My youngest sister was born on a Friday the 13th so said that is her lucky number.
Wow, so much money for an eye exam, but I can relate with how high price of glasses are.
I did look at the Urbana, Ohio newspaper and found that the evil one pleaded guilty. I pray that gives Sue a little comfort that he finally admited what he did. I know that beautiful shawl she wraps around her helped a lot.
Hope everyone starts feeling better soon. We had a little rain yesterday and it is trying to give us a little more today. Some places got too much; should be evenly divided. BTW does anyone know of a good solution to fleas in the house?. DH sprayed some boric acid powder, but hey seem to enjoy it. Even the advantage I put on Sami isn't helping her much.
SWEET INTERRUPTIONS # 244
I buy that Home Defense stuff, it's safe to use but it does kill the fleas and all kinds of other creepy crawlers. My mom's cat infested her house last summer, had to set off one of those bomb thingies. Hmmm strange the Advantage is not working, that is what I buy for my dogs and they are good. Boric acid is good for outside to kill the eggs
Thanks Cindy, guess we will be going to Lowe's today to buy some Home Defense. There is a Flleabuster product on the Internet that I know works really well, but it is expensive and it is mostly the boric acid powder. Guess I will give Sami another bath and put more advantage on her as it is almost time for another dose.
very tired today
must the weather ?
here is the info

Waving to my sistahs.
Cindy, Pegi.. Lola take a heartworm pill each month that has flea inhibitor. It's about $15 a month for her. Hambone's more expensive as his weight is 5 times of Lola's. Thank God, I got Hambone's free from a friend.
I groom the cats with a flea comb 3 times a day. Yep, all 8 which live indoors. To spray around the house, there's "Bengal" which not only keep the flea population down, but killed the roaches too!
I've read diameticous earth, food grade, is good for flea treatment and won't harm the cats. But it's impossible for me to find any around here.
((((((((((((Sue)))))))))))
That must have given you some satisfaction. Such a beautiful daughter, Jessica was. Life taken away too soon.
Good thing for you that that cretin pleaded guilty to all charges. That will save you time spent at the courthouse.
He'll be a lifer for sure! Or does Ohio have the death penalty?
Back from the doctor, and he gave me another med to bring my bp down. I'm already taking Toprol and Diovann!! But it was 180/70 this morning and he told me too to continue with my antidepressants, as he thinks it's anxieties that caused my bp to skyrocket!
My blood glucose A1C test wasn't that good neither. Went up to 8.5 from a managed 6.5, it got to be the meter!! So, I got a new meter today, to make sure it returned to 'normal'.
Wish my pancreas is normal.
I got so depress that I didn't do any further blood works...
The doctor bill shot up more than 20% after another hospital bought out the hospital that bought his practice!!! Already from the first buy out, there was a 30% increment.
I wish there's a university/charity hospital around here. This is getting too ridiculously expensive just to maintain my health!!
LK, I laughed at my doctor when he suggested that I get a mammogram and eye test!!! With what $$$$ I asked???
Okay sistahs.. gonna open an affordable glass of wine.
Care to join me?
Jaye hope you can get some relief in the BP dept. thank you for the nice words.
We are happy with the results. I was not supposed to talk to the media but i did , but i thought it would be about the garden and welll.... prosecutor is kinda irritated with me. could hurt the outcome ? it was a sneak attack and i was on glass 2 of wind LOL
pretty tired.
did some therapy today so i m metaly done for the day
good night
hugs
sue
Jaye, you really need to get yourself of disability!
Sue, so glad to hear that he plead guilty!
LK, it's been 2 years we've been fighting this. Hired a lawyer too. 3 times I was denied, their chosen doctors said my diabetes ain't bad enough!!
What?? Cause I'm not on dialysis?? My legs aren't amputated??
Maybe with this extra med I'm on, I may have a chance?
So far, I am very thankful to the Lord that my med needs have been met.
When I look at the meds I'm taking, at least one of them isn't for cancer.
There are some worse off than me that I know of, who don't qualify for disability.
Yet, I know of folks who are healthy, and on welfare :( They know how to cheat the system.
65 can't come soon enough!! Lol!!
Sleep well Sue. I'm not too far behind!
Susan, make me laugh!!
Good night sistahs.. love to all!
Jaye - your laughter (or at least a big smile!!) -
http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=endscreen&v=EUEZkwJulBY&NR=1
Cute hummers!!
(((((((((Sue))))))))))) glad you got the Guilty plea from him.......... now, for the verdict!! So, you had a little wine, and spoke to the media - so?!?!?!
