Judy - I got a percolator like that for camping - we'll be using it for the first time this weekend.
I won't be online after tonight. Leave work early at Noon tomorrow, and then "hit the road" as soon as we can!!

Wow busy weekend for some of US!!!!

Great news on Barb!!!!

I had been battling vertigo these past few days. Yesterday was the first day I could actually stand up without getting dizzy. I am so glad it passed because Sheri is having a bunch of gals get together tonight and I am fixing Beef Stroganoff. Then 2morrow the guys will show up for breakfast and I am fixing Egg Bake casserole then we are taking a ride. Us gals are going to decide on a route tonight. After the ride back to Sheri's for a BBQ and birthday cake for one of the guys. The weather has been really cool it was 77 on Tuesday it even sprinkled a little bit. Just enough to make a mess on my already filty dirty car, lol. So I will be washing it before I leave today. But the temps are going back up to triple digits come Sunday ugh :(. I will be back in Auburn next week to babysit.

Thank you Thea for relaying the good news on Barb here. Very much relieved that she's able to have the laparocospic done instead of the conventional one! Amen, praise Him, praise Him. So that means a shorter recovery period. Again, thanks Thea. Please tell our precious sistah that she's not to rush into anything physical.

Betty, I don't want to face a blizzard. It's bad enough we have hurricanes and tornadoes here.

The happy pills have made me too happily lethargic!! Is it the heat or the lull of the thundershowers. Hmm... not a good combo if I want to get things done.

A wonderful 67 degrees this morning. Unfortunately the heat will be moving in soon...with the afternoon thunderstorms.

Jaye, it looks like the 2 of us will be holding the fort down this weekend. Not planning on any travel unless it is an emergency. I will however, be digging into getting rid of more junk so we repairman can start the finishing work on the "dungeon". Drug out long enough!! Besides I have sistahs coming next year and that has motivated me to get the work done......NOW!!!! Thank you ladies!!

As for the dungeon, I'm sure it will be perfectly fine with a cot or two there, and if Kel's accompanying me, he'd be fine on the floor. Lol!

ROFLOL, Jaye currently it is a storage area and it HAS to be finished before I lose my sanity...what little I have left. The kitchen was a necessity!

You can fish off the dock if you so wish but no dangling feet in the water....we now have 2 resident alligators in the lake. One about 3 1/2 ft. likes to hang around our dock. Could be it is a good spot for fish and wildlife. In fact, he is just a little to curious for me but having grown up in Florida, I know to watch and pay attention when go near the edge of the water...don't want any surprises of them coming up on the bank and sunning in my yard. I also have a paddle boat that anyone will be welcome to use..they supply the power. LOL

Morning everyone. I am back home, and no new machine! After I saw my ortho Dr. I was driving across town to go see my son, and some lady in a brand new Chrysler on my right side, decided to try and make a left turn, hit my Acadia, and shoved me I to a big metal utility pole. The Acadia is probably totaled! I spent a few hours in the ER, had lots of Xray's. Dr. say's everything is fine, just bruised. Todd had to drive the mustang to come and get me to bring me back home. My left knee is swollen and bruised, and my lower back and neck is sore, but all just bruised and whiplash. Guess we will be working with the insurance companies to get it all straightened out!

So sorry to hear of your accident LK. Glad no broken bones, but a whiplash can be miserable. Bruised knee doesn't sound good either. Pray that all turns out well.

Days are getting warmer and I'm having a problem with all this heat. Can't even think straight, but then DH would say that was normal for me. The best thing I can do is go in and read the rest of my book while laying under the ceiling fan.

Will there ever be a cure for Cancer? Ray will start Radiation soon and will go Mon.-Fri. for 6 weeks. Cancer is back (we think) M.R.I. couldn't prove nor disprove that the growth is cancer because of all the scar tissue from previous surgeries. I'm scared to death, and if it wasn't for prayer I know holding on would be impossible for me.

Lk keep them medical records . you have a right to get compensation from that woman . Its not being greedy or dishonest, trust me on this one!
you have a right to be compensated for the damage she created. Let me know if you need anything. i have been through this before .

got a new guinea pig :P LOL what can i say... i broke ...
son got a new rabbit... paid to much for it.... again.... i was weak.
i got 10 new sexlink chickens. they are pretty healthy looking... they do have lice... yea ! ... not.... dusted with Sevin... but i think they will be good chickens ?
got a used cage also. i was not fast enough for some of the other cages... next time i will be faster. good deals at auctions... i m hooked !
did go over budget. not good. so i guess my beer budget is a bit thiner this week.
i couldn't believe how many rabbits there were !! must have been 200 .... just rows of rabbits... some were only 1.00 if i knew how to cull rabbits i would have a freezer full !

Prayers being sent up for Faye & Ray. They have been through so much already.

I am feeling a little better today, still have a sore back and knee is still swollen, but not too bruised. Ice packs help a lot on the knee and back.

I'm glad to see you are doing a bit better too Linda Kay. I guess we two will just gimp along until we are ready to run again!!!! As you say, each day will get easier. Keep up with the ice and keep us posted on how you are doing. It must have been one he^% of a time for you.

That is for sure. I had multiple dreams last night , and I keep seeing and feeling the front end of the Acadia hit that darn post.

Just got home from my weekend of partying at Sheri's house. Friday night slumber party didn't happen, all the girls went home :( But they all stuffed themselves on my Beef Stroganoff, then we topped it off with fresh peach pie and ice cream. Then yesterday we all took off on a rdie. And not without any mishaps either. First off about a mile from Sheri's the throddle on our bike stuck. Pull in to gas station, an easy fix and we are off again. Met up with another couple and continued our journey. Stopped at a place to get a cold one, and noticed one couple did not make it in with us. We called their cell phones and could not get them. So we all hopped back on the bikes to go look for them. They had broke down just as they turned into where we were going get a cold one. So get them fixed and we take off again. It was not a comfortable ride for me or Doug, he was hurting really bad and his hands and right leg kept going to sleep. And I was worried that we would crash or something. The stubburn man I told him we could just stay at Sheri's and relax but NOOOOOOOOO...By the time we got back to Sher's he was pretty wore out. I was the first one in the pool!!!! And boy did it feel good, it was 100+ yesterday. We had a nice BBQ and bithday surprise for one of the guys.

I broke my little toe on my right foot. Was laying on lounge chair and got up to show Jane where the brats were in the frig and kicked the other lounge chair as I was walking past. Then a little while later I kicked it again OW!!!!! My toe is really red but in between it's really black. So I get home and the "girls" have not seen me for two days, of course they are excited and Amy stepped on my toe OW again!!! Then I was walking thru kitchen and kicked bag of dogs food OW again!!! That's it I'm done for the day......gonna kick back on the bed and elevate my foot.
Will be back at my daughter's this week........and back into triple digits again for a few days sure glad she got her a/c fixed ugh, if not we would be spending our days at the public pool.......................

Oh Cindy, that sure hurts when you kick a sore, broken toe. Maybe you can wrap them with tape to give them support? And a reminder to you to be careful!
How do you make your stroganoff, that sure sounds good!

Well, we finally got a rental car yesterday, it is a Nissan Altima, black. And there is no key to start it, you just put your foot on the brake, push a button, and off you go! When your parked, place foot on brake again, push button and it turns off. There is a little computer thing you have to carry with so it recognizes it is for that car on a key chain, but that is it.
