Pegi, so sorry to read about Molly. She's romping away up there, but she won't try to escape this time, and St Peter is keeping a watchful eye over her. Moreover it's pet paradise, what more can she asked for?
I truly believe we will be united with our beloved pets. My pastor will fuss at me for saying that, as animals don't have souls, he said. But then, with God, everything is possible, right?
Nami will not be lost in Malaysia. English is widely spoken there (having been once a 'subject' of Great Britain) and there are Japanese living in Kuala Lumpur (the capital).
Coffee is ready. My back hurts too much for anything fancy, so if you all don't mind store bought doughnuts?
Blooms for this blessed Sunday.
SWEET INTERRUPTIONS #243
Morning everyone... I'm here.
Thanks for the new room and coffee Jaye!
Hope you get lots of rest and get that back feeling better!
Morning Bj!
Morning BJ. Are you ready for Betty's?
Bet you already have your suitcase all packed!
Thanks LK. As long as I have some painkillers, I can move around.
An irony there.. doctor said I need to do stretching exercises.. but I need painkillers to do that!!
LOL... Jaye... I'm packed... but looking at the weather forcast for Betty's area... I'm rethinking all of it. Sandals, Shorts and sleeveless tops aren't going to cut it for this Texas gal. High in the mid 70's ... lows in the 50's sounds a whole lot like our Winter here. Best throw in some long johns, and a hoodie... huh?
Dang... hope you get rid of that pain... thought you found the secret with the foot massage thingie.
The foot massager help my feet tremendously.
Now I need to find an affordable Shiatsu massager for the back. You know the chair kind.
Well BJ, no fear of mosquitoes if you expect some cold at Betty's!
ETA:
The nerves in my feet are damaged, a condition called "diabetic neuropathy" hence causing pain in walking. Doctor prescribed Lyrica. The effectiveness has worn away after so many years of usage.
Thank God, Synda thought of the Shiatsu foot massager. I now am able to drive and walk without a cane.
So, for any of you with that similar issues with your feet, try getting a foot massager. That deep kneading action works for me.

BJ, might not need the long johns, but a hoodie (or 2) would be a good idea. Might just throw in a couple sweat shirts too for good measure. Weather sounds nice compared to all the heat Texas is getting.
Jaye, my feet don't hurt when I walk, but getting used to the numbness and feeling like I'm walking on sand. I do take a cane with me when we I do a lot of walking around mostly for balance purposes. I just don't want to take a tumble and break something. I do get a burning feeling, but not that often. Just hope it doesn't get any worse. My mother used to say a shopping cart was like a walker for her and now I understand what she meant.
Pegi, that numbness will never go away and your mother's right. Kel get glaring looks from WM customers when they see me pushing the cart, instead of him! Lol!!
me be back 2morrow to tired right now ^_^
Morning everyone!
LK, that is such a pretty plant. Love that variegated leaves. Hibiscus will do well for you as they're heat loving plants.
Marion, hope you're not too badly affected by Debbie's rains. I got the ark fixed if you need it!
Waffles for breakfast, if you don't mind, sistahs? Coffee is ready.
Was in bed waaay too early. I can see the return of a disruptive sleep pattern!
Have a wonderful Monday, sistahs.
I wish the hibiscus liked it here! I try every year, and very few make it till the next year?
Thanks for the breakfast Jaye, hope you get a nap in today?
I need prayers for my neighbor please? My neighbor Josie is a single Mom, and has a daughter that is 15. Her daughter has been running away since she was 11, and she found out the other day, that she has been running with a know local gang, and has been sleeping with 30+ year old males, and is on drugs. Josie also found out that her daughter has some pretty nasty diseases, that come from the mens she is sleeping with. When they found her last week, she was i a know crack house that harbors a lot of run way girls, and makes them do sexual favors for the drugs they shove down their throats. It is not a good situation, and they need a lot of help!
What a sad state for the poor neighbour. Said a prayer for that lost girl that there will be an intervention for her soon. May the Lord sends people to help her mum with Josie.
Drug addicts have this one thought only, and that is to feed their addiction. 99% have to be forcibly removed from that environment and one good thing about Josie, is her age. She can still be legally committed to a drug substance program.
I pray that the local authorities will decide to get on their behind and lend help to Josie's mum and the rest of the girls there.
The bad thing about removing one crack house, they are like roaches, another will pop up.
I blame this on the law. Pushers, drug dealers and drug 'manufacturers' are given slaps on wrists instead of harsher jail time!
I agree, the law and punishment need to be stiffer, and enforced!
Good Morning Ladies,
I am burned out big time!!! Saturday we rode over 300 miles, rode up to a high altitude and my ears plugged up big time and are still plugged up. Sounds like everybody it talking in a tunnel. I hate this feeling. Have tried and tried to get them to unplugged but just make myself dizzy, lol. Got home about 9 pm had to get up at 4 am except I woke up at 2:20 and could not go back to sleep ugh! Had a good visit with my brother, then stopped at Golden Corral for dinner on the way home. HOLY COW!!!!! That place was BUSY!!!!! was not really impressed with buffet at all, and the piece of steak mom got was very small maybe 5 bites at the most, false advertisement for sure!!! Don't think I will ever go back there again.
When I got to my mom's early yesterday and got out of my car the aroma from my Lilies was strong!!! Below are some pics of my flowers. The lilies aren't as tall as they were last year so I do believe I need to dig up and transplant. "Trumputor" has multiplied several times as you can see. "Tomato Soup" Coneflower, "Black Eyed Susan" Rudbeckia" and "Pink Octopus"
Taylor is doing good, sore throat gone she is eating everything in sight, poor baby nearly starved.
