Coffee Break # 82

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Best of luck, Karen.

My MIL got here yesterday. Been running around all day filling her gazillion prescriptions.

central, NJ(Zone 6b)

LOL another reason for us NOT to do residential

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

best wishes to dad.. Karen.. hope he gets the best of care

central, NJ(Zone 6b)

So Victor did they finally get everything levelled out with your mil?

Karen, glad to hear he has settled in, know you are making a wise decision

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

For the lost part, Jen. They THINK the cause of the chronic diarrhea was a funky bacteria in her GI tract they found during the scope. She is still on antibiotics for it - heavy duty vancomycin. She still is having the runs, though better.

The clot at the graft site was fixed by ballooning.

She looks like a concentration camp victim - skin and bones.

Questa, NM(Zone 5b)

Victor, that's scary about your MIL.

I feel like such a dummie! I have not been around here enough to notice the RU at Celeste's and Karen's this coming weekend! I'm sorry!

Oh, what I would give to go! You guys are going to have so much FUN!!! Well, one of the reasons I'm having this yard sale is to raise funds for a new car. I don't trust mine to go more than 30 miles away, although it has been doing well. It's been years since I took it on a real drive - more than 2 hrs. I'd love to visit Maine and Celeste! I hope you all take lots of pictures!

Louise, I love your description of your yard while sitting enjoying the evening. It sounds beautiful.

South China, ME(Zone 5a)

Hee hee hee!!
Harper, im having a BBQ with my family here on Sat. ....no RU until 2015 so you have plenty of time to get a new car. ^_^

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

going to need a party bus.. I can pick up a bunch of people going there!!!

Pepperell, MA(Zone 6a)

karen hope you dad adjusts well to the nursing home - hard decision for sure.

is there a day scheduled yet in 2015 celeste :)

Thomaston, CT

Karen, I'm sure you made the best decision for your Dad.....sometimes we want to do more than we can.....he's in a safe, caring facility.....Victor, hoping your MIL will be doing better....taking my Mom to the 'wound center' next week...she has a sore not healing well....have already told her she's moving in with my by Nov., but she's reluctant....

central, NJ(Zone 6b)

Yes Celeste what day? have to make sure Bill isn't moving any rocks that day

(Ronnie), PA(Zone 6b)

Victor I was wondering how much weight you MIL has lost, sad...I hope she gets better soon.

Woke up this morning to the smell of dog poop wafting up the steps to the bedroom...Winston had quite a mess in his crate...poop was everywhere, in, under, over, out, you name it. Not sure when it happened but he was covered and it was caked on...what a mess...all before 6:30. Had to give him a bath in my PJs on the patio, then scrub down the crate before the girls came. GREAT way to start the day!! Needless to say I had no appetite for my cereal or tea for a few hours.

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

yuck Ronnie.. sorry to hear it

Thomaston, CT

Oh, poor Winston.....sick puppy! Oh, and poor you, too, Ronnie....not a job for the faint-hearted!

(Ronnie), PA(Zone 6b)

Thanks, he definitly has a intestinal issue, severe diarrhea a couple if times today. I called the vet and he said to restrict him to ice the rest of the day so he won't dehydrate and give him boiled ground beef and all bran all day tomorrow. We will see how he is on Thursday. He didn't get into anything as far as I know. Guess I'm sleeping on the couch tonight!

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

pumpkin always helps too.. but make sure you get it out of the canned veggie section not the baking.. don't want all the sugar & spice in there for pie.. Jily liked it.. Lily didn't.. but it does help

(Ronnie), PA(Zone 6b)

Thanks Allison, I have some in the closet.

I'm sick of watering...

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Me too.

Southwest , NH(Zone 5b)

Oh, Ronnie, that is awful....hope Winston has turned the corner!

Questa, NM(Zone 5b)

Oh Ronnie! Ugh! Sending doggy hugs... from a distance.

Phew! I'm glad I'm not missing Celeste's RU. : )

Sorry I'm missing Karen's! Hope you have great weather Karen!

Halifax, MA(Zone 6a)

Thanks for all the good luck wishes, well wishes, etc. for Dad, everyone. I'm sure things will be fine for him. We will be bringing him home for a few hours tomorrow for a BBQ at our house. Looking forward to having him here.

Victor, so sorry about your MIL. I hope things improve for her.

Oh, man, Ronnie, how awful. Sounds like it was a huge mess. I feel for you.

Karen

Halifax, MA(Zone 6a)

Oops, cross posted, Harper. Thanks. I hope we have good weather, too. I sure wish you were coming. I'm hoping for good weather for our BBQ tomorrow, too. Today was really nice.

Jen, glad you don't do residential, too!

Oh, Ronnie, hope he's feeling better.

Karen, pleased that dad is feeling much better about being where he is. Hugs

RD, hoping for good healing for your mom's sore and her acceptance of the upcoming move.
That hail was big.

My son in Annapolis finally got power back Sunday afternoon after being w/o since Friday evening. Those kids that were killed by a tree while camping is only about 20 miles from me. It is a great camping spot. So sad.

Went to the creation museum today in Kentucky. Very well done and the displays and animatronics were first-rate. The gardens were to die for. Of course I didn't have my iPad to take pics. Aacckk!! But then I only would have made your necks sore looking at them. Heehee. We are in an AmericInn tonight in Iowa City. Very nice- indoor pool, breakfast and $55.00. It would have been $83 but I stopped at a rest area and got one of those coupon booklets. Very happy. Not camping in this heat. ICK!!!

Happy Fourth everyone!! Freedom isn't free so don't forget to give thanks today to those who served.
This is my brother Colonel E.J. Boudreau, now retired, he entered the service in 1968 a month after his 18th B-Day. He spent his 19th, 20th & 21st birthday in Nam, he retired in 2003.
The old picture is him, top row, far right in Viet Nam 1969.

I agree Celeste our "freedom" is far from free. I thank them all but a special one for my dad and now my nephew-in law.

Quiet clean free night for Winston, thankfully. We lost one of our new chicks through the night, not sure why, she didn't look good yesterday. I hate the thoughts of having to tell Sophie, it was the one she picked. She's so emotional :( still talks about how much she misses Atticus.

South China, ME(Zone 5a)

Oh Dear Ronnie, im sorry....I have a DGD like that too. Oryanna remembers everything and is very sensitive, it's so hard on the little ones. :(

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

sorry Ronnie.. always hard on the kids

:(

Southwest , NH(Zone 5b)

Impressive brother, Celeste! Thanks to him and all others serving for our benefit!

Marilyn, sending good thoughts for your Mom's healing and acceptance. Not easy for her or for you. Hugs!

Ronnie, glad to hear about Winston, but sad for Sophie. When it comes to animals, she's just like me.

Happy Fourth everyone! We have a house full for the next week
with 3 dogs and two little ones and DSD. What fun!

Jan, glad to hear you are on the road and having fun. Safe trip! Will enjoy following your adventure!

Southwest , NH(Zone 5b)

Allison dear, how are you managing? Thinking of you!

Thomaston, CT

Happy Fourth! Awesome medals on your brother, Pixie! Glad Winston's better, Ronnie.....sorry for the chick...my GD Anni is the sensitive one...still talks about her Grampy in heaven.....Louise, sounds like a fun time for you...enjoy! Jan, can't believe you're in Iowa already....have a safe trip!

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

jen all the rogue books by marcinko are great - i met a seal guy who was a motivation speaker - went up to afterward and asked if he know marcinko - he just smiled and said they had been back against back each shotting bad guys to get out of a hot spot.
