Best/Worse/What did I learn today? chat with friends!

If you remember correctly a few weeks ago my insurance company stated that policy would be trippled due to sugar being high, then I went to the doctors and he said no problem, gave me blood tests results from last 3 blood tests and told me to go see my insurance and give it to them, boy was he mad!!! My agent said she would sent the results to the carrier..carrier came back and said they wouldn't touch me unless I paid tripple AND got things under control..because I'm a good client my agent asked that their finding be send to my doctor...

WELL, my doctor's office said the doctor wants to see me, not life threatening I guess the finding because he's so overbooked that I can't get in until the 11th..says he does have to see me though and if there is a cancellation they will fit me in..
wonder what is up??

Well y'all, I have some sad news, me and Dave are divorcing. He doesn't want to be married anymore and has gotten very very greedy and doesn't like or respect me and I'm not going to stay with someone like that. I just can't do it. I'm doing fine, he's been served and reacted surprised but relieved, I'm broke right now but it will be fine.

OMG Crissy, just don't know what to say, is that why you've been so quiet of late??? Drats and more Drats..
Sending big hug your way. Life is wayyyy to short to live an unhappy life..thankfully you are young, full of life and will find peace with what you've decided on. Is he still living in the house or has he moved out?

Betty he's still living with me, we get along fine, he just wants out at my expense and I'm trying to stop that. Yes, that's why I've been quiet, just trying to get my ducks in a row. Sounds like you just have the nasties and you have to be careful what you take because of your bp medicine.

Well it's not me who wants the divorce but both parties have to want to be together for it to work, he doesn't want to be with me so that's fine, there are other, better, fish in the sea and I'll catch one of them!

Crissy, heart goes out to you because it's not easy..hard trying to make it work is right when one has already made up their mind that regardless of trying it will not work. Sure hope you can make the trip, I'll hug you beyond belief!!
Drove to do an errand at lunch and just as was pulling into the parking lot they were talking of all things "divorce insurance" imagine..that likely will be a company who won't be in business for any length of time..can't believe that people would go into a marriage with such a policy, bad enough a pre-nup

I'm sorry to hear about your marriage not working out Crissy. I know I couldn't live with someone who didn't want to be with me. Don't let him take you far anything. Seems to me you have been supporting him long enough!!!!

I'm with Barb Crissy..now that he has been served do you not think it would be better that he leave...would he be the kind that you will come home to find all gone??? think I'd tell him he has till Saturday and out regardless if he has a place or not AND be waiting at the door with a locksmith..that way if he breaks in then he gets in big trouble..house is JUST in your name is it not?

Anyway, those of you that know my brother Shoe, know what a special guy he is. I learned so much about him from
most of his friends on DG. Hadn't seen him since I was a tot....still in diapers as he says.

Well, last week I left on a trip....business & some pleasure. And long story short....met the man of my dreams.
He is everything and more, and I came home with such a sore stomach.....from laughing so so much, I couldn't believe it.

Nothing like cracking up laughing on an airplane and people staring at you from a memory you just had.

Anyway....Here are a few pictures to enjoy

(((((((((Crissy)))))))))) soooooooo With you on the divorce - I know you don't necessarily want it, but when you're backed up against a wall, it's the way you take it. I remember when I chose to end my marriage of 23 years - no love, respect, etc from him, and my kids and family thought I should have given up 10 years earlier. But, I'm not a quitter, and when I was the only one working on it, I finally "saw the light". No point living in a "toxic" marriage, eh? No one was surprised Except Steve (my now-ex!) He didn't see it coming...... ah well, when even counselling doesn't work, you have to take the Big Step. (((((((Crissy))))))) let me know, by d-mail, when you want to talk, and I can call you (free LD, y'know.......)
btw - I offered for Steve to stay for the next month after serving, and he refused - he stayed for 3 months with my Mom & brother...... yes, they agreed - he Was part of the family for 23 years after all! But his smoking habit was tough for them to take........ blech!

WOW - Debbie - Congrats! He looks like such a happy man! Of course he's happy - he's sitting next to You!! So happy for you both!

Betty - I don't understand the insurance company at all - I would think the Dr's report showing you Don't have it should be enough....... Hoping you get good news from your Dr on the 11th...

This Cajun Hibiscus from Dupont Nurseries is called "Acadiana Spring". This was the first flower on this plant for me.....we just put it in the ground a month ago....it was one of the 2 "free" plant I received for joining the hibiscus club.

I love Hibiscus........ there are so many pretty ones, too!!

Here's a Hibiscus that I grow each year - it grows 6' tall, and I find about 12 to 17 new blooms each day, that only last one day.
It's called Hibiscus Cannabinis Amethyst

I think we call that Mallow Hibiscus.... I love that it's beautiful!

I had 20 Cajuns that I dearly loved but lost them all in winter 2010....the heater died in the greenhouse while we were out of town....that was the year it decided to snow here... I cried...really. Hi Linda Kay. I think Mamajack was taking orders for them, but don't know if that is still open. Dupont's used to take direct orders, but I think they have gone to "in the trade" only now.... It broke my heart to find all of mine mushy and frozen....a couple made an effort for awhile, but eventually gave up and died.

Don't know where my morning went, was up early enough, looked up at the clock and oh my, time to leave. Guess my walking the gardens with coffee in hand took some of the time.

Although I'm coughing a lot I can feel the cold breaking, oh thank the Lord..cancelled my trip to Buffalo this weekend as it would be just a tad too much for me so if the Mother Nature co-operates maybe I can play in the gardens..lots of weeding to do..like leaving it till there is quite a bit of growth so that I know what is weeds and what is not.

Girls told me with it being like a country garden, not manicured that I could forget the weeds, hightly unlikely I would do that, some weeds grow awfully tall.

Bev, I so love that photo, maybe in my retirement I'll go to photography class..kids shake their head, say I'm always clicking photo's..guess some of it is because Roger would not pose or want to be in photo's and after he passed I had few photo's that he wasn't making a face lol but you my dear sure do have a knack..do you enjoy taking photo's of people as well?

Just got an email from Darlene..what are your thoughts (which I respect)

1. Mike and Darlene gave me the gift of Mike finishing the back entrance to the basement. it's 1/2 cement blocked
(bottom) and framed with 2x4's (top) Mike was going to insulate and panel.

who was to know on January 2nd he'd pass away at tender age of 56???
During the week that followed, Darlene mentioned a few times how Mike's project would get done this
spring..something that she had to do to finish up what he so dearly wanted to do for me..
a retired friend of theirs said not to worry he would finish it in memory of Mike and it was left at that!

2. My birthday March 2nd Darlene was feeling poorly and did not purchase a gift (which she was not to do anyway)
but called me and said she would take me to Buffalo as a treat knowing how much I enjoy my weekends
away..I've been twice since and she felt badly..

this weekend we were to go however I cancelled out because I am not up to it after fighting this cold for going on
2 weeks

that is the jist of it..

just got an e-mail from Darlene saying that she feels badly about both situations even though I told her our friendship is all I need, forget about the gifts..

her friends (mostly his wife, has been going on and on and on about how much work they have to do over the next few months themselves and just can't take on anymore projects)so now Darlene feels badly because my entrance is not being done and regardless how many times I tell her NOT to let it bother her it is..I say it doesn't need doing, some other time we'll attack that corner of the house!!!!

Well her e-mail she just sent asks if I can tell her which gazebo I had been looking at and she will go into town and buy it for me and drop off the receipt to Greg so he can pick it up for me..just sent her an e-mail saying thanks but no thanks,

do you think I've offended her and maybe create a problem ?? both of us can be stubborn..