Must get busy, things to do....................Have a Great Day!!!
Ark might be needed!
Cindy, those are beautiful lilies!
Hang on tight Marion, looks like there is more rain on the way!
That is what I hear LK......please ready the ark who ever has it. LOL
Cindy, next time, you ask them for more portions at Golden Corral. Kel did that for me :D
I regret not getting some Tomato Soup Echie. They're pretty.
Those oriental lilies can put out some fragrance.
Okay Marion, I'm sending you the ark piece by piece. Hope you have enough help to assemble them!
Doing some world travelling in my arm chair here. Been to Switzerland, Italy, Mexico and now attempting kayaking in Michigan!!! Thanks to PBS!
Cindy - those are beautiful flowers!!! hmmmm are you SURE those aren't Brown Eyed Susans? lol
Jaye - where to next? Michigan's not far from Canada........ east of the prairies though........
City just came by to say we'd need to jack the trailer up every few years. The document they gave us said " If your home is on a firm ground with not a lot of standing water when it rains, you mos likely won't have to do this often. Conversely, if you live in a moist area, you might be re-levelling your home more often, every 2-4 years."
I maintain that, seeing as how the City had to prop up the hillside just north of us - one trailer lot away, that the ground IS slipping and causing the problems. They say it takes time for the damage to show in a home. Well, Calgary had flooding in 2005, and that's why the hillside was slipping and the City propped it up in 2007.
So, they're going to do more research, and get back to me. They've already realize that I'm not going to lay quietly and let the property ruin our home. Not my style. I told them I'm not "picking on" the City because we're unemployed, only want what's fair.
Who is responsible for jacking up the trailer Susan? I would imagine the city is and in that case they have been negligent.
I'm hoping it is the City's responsibility. They're trying to put it off on us, but I'm not backing down.
Susan, you've been saying that the walls of your trailer were slowly separating from the ceiling.
The trailer's not level anymore on acct. of the shifting foundation?
If that's the case, then I think the city should be held accountable.
We think it's that, but it depends on the City agreeing........
They brought a printout from the web (not their site, an Ezine Article from googling it. As if they didn't know anything about trailers....... they OWN a trailer park, the least their maintenance can do is know something about them.......
The printout says "IF your home is on level ground........" etc. I still maintain it's NOT level anymore.
Lk the only thing i may suggest is the parents need to take her and throw away the key and let no one inside her room nor let her out. Bar the windows too . Make it a prison for her. She will soon realize what she is doing. She may need to be given a phych evaluation ? maybe bipolor or schizo ? may be a mental issue going on also mixed with drugs is insane.
Just my two cents. its a hard battle . trust me i have been there and back with my oldest. For me it didn't end well. :(
may God be with them in there time of need. I will send prayers to them.
I didn't want to mention it, Sue, because it's so "new" for you, but you're so right that you can give valued advice. So sad when "kids go wrong" and they don't see it for themselves and are often 'too far gone' to listen to sage advice. They think it's interference when it's Tough Love with emphasis on Love. If a parent didn't love the child, they wouldn't bother. It's not because a parent has a Control issue........... not at all. btdt.......
Evening everyone,
Judy just called from my side of the border..I'm dancing with excitement..I did come to bed early, been a long day , had just fallen asleep when the call came in, now I'll never sleep tonight, I'm just beyond excited..she asked that I post so you know she and Steve are in Niagara Falls Canada and will spend tonight and tomorrow night..just on their way for supper and walk along the falls, plan on lots of sightseeing ttomorrow in the falls then will head my way Wednesday..can you believe she is so close..thank goodness I have to be at iwork tomorrow otherwise I'd get dressed and head to the falls.. You know I would in a sec..I could crash in on she and Steve..lol but no can do..
This is just too exciting
She has been seeing a shrink on and off for a few months, as she is also suicidal, she has been cutting herself. Lots of issues there!
Betty - good idea that you DO have to go to work tomorrow...... I can see that you'd head over to the Falls..... lol
LK - is she on any kind of meds?
I don't know if she is or not.
I'm no Dr, but it sounds as though she should be - anyone suicidal is depressed, I would think............
Good morning sistahs!
Betty, no wonder she didn't answer the house phone!! I tried calling Sunday and Monday and they were already gone!
Lucky them to be able to enjoy a long spell with you.
Cutting herself??? LK, she certainly needs to be institutionalized! Wonder why her doctor didn't do that.
It's a beautiful, cool and windy day this morning. This won't last for long as we'll be hitting the 90s soon.
I sure don't want your heat, LK. Along with heat, be careful of that nasty side effect, headaches.
There's this acupressure trick that one can do to relieve headache.
This site says to find the pressure point between the thumb and index finger on both hands.

Coffee, juice and milk on the breakfast bar. Come and get your BLT sandwiches!! Why not a hearty sandwich for breakfast?
Morning Jaye! Thanks for breakfast.
yummmmmm looks SO good Jaye - unfortunately I just had my heart-healthy Cheerios!
I'm doing ok with Myfitnesspal.com! Keeping in the caloric area, and getting more exercise!! Who knows - by 2016 I may be down to my ideal weight ROFL
I can't believe I'm not using the a/c today!! Yayyy!
Not in the 90s, but comfortable low 80s. Definitely an unexpected gift.
Susan, soon you'll be svelte like Tallulah Bankhead!
antideprssants don't usually work on kids that young. It can usually lead to more suicidal thoughts.
I feel for the girl. Not fun being so out of control and not able to control it ? or care ? so hard to understand these things. When a mind goes irrational and leads them to do things we just can't understand.
will have the young girl in my thoughts . The parents too.
Betty i m sooooooo jealous .... :( wish i was going too.
