I like the name whizzer!
Best/Worse/What did I learn today? Chat with friends
Debbie, omg he is adorable, best you give him a name before he gets a personality complex.lol. Hope when the pet photo contest comes up you enter a few of your photos.
I sure am taking it easy. From now on, no more work at all until we get this latest glitch fixed. I have a great supply of books and just a little bit of sewing to finish. But to me, sewing sashings is not work.
Dear Betty, people like you described thrive on making others uncomfortable. She can never be the person you are because she obviously has no sense of others.
Sweet little bunny Debbie. Whizzer is a cute name too.....
Well I'm glad you'll be spending time reading and researching new projects..
You are so kind, will sleep better with those kind words..
Well, completed the 3 (thought there might have been 4 but not) thread catchers..not that I need them but they were cut and supplies sitting just waiting for someone to sew...all done
Was laughing to myself, when they were undone they were flat, who cared, now they are thread catchers and where do I put them..have to see who wants one..lol
Doing great with no starting a project until you finish a project...
Would love to go to bed but I'm half way finished the last firing in the kiln of dragonfly's for the girls so another hour at least to entertain myself..
guess I'll foil some alley's ..oh what a life, exciting Friday night..where oh where did those dance nights go???
Dianne and Warren are heavy on my mind..
Betty - just scrolled up and saw how you were describing this "other woman" and yourself!!
Don't you DARE put down my friend Betty - do that again, and I'm gonna have to Spank you, young lady!!
You are a sweet, charming, caring, and talented person, and do not deserve being put down by Anyone!!
Don't "buy into" that..........!!!!! Now, my scold is done, and you won't do that again, will you?!?!?!
Many Hugs ((HUGS)) Dianne, SWarren, and Barb...
You are all in my thoughts and Prayers....
Mary, I keep checking....no news from Dianne. I am sure she is at the hospital as long as they will let her stay.
She has got to be just exhausted.
I'm thinking Debbie that they will provide her with a place to stay and rest, perhaps in same room. Know when Roger was so I'll the allowed the entire family to come and go all night..yes, she must be tired/frightened and just so overwhelmed.
I'm finally home, exhausted and needless to say just a bit upset. Too tired to go into lengthy details but Santa Warren was taken to the OR at 3:45 today and had a super duper chest tube put in. The last chest tube was done in his room with no sedation. He is now on joining our Barb an on oxygen 24/7. I need to get my guy home, the hosppital is NOT a good place for him. In less than 45 min after the new tube was put in over 1 litre of fluid was drained off his right lung. There is a concern there is a leak in his lung.
Thank you all so much for your concern, prayers and positive thoughts.
Going to have my bowel of cereal and try and catch a few hours of sleep. I will be back at the hospital early in the am.
Dianne
Checking in.... Thank you all for the updates
oh Dianne - a leak in his lung?! Here's hoping and praying that they are able to correct it (if indeed there is a leak), and make him more comfortable. Yes, get some sleep dear lady - you need it, you're exhausted of course.
Glad to hear they gave him sedation for this tube........

Morning all,
Just after reading Dianne's post it hit me just how much we've come to appreciate and love our friends here at DG..first thing on our mind come morning is how did they fare the night, are they ok?
Dianne, do hope that Santa Warren gets to come home with you..perhaps it would be less draining for you to have him safely in your arms
Sending positive energy, prayers and hugs!
Sending my gentle hugs to you
Dianne for you to pass on to SW. Please tell him for me that the O2 is not so bad and that you do get used to it. Also. I'll be mailing a package your way on Monday....Is there some way to make sure you get it such as delivery confirmation. Would they dare to say they didn't get it if there is proof that they did?
Keeping you close and God bless,
Love.Barb
Quick hug coming your way Barb!!
Good morning,
Hugs and prayers for you Barb, I know so hard for you to slow down, but when they say "put the brakes on" you gotta do it. I learned that the hard way too.
Soon you will be on the mend and feeling much much better. Praying for that.
Raining here, dreary. I was up half the night, couldn't sleep and got hooked on a movie, then another. Love The Wedding Date with Debra Messing and Dermet Mulroney (sp).
I can't see the spelling on this so hope it is OK ....
Betty behave yourself today.....don't over do it!
Bev, how was your birthday?
Suse' were your ears ringing last night? You were up having tea and honey with me at 2:00!
Mary, what is on your agenda? The girls home? DS Show up?
Crissy....how you doing hon, miss you!! Hugs
Judy, hows everything there? Big armwraps.
Susan, praying for a good day and some good news to come your way.