Jaye - here's hoping you get better with these new meds......... !!!
Sunshine day in my neighborhood, fire and water ban on, gardens /grass not liking it though!
Sue, thank goodness he has pleaded guilty, at least you won't have to go through the entire trial..God bless and here is hoping no damage to the case was done in speaking with the media.
jaye, hope the new meds work!
A very good morning sistahs!! ^_^
Thank you for the very encouraging words. I didn't go to bed depress, as that happy pill worked its' magic.
But I stayed up till 2, watching cooking shows. Not good. Ended up raiding the pantry, looking for any morsel of junk food that may have eluded my eyes.
No such luck.
I lost 20 pounds. That's supposed to be good news for any regular diabetics, for that will lower your blood glucose down. With me, it's not so, as it only verify my fear that I'll be on insulin for the rest of my life.
Still sticking to less white rice, more veges, no sodas, less starchy potatoes though.
A lighter me means I can work longer in the garden! So, all is not lost!!
Betty, my sister is enjoying the same health care privileges as you.
She helps me out by sending some prescribed meds (2 out of 11) that I need and some paraphernelia for the application of insulin.
Hmmm.. maybe we should all move to Canada or France?
Back to good news. It's a new day today. Expecting some rains later.
Yayyyy for happy pills!!!!
Breakfast for this day is oatmeal cookies and non-fat milk. So grinning here.. yep.. taking the lazy Saturday route!
Have a wonderful, wonderful day, sistahs!! HUGGGGS

Glad to hear the happy pills are working Jaye! Praying the new meds for your sugar will work also!
Thanks LK. There is no new med for the diabetes, still Humalog, insulin before food, and Lantus insulin shots 2 times a day.
The only new med that's given is another BP med! So that makes 3 bp med.
I've never, never had this bp problem in Louisiana. Doctor also advised me to at all times, have some nitro with me. Now that's scary!
Got to be the issues that's still eating at me stemming from Kel's parents.
As hard as I try to release everything to God, it's not easy when I'm living with their enabler. So, I'll take more happy pills, and won't let them kill me silently!! I must love Kel more than I love myself eh?
Question for my sistahs. If I were to make my MIL disappear, who'd be my alibi??
Don't worry sistahs. She's not worth it. I'll fight with prayers, for now.
Jaye, high blood pressure and stress, makes that ticker of yours work harder than it should, it is soooo important to keep your BP as low as possible! Take those happy pills, and we will all pray for you too!
LK, thank you so much!! You're absolutely right.
I am glad that Kel was with me when the doctor explained the gravity of my bp. Whether he'd try to make things tolerable, left to be seen.
The old me would have just throw up my hands and walk away from this madness... not at the expense of my sanity.
The new me, waits on the Lord.
Think I'll celebrate the loss of 20 pounds. Gonna make an appt. with Aunt Clairol and Granma Maybelline!!!!
Just make sure it is not purple this time! If it is, we want pictures!!! LOL!
And congrats on the weight loss!
Me, me....... I'll be your alibi, Jaye!!!! LOL
If your hair turns pink, I want pictures!!!!
20 lbs is good for your knees, Jaye! As they say, 5 lbs on the frame = 50 lbs on the knees!
(((((Sue)))))) How are you today, after the "high" of the plea? We're "here" for ya, sistah!!
Morning Sue, your up early! Sorry about your gardens, everyone is suffering from the heat or too much rain!
Waving HI to you all !!!
MIL and BIL will arrive today, and need to keep them entertained... so I'm going to stay off the computer for a few days.
Miss me, but no so much you call out the troops... ok?
Ya'll have a good week, k?
Enjoy your visit Bj!
Hmmm.. LK, you can't let me forget about that eggplant hair period? Lolol!! Don't worry sistah, didn't pick up anything on sale, no matter how cheap.
How hot is it there now LK?
No way I'll do P, Susan!!! In fact, there was this gal at church with P highlights, and I thought I'd puke right in front of her. Good Lord shut my mouth!
Sue, sorry to read about your garden. Hope some survive.
Hello sistahs.
One glorious Sunday. Sermon was good, and it's also good that besides Kel's ex' daughter attending our church, her mum too is now a member!!
Were we uncomfortable? Not at all. In fact, we showed our Christian love by welcoming them to the right church!! Again, I'm glad that I didn't say anything about MIL to others in church!
BJ, enjoy your company. Don't worry, we can't afford to hire the cavalry, but we'll miss you.
