Omg what a great day to go for X-rays, walked right in and within 10 minutes was on my way home..ok, had to stop and pick up 2 carpet rose plants for near the pond, now let's home the 2,000 roses they say will produce during summer month isn't a fib..likely will take a few years to produce but worth checking out.

Walked the gardens this morning, sooo much greenery, spring shrubs and flowers in bloom shortly to be done, they did not listen to me , wanted them in bloom late June!

Mary, slower to the time we'll have more specifics..had hoped when leaving Memphis heading your way that we might veer closer to Baton Rouge so that we could visit..and of course, girls are anxious to meet you but not have as much as I you..

Susan, we will have to do a trial run as I walk through the yard to see if we can capture all the areas..

Well took the meds, see how I adjust to them, says NO driving, only 1/2 bottle so won't be taking it for too long. I'll see through the day if it tires or muffles this brain of mine..let's hope cough is no longer.

Now to get gardening clothes on and play outside until thunderstorms roll in..

Yes am home, sun came out, actually sitting watching butterflies and birdies..so nice!

The sun's out here...... not too warm, but I'll take it!! After the rain last night, it's a real pleasure to see the sun!!!! (btw - for those that don't know, it's that big yellow ball in the sky...........I just found that out myself lol)

It's another beautiful but hot and humid day here. Still have laundry and dishes to do but I'm tinking I might do some straightening up in the air-conditioned bedroom. Or amybe I'll take a nap.

Dinner for the dogs is cooking. I've been ordering things to pick up when I'm in Ca.; trying to remember that I can't spend the same money two or three times.

Dylan is adorable. I miss having babies in my life.

I'm praising narcotics this mornimg..did not cough once!! How on earth can they work to fast? Now why didn't I have this med weeks ago?

Kyle dropped in last night at 8:30 and didn't leave until 10..was tempted to say I was too tired for company but didn't have the heart to do so seeing as he drove his bike just to say hi to grandma!

Betty, Is your doctor one of those controlling types who's afraid you'll become hooked if he does something that will work? Whatever. I'm glad you had some relief from that cough - finally.

I ended up sleeping yesterday afternoon, and last night. Woke up at 5:30 this morning, finally rested. The pain in my shoulder was just draining me yesterday. I finally used a restraint which my doctor had recommended against. But his reason was that the muscles atrophy so fast if it's used contrantly. I just used it for a few hours and it was a huge relief not to keepmoving in a way that hurt. I took it off to sleep and slept fine.

I am finally going to meet a DG friend in person. When I go to LA a wpman I've written to (and sent glass to) will be able to come in for dinner on Friday night. We think. She is quite busy but thinks it will work.

Today @ noon I go for my 2nd interview with an Oil & Gas company for a position as a Project Administrator! Get to meet "the boss". I've done a lot of research on the company, and prayed as hard as I can for the position to be mine........

Off to the dentist for Step 1 of some major dental work . Stomache is doing flipflops.

I am in a major doldrum and just not pleasant company so I have been hiding. I am walking a bit better - had to get into the Tang last night because we had hail and it needed to be moved under cover.. Would have given you all quite the chuckle watching me hobble around. On top of everything else I have a sick cat. Depending on what the dentist says today I will try and get Streak into the vet tomorrow. My goodness it doesn't rain but it pours.

Just wondering if hibiscus is poisonous to cats. Found Streak noshing on my Hibiscus plants that I had dragged outside from their inside cat protection but the the temp dropped and I had to drag them in late at night and didn't protect them. They are now outside. He just ate 2 Temptation treats and they are staying down so far but he is hiding from us. This is an in your face talky cat so I am still concerned,

Betty I take Hycodone and it really works well for me. I have this nasty cough that won't stop sometimes ... I think Christi does too. Mind you I don't take it every day but is a sure fire answer when my coughing is bad.

Well I'm pleased as punch with Hycodan, haven't coughed since yesterday when I purchased the meds. Just cannot use for any amount of time due to kidneys..pharmacist said because blood pressure under control that it will not be a problem.

Dianne, sorry you are overwhelmed, takes so much energy just to get through the days, then add your injuries, omg difficult days for sure..always here should you need someone.

lordy almost falling asleep at the keyboard!

I took a big step with Tony this morning. Told him he could share "boss" duties with me. Reminded him to ask me for help when he could use an extra hand and that he can invite me to work with him. I reserve the right to say no but with so much to doI don't want him to feel that he can only ask for help if he "needs" it. I've known so many men who think their function in life is to criticize women (especially me) that I have kind of jealously guarded my role with Tony as boss. We have never fought. I realized early on that he hates yelling and fighting as much as I do and we both work at just not going there. We also took time to admire some of the work we have done. We also walked around and talked about work that will need to be done "someday" when we are ready. And some work that will be more fun than some of the other work that needs to be done.

The laundry is done (for the mmoment) and so are the dishes. The bed in the van is finished and I'm stacking quilts and other supplies. I plan to leave Monday. I don't need to be in LA until Friday morning. I'll probably get there Thursady night. It should be a fairly relaxed trip (I cross my fingers as I say that).

I must get back to work on the curtains for my craft shelves. I found all the stuff for the rods and Tony will put them up in the morniing. We work so well together it's kind of scarey.

I just want to let everyone know that I have a court date! This could be a prelim but it could also turn into a final hearing, July 20th at 1:30pm. Hopefully he won't do anything crazy and I won't have to have him admitted before then. hahahaaaaaa!!!!

Crissy, now that things are going as they are it will be great having it all behind you..now is this hearing decide how much he will get if anything? has he been behaving, not giving you problems at home? Once you are on your own, would you consider selling and moving to something smaller or closer to town?

Katie, can't imagine having that much work ahead of me..

When I moved to my present house it was a complete disaster, got it cheap but sure was a fix it upper..since purchasing every extra penny has gone into it..I've learn to drywall, lay floors, tile etc. Think if I'd have taken on the house at this age vs. 7 years ago I'd have found it too overwhelming.. then add on that you are not well?? quite the lady to get through it Katie.
