I'm also sore and moving slowly. Temp only down to 81 this am. I'm researching buying insulation and maybe another more powerful aair conditioner.

The good news is that our water is back on.

LindaKay, I'm sure you will be aching for quite some time, sometimes body is in shock and aches and pains will surface..you sure had an angel driving along side of you. Do you have a rental car?

Debbie, a feast fit for a Queen! Oh oh how did you find out he was with friends rather than working? did the girls let it slip?

Debbie will tell Melanie about being more focused with the stick..am sure it's like any parent, worried about a 16 year old driving..imagine $3,800 a year for insurance. They sure don't. Make thinks easy for kids do they?

Telephoned Cathy to see what is up, haven't really seen her in a month..I've phoned, I've dropped in but she has always been out. I was worried I may have offended her in some way..finally this morning (was just typing what should I do) I tried once more..got her on the line and we gabbed for about a 1/2 hr. seems she has been busy helping those in need..another friend of hers has been quite ill and also an elderly man who is starting with dimension whose family asked her to check in on him so been busy, just busy..

Told her I bought her a ticket for this Sunday morning Elvis Gospel show in Collingwood as part of the thank you for looking after the furries while I'm off to New Orleans..

All is well with the world, hate thinking I may have upset someone in some way..those thoughts always drive me crazy.

Speaking of calls, should call mom, they are on holidays at the cottage this week..

What a great first vehicle, We got Julia a 5 speed for her first car too, He'll learn to drive it very quickly and will decide it's fun to drive...Plus it is a great way to keep them from txting on the road, lol cause they can't...We loved the ride to Sarnia!! Hardly any traffic except for the big towns...Kind of wished we could see more of the lake, but for the most part I loved all the scenery and towns...It took us a lot longer then normal because we had a mishap with luggage falling from the back of the bike!! Almost lost our Leathers!! Fortunately, only lost a few things to road rash, which Thank Heavens, took the brunt and the leathers are perfectly fine...(Was do to bad packing!) Anyway, We stayed at the Drawbridge Inn Suites. A beautiful place!! Go on Groupons and get a nice discount! We only paid $75..what a Steal of a bargain!! Going through Customs there, lol like less then 5 minutes!!

So, yesterday...i went to Huber, plodded on with the work for only 2 hours!! I finally gave up, exhausted and so sore, my muscles were screaming for relief. So i told Steve, Im going to go home and take a nap...never slept but i did rest while lying down and watching a show...Decided, heck with it, not working any more today. I have to get a day of doing nothing, lol so I did just that!! Played with the tablet, still learning things...Walked around and took pictures of MY Jungles, and that they Are, ROFLOL, so what else is new with that. Oh but how Beautiful they look in the Wild! Every year is a different look, this year, wild daisies and Queen Annes Lace mixed with my butterfly bush...It looks especially pretty at dusk, with all the white floral!! And i've got some real pretty " Actual" flowers too!! OMG, my Bee Balm out front is back, thought I'd ripped them out! And yay,my Hibbies have buds!!...LOL, played with tablet some more! Sabrina, loaded Solitare, for me, hahah, holy cards!! who'ld a thought there are over 250 types of Solitare??? Found a couple I enjoy, so will keep them a for a bit, until i master them...Read the rest of Jeff and Julies kayak trip...pouting, only goes to 6 days!! OK, hope they enjoy the Motorized part of their trip!! lol, know i would...Attempted to post pictures on tablet, got too aggrevated again, so gave that up, haha, I'll get the hang, some day.

About 20 minutes later Shannon sent him a text "Jeanna and I are coming down to visit, see you soon".

Shane replied "Don't bother, on my way to Kyle's".

Another 10 minutes...I get a text....going to Kyle's for the night, so he knew his cover had been blown....so he told me knowing darn well his
sisters would have. Kyle's brother works in the kitchen down there, so I am sure he went down there thinking when Kyle came to pick up
his brother...they had an escape route.

No Betty, that chunk of quartz is from Arkansas. We found it while digging a flowerbed for my Mom years ago. I agree, kids often forget just how loved and fortunate they are. Seems this generation is into instant gratification....I need it NOW.

Barb, good to hear you are moving more easily. Won't be long before you are ready for the dance floor...grin

LK, hope the soreness eases up soon. I find it usually is worse the second and third day after, then starts easing up. Do keep an eye on the ribcage...seat belts are notorious for causing broken ribs and bruised lungs.

Debbie, glad you had a lovely B'day dinner with family...isn't that just like a boy to "hafta work"? GRIN

Katie, our central a/c decided to die a couple weeks ago. We fortunately had 3 small 110v window units (purchased for surviving the heat post hurricane...run on generators) Our house is 1700sf and they keep it around 74 degrees in the daytime, even when the outside temp is in the high 90's and heat index is triple digit. The bonus is that they cost less to run that the central unit and we get the same cool from them. Glad they got the water back on. Do rest and let your aches heal....and please, be careful.

Morning everyone. Betty, the rains seem to have moved away from us so I am hoping it has gone to areas that really need it. Forgot to take the mosquitoes with it though!!!! Funny how I have very little grass but have to mow my leaves.

Kim and I managed to get the remaining shelves stained and the area under the kitchen sink done yesterday. Now to that awful chore of putting things back, sorting and throwing out as we go.....atleast I hope there is some throwing out!!

