, started with the gathering...I smiled as I set in each photo, once done will send anyone who wants a cd a cd
Think we had fun, at least the photo's look like we had a good time.
As I sit here listening to Sailor breathing deeply my thoughts turn to Dianne and Diesel..how is the training process going Dianne?
Gee whizzzz, one would think Katie would be out and able to give us an update, sure hope she is ok
She might be out, but no internet service in her Van.
Yes, we are still getting showers off and on but thankfully the temps are much cooler. Would attempt to work outside but the mosquitoes are horrible.
Just finished sistah's gathering photo's, transitions and captions..Marion, laughed at the photo's of BJ,Joanna and the girls eating butter tarts and making faces to tease you lol
Weather is suppose to get quite hot by the weekend, great news as I want to do very little...our skitters haven't been all that bad this year
Debbie, likely, just hoped maybe a friend could have contacted someone..here is hoping all went well!
That time of night, past my bedtime for sure
Sleep tight girls
Geez thanks Betty, just what I wanted to read with my morning coffee...others enjoying butter tarts without me. LOL Oh well maybe they will understand my addiction to them.
I wish the "skitters" weren't so bad here but unless the leaves are mowed weekly with the rains it's not going to change. The huge magnolia leaves trap just enough water for a breeding ground and I just don't see myself out picking up each leaf and draining the water out. NOT!!!
Enjoy the day.
That they were, will have to post photo of BJ and Joanna lol
When I was on the lake I bought a fogger and fogged morning and evening once a week and before you know it, not a skitter..not an expensive proposition.
Marion, did you know that they HID the butter tarts from me? I had never had one....and the night before we left, someone finally brought them out and I had my first one ever! IT was so so good. THEN I found out, they had all hidden them....and 3 layers were missing!
Oh my yes they are good but that wasn't very nice of them to hide them. Then again, if I had been able to come, they might have been hidden sooner! LOL I have the recipe but I don't dare make any as I would be so sick.............
Good Morning
I wonder if Katie went from hospital to Rehab center? My neighbor had a knee replacement and after 3 days in hospital, they sent him directly to the Rehab wing, He was there for a full week. If Katie does not have a lap top/I pad, she wouldn't be able to stay in touch, and wonder if she would even bring it to Kaiser with her?
Hope everyone has a lovely day with sunshine and cool breezes.
Jean
Morning everyone! Katie, if your lurking, call me. My number is 830-734-7801. I can then update everyone here!
How about a new thread Betty?
Hey Betty, there will be two more ladies joining us in Frankenmuth. Siliolgma/Karen, and Deejay9/Susie. They both live in Michigan! This is going to be such a fun trip. Cookie, are you going to be able to make the trip?
Helloooooooo Everyone!!!!
Joyce big big big hugs for you girl!!
Happy belated bday Mary!!! I'm so sorry I missed it!
I just want to say that is the best news for Sue I could have imagined!
Hope Katie's surgery went as planned, she could very well be in rehab, but they, along with the hospitals, have internet access. When I was in for my appendectomy I got online on my phone all the time using their free wifi lol
Oh those butter tarts are awesome, I can smell them now!
Well my divorce is going and going and going, he decided to move my stuff out to the living room and move another woman and her 13 year old daughter in my room, clothes hanging in my closet, condoms in the wrappers in a bowl on the kitchen counter. I told her the correct story and that she couldn't be there, don't know if she still is or not, need to find out somehow though. We have a final court date set for Oct. 23rd, I have to fight for my inheritance that I got before we got married, can't just give it away because someone decides it would be a good idea if they take it from me, gold diggers.
Other than that and a nasty bladder infection I'm doing fine! Living the life!
Moving you all to a new room