It is 94 this afternoon Jaye, with 47% humidity.
Aww, that is one darling picture of Dylan! Babies are so much fun to be around.
It wasn't as hot today as yesterday, but the humidity was around 49% and we just aren't used to that. A nice cool breeze coming in the window and I better go out and water some plants. My veggies aren't doing good at all. Guess I lost my touch with growing tomatoes.
lol Jaye - hadda say that P word though, y'know!!
Sue - the twins look so funny/happy with the huggy quilt!!!!!!!!!!! Glad you're all enjoying it!
Morning everyone!
Sue, love the picture of the twins!
We had rain last night, then we lost power from 8 to midnight! The rain was so welcome here!
Morning everyone! Coffee is ready!
Sue I just love the picture of the children with the shawl. It is great to know it is being used!!! God bless.
I'm giving out smiles today!!!! ^_^ ^_^ ^_^
Pictures of Dylan and surprise, surprise, surprise... Austin and Savannah ^_^ ... definitely marking a great Monday.
Dylan's so cute, just like grandma! You're lucky I'm not there, if not Heather might have to try to pull me apart from him!!
Aww, those twins' winning smiles say it all. They love the shawl too!!!
Sue, 2014 can't come soon enough! By then, maybe they'd be more chatty with us?
Barb, you must be anxious to get your surgery done with!
It was a wonderful Sunday for me! Rest and more rest while Kel took over the pc!
Watched a marathon of "Criminal Minds" and I'm surprised at how good that show is. Think one sistah is infatuated with Sherman Moore.. was it you Cindy.. maybe it's Synda?
Pegi, it will be back to high heat plus humidity for us today. Tomatoes don't care for heat, so don't blame yourself. My GF picked hers just in time before the high 90s.
Oops.. got to go to the post office! Driver just staring at me!! Lolol.. will be right back!
Good day SIstahs all!
Omg, i am just moved to tears, just love seeing the twins wrapped with love...
Sue so very glad the creaps plead guilty, now hope they all get whats deserved...yep tilting the wine glass too!!!
Sistah Jaye, so doing the happy dance on your weight loss, hands flying to my hips!!! Think ya gave it all to me...lol i gained almost 15 lbs!!! Lol just tellingyou cause you think im balemic or something! Believe me my body sure is giving me the what fore over it...hey, thankyou for the call the other day, was fantastic to hear your voice!!
Waiving hi Pegi!!
Bj...sure hope your visit with the il's goes well...
Omg, linda kay,so love those pics of baby Dylan...big smiles.
Waiving hello Thunder!! Thinking about you girl...sure hope you toes are healed up!
Woohooo, for 2014...lol saw the excitement,Sue.
Well we went to do a measurement in JHC on friday...one ive cleaned, 86th floor...we arrived just in time to witness the sunsetting.
The last pic is where i sat to view such magnificence!! I know thats spelledwrong! And dh and & buddy are building another cabinet just like that for heating/ac on other side!
Oh,gotta roll.have a great cool day.
Hey Judy, aren't you afraid of heights? Looking out the window is beautiful, but I think if I were there in person, I would have to be on the other side of the room to look out!
Ahhh Judy, I've so many photo's fromt he same building when we visited twice..want to go back..how long a drive??? my car almost knows its way...lol
Beautiful shots Judy. I too would need to be on the other side of the room. I would be so very dizzy.
Dylan is so adorable. Good for him - rolling over so soon. Wonder if he will walk as fast?? Then the fun will begin.
I must have missed something - what happened to Thunder's toes????
Lol LindaKay...not afraid of heights as long as im enclosed environment.
Yep Betty come on over!! Me thinks your new ride needs to get programed...its only 12.5 hour rideHehe.
We hossted a big volleyball tourny...this is the famous Oak Street beach...and that is Lake shore drive...it runs through the entire City.
Thunder fell, and got her feet twisted up in a ladder I think it was, and broker her toes, twister her ankle too.
Hey Judy!!! Didn't your ears feel the pressure, in the elevator, going that high? 86th floor!! The view must be fantastic.
I'm thinking safety. Set me on lower grounds. In case of emergency, it will be faster to get out of the building! Lolol!!
And now Thunder's without a pc. Poor sistah. Hope she's able to reconnect with us. She'd have more time for more quilting. That girl keeps her hands busy all the time.
Betty, you'd be logging more miles than our vehicles with your cross country trips!!
OMG - when did this happen to Thunder? Have you heard if she is okay?
Off to finish up some laundry....
Been a few weeks Barb.