Oohhhh, Shane!!! So busted.. maybe he had every intent to work...lol Debbie just thinking out loud, haha, now ducking and running!!

starting my 12 week cardiac rehab tomorrow like i want to do all this exercising on machines yuck!

took Kenny to San Pablo dam reservoir for his birthday yesterday had a lot of fun we rented a boat.

i pick the hottest day to do this it was so hot on the water we went to a little corner where no one could see us and it was overboard for me! Kenny yelling get back in the boat before someone sees you
well i would of but i ran into some trouble when i stood up i was in some sandy area sinking lol

only me! he caught a big mouth bass but it was too small to keep, lots of biting on the lines but no luck
we had fun so relaxing and no city noise packed a big cooler full of junk and a few healthy things we stayed on the water for 7 hours it was nice.

was outside working then Suzanne came and we've virtually worked all day on her lamp, it's fini..thank God, that only took her 5 years..of course first 5 was letting the glass age in the box lol. Marg her sister will absolutely love it, now waxed so once cleaned/buffed I will post photo's.

Judy, thanks, that is nice to know..do you have any idea as to how many hours it took..going 401 to Sarnia is likely 5 1/2 hrs..am sure it took much longer than that.

Kyle just called, asked I'd I would like to come for eats, laying on the chersterfield right noe feels good but with everyone busy the next 3 weeks figure I should go..besides, my bathing suit is there and I may need it for my trip, who knows, might just go for a swim!

Liz, I just finished 9 weeks of pulmonary rehab which is very similar to cardiac (they are next to each other where I go) I'm on oxygen 24/7 and if I could do it, you can try..... I'm going back for the maintainance program as soon as I heal. It is nowhere near as bad as you can imagine. I found it to be fun!!!!

oh barb hope your doing good, well i was thinking of scamming a deal swimming instead of machines lol we will see how that go,s over with them :)

Betty no no swimming allowed its a reservoir for drinking water i should be hanging my head in shame lol but it was so hot it made hot flashes look cold i couldn't stand it another minute.

yes haven't smoked since June 14 and have been eating healthy haven't gone near fast food, did cheat and fried some zucchini but it was in canola oil and very little, had a few servings of hash browns but that is the extent of bad oh ya and yesterday lol

Just got back from Greg's..you all know that I have a special place for Kyle, well I just don't think I'm going to survive his teenage years. Greg had a friend who is a mechanic come over to check the Jeep out, while talking I heard Greg say that there would once he gets his G 2 license have some restrictions, Kyle belts out, " it's my jeep and I'll drive it when I want to" where did the nice little boy go?? Decided to come home before I let in to him..here I do but at their home NOT ! Lord help those who have teens..

Well Liz I'm proud of you, that isn't an easy feat, know how you love to smoke, now if you can talk Kenny into doing same you'll have extra funds to buy a boat so can can fish every weekend. You didn't let your SIL clean your cupboards did you. Lol

Betty, now you see what I am going through. Try telling a kid to be home be a certain time and I get "I am over 18..I will do what I want." Tell him "Not in my house" and then they get worse....it escalates...not pretty.

Back home from camping - had a great 2 1/2 days - going back for long weekend in aug - 2 weeks from now.

'sides, if they're retiring at 55yo, and we're older...................... lol

Betty I really admire you.... I do love my MIL but if she had stepped in and given DSD's a talking to they would be better for it. NO ONE has ever chastised them as they should be. I can NOT believe how they talk back to my DH....

Barb, how are you feeling today, healing ok? Just spoke with Ann, she got home late last night..was in P.E.I. for a week, roads in Quebec were terrible so she crossed over and ended up doing the route Maine/Massachusetts and ended up in Buffalo..loved the countryside.

LindaKay, something definately wrong if onstar and the bags didn't work.. We depend on these life saving defects and for them to not work when needed is just not right especially as we don't know they are not working until needed!!!!!

Suzanne just went on Grand Ole Opry and booked our tickets, Carrie Underwood will be singing and they have a 9:30 pm show, great timing. Debbie as we are booking it I remember the fun you and I had at the Opry..it was just so nice to see the smile from ear to ear as you listened to the show.

The problems with the airbag are very scary, LK, but, even so you walked away...and the other car did not fair nearly as well....one thing about the GMCs....they are sturdy. I spoke to my son about it. He is a GMC dealership mechanic. He said you need to have the truck towed to your dealership and advise them of what happened. was the airbag light on before the accident, and was OnStar working? If the light was not on, then GMC will send a Crash engineer to download all the info from your onboard computer...it will tell them exactly what was going on prior to the accident and will map the damage for them. He says GMC will stand behind you without the need for an attorney to make them. He said if you have questions, he will be happy for you to call him and he will give you as much info as he can without being able to see the damage himself. I can Dmail you his number.

Betty, I shudder to think what the result would have been had I made that statement to my parents....at best the car would have been on blocks for a very long time...at worst...well ya get the picture. Perhaps they should remind him that they paid for half the vehicle...and the part that belongs to them is the driver's seat and keys....grin.

I don't know if the light for the airbags were on or not. I know onstar was working, because I called them about 30 minutes before hand for directions. They told me I did not have the directions part of the program, only for emergencies. What is the reason it has to be at my dealership? Right now it is sitting at Gunn collision center in San Antonio, part of the Gunn Chevrolet center. 160 miles from where I live.

Jean, think we were born in more respectful time. I'll wait until he visit one day and have a talk with him..tell him how special he is to me, how I love him but at the moment don't like him!!!!

Katie, think the heat is getting everyone down..shows rain for today but it's a gorgeous day, shows rain every day next week but it's doubtful, ooohhh Greg and Mel and the boys wouldn't like it, they are doing the trent with the Foxy Lady.

LindaKay, know with the vehicle I just bought after 6 months it's a monthly fee to keep OnStar..
