That's IT! I'm deleting it from my ipad.
Coffee Break # 82
Must be a NYC icab!
Sorry to hear that Allison, seems like your boss is a little heartless. Maybe he needs a little fall in the office!
Guess it didn't work, huh, DB
Speaking of roofs, Jeff and DS are finishing the half of the garage roof that they were working on this morning. Tuesday they tore it off and put on the paper. Jeff just can't get enough of those roofs.
Yesterday we went to Cannon Beach because it was supposed to be the warmest day at the beach 72 predicted. However, about 10 miles from the coast we hit cloud cover, which we thought would burn off. We were wrong. It was a chilly day, but quite fun. They walked down the beach to Haystack Rock. If you ever saw Goonies it is the big rock that protrudes from the ocean. It was low tide so they could walk out to it and look at the interesting tidal pools with lots of critters.
Saturday, Jeff and son are going hiking. Sunday we will meet with a former student for lunch. She is a breast cancer survivor at the age of 31. She also is having a book published that will come out next year. I am looking forward to reading it. She had met a Somali family on the MAX train in Portland and befriended them. Her stories are very interesting. she compiled them and they are being published as The Invisible Girls.
Victor GMTA.. the place is full of surveillance cameras too
normally I have to drive a lot all day.. since the light duty they are allowing me to work light duty.. even though there most likely won't be anything to do but answer the phone
In the ladies room??
neat! checking the map, you're way north, my sis lives a lot farther south, they were at the beach yesterday too
Saudi Arabia is sending women (two) to the Olympics this year for the first time. However, they must dress 'appropriately'. One will compete in judo and the other in the 800m run. This should be interesting. Imagine the sponsorship possibilities! ;)
I would hope the restrooms were clear of that non sense .. LOL
Daleted and reinstalled per advice of developer, so here goes one more try.....this is what is happening here today....
Not happening, Louise!
Or maybe just not much is happening?? ^_^
too hot here.
Nice breeze picking blueberries today.....best part was seeing my grandkids.....My son's FIL said some pickers complained a bear was in the fields the other day helping himself to the berries....Carl took the cart out & sure enough, there he was.....the cart scared him away.....

See those US Olympic uniforms? Hideous and made in China!
Real nice
I'm all for imposing tariffs on the companies that import their stuff from overseas
I 2nd that!!!
Wheeeee, I'm using my new laptop, but it is really different from my old one, so I will have to learn how to use it a bit.
Congrats, Louise! What brand?

Jan, I'm glad it wasn't worse. Changing a diet can be tough, though. What does your DS have to give up? I'm assuming it would be high cholesterol foods, or high fat foods in general.
Thanks for the good thoughts, Rosemary.
Celeste, I know what you mean. My gardens have been a mess, too. This past couple of weeks I've been off, and I'm making some good headway. I've really gotten a lot done, in spite of the heat and other things I've been needing to do, too. I wish I could take the rest of the month off, or at least another week. Would be so nice if I could. There are just so many more beds needing to be done.
So nice to hear that Luci got her cast of, Ronnie. Now she can enjoy her summer!
Allison, how awful! I would be so upset. Yeah, we all need to win the lotto, don't we.
Louise, sorry you're having so much trouble with that icab. Sounds like a real pain. It would frustrate me for sure. I had itunes on my computer for a bit. I hated it. Was really slow. I prefer Windows Media Player for downloading tunes.
Oh, Jan, I would love to visit that beach someday. I saw Goonies. Loved that movie.
Karen
I agree on the uniforms...bad both ways!
Here's a good thing that happened. DH's company is moving so this week I got to go "shopping" in their junk pile. All the engineers are taking thrown out stuff to auction on ebay. I found stainless steel carts with beautiful side panels, and get this...the handles are perfect chrome towel bars! We can finish our newest bathroom. Ho Hum: I also got a large fiberglass cart for potting plants. But the towel bars more than paid for DS's quad 4 processer laptop for college.
Great shopping, Rosemary!!
Ixnay on the uniforms!!! That saddened me to no end.
Karen, I don't know the details of what he is allowed, but I am pretty sure it will be a total change since his diet is terrible.
Great score, Rosemary!
Victor, this is almost the same as the one I used to death. It is an HP Premier Pavilion. My other was an 11 Inch, and this one is a 15.5 inch. I like them small and light, but this is one is very light, with a 7 hr. battery and mucho memory. It is taking a bit of orienting myself to Windows 7 and the changes that HP has made since 2006. I'm catching on pretty fast though. I will see if I can upload a photo, but it won't be a recent one, because they are all on my ipad. Practice, practice, practice. The one thing I really miss is the mouse scroll at the bottom with the right and left click button. No biggy...just something to get used to. Change is good for us....keeps us flexible. Right? :)
These are among the many DLs blooming beautifully now:
Woohoo! I did it! I'm BAaaaack, Baby! LOL