Thunder, you sure have a gift with the needle and thread like Barb, Betty, Sue and the other.. I tie knots.
Well, coffee is calling....
Hugs and waves and good mornings to all.
Debbie
Morning everyone! Dianne, thanks for the updates, and I sure hope you got some sleep? Praying Warren comes home soon, the comfort of his own bed! Hugs and prayers to you both!
Look what I found in the junk pile in the back yard yesterday! They were born under the prickly pear! I just love the marking on them!
Mornimg Debbie, same weather here, kind of dreary!
Old bones don't do well in this weather. Will behave..keep looking at the clock, want to figure out how to get my geese home. Lol. Thought I'd call Greg, not sure of his plans today..keep looking at the clock, been wanting to call since 6am but holding off like a good mom until at least 9am..even thought of putting that platform I bought in Florida to take mom's goodies home onto my car and see if somehow I could do it myself, have to think that one out!!
Hard finding friends with trucks, everyone switching to small compact cars..miss Darlene's Mike, he'd have picked it up before I would have even asked..
Ahwell, minor thing in the scheme of things!
Debbie, you will be taking cat naps today..and talking of behaving, pointing finger at you missy..you are the worse, telling us to behave and all the while you are doing completely the opposite. Your doctor has you pegged..Trouble is your middle name.
Betty, can you rent a truck for the day?
Waving Bev..how are you felling? Have you been playing in your gardens?
LindaKay, thank the Lord I don't live near you, Missy and Rikey would have to adapt to having a new baby in the house..they are gorgeous..offspring from you kitty?
Ahhh now what will you do with them?
Guess that is a possibility but then Greg would ask how I got it home, heavy/heavy..then I would have to listen to him as how I couldn't wait, no patience, how I've been on the mend for weeks with shoulders yada yada yada. Lol. You know how it goes.
Just started a new stained glass for Sharon, have my sewing machine out so perhaps I should find one of those projects not yet sfinished, seek out some patience and relax.
Meant to add, hide those kitties from Debbie and Bev!!

A very sad day today. Yesterday my neighbor slipped and fell in her kitchen. Her DH was outside mowing...when he went in, he found her and she wasn't breathing...EMT's restored heartbeat and oxygen and transported her to hospital. Chris just called to tell us Myrna broke her neck when she fell...machines were doing her breathing and keeping her alive, but no higher brain function....took her off life support per her wishes and she passed away at 6AM.....the same time the rain started
So sorry to hear about your neighbor! Please send my hugs and prayers to them!
Betty, they are stray kitties, We will let them stay outside, as they keep the mice and snakes away!
You better listen to your boys, and yourself, and not lift anything heavy. You need for those nerves to heal!
Oh Jean that is terrible news...sending you as Judy would say big armwraps! Was she elderly? Drats....
Ohhh double yuk on the snakes..shivers galore! Do you feed them or are they able to find eats? You live somewhat in the country so lots of room for strays? So many questions!
Called Gred and Kyle said everyone was sleeping, imagine sleeping at 9am..shaking my head.
After bathing Sailor the other day she went outside wet, of course only one throw carpet in the entire house, partially white so where does she have to lay, you got it so that is my necpxt mornimg project..vacuum, dust, do the floors, then the carpet..ought to get me to 10am. Lol. Then what?
Antsy today, it's worrying about a few friends and all of you, can't seem to settle!
Just would love to have the ability of making everything right..guess if I did my name would be God!
Thank you. Myrna was 63 and had rheumatoid arthritis and according to Dr, serious osteoporosis from the meds for RA.
I'm so sorry for your loss Jean. At least there was no suffering and that is a blessing. Sending prayers for your neighbors....And you.
Lordy that is young!! Her hubby /family and neighbors must be in shock!!
No, she did not suffer in death...DR said she actually died instantly in the fall....everything done from then on was "heroic measures". and to no avail. Looked out the window just now and Chris is out working in the rain....poor heart.
I'm sure he's overwhelmed and its a way to calm himself!
Any children/family living nearby? heart goes out to him...
The kitties are all wild, we do not feed them. We have so many stray dogs and cats, the animal control will not come out here.
Big but gentle hugs to Dianne, Warren and Barb.
Betty BEHAVE !!!! wait for Greg !!!
I would love to buy one of those thread catchers....know some one that would make good use of it ! oh ya know what ?? actually I would love to purchase two, and will gladly pay for shipping...if you have not figured out something to do with them....
LK, those kitties look like they could be children of my Twitch. He is my yard cat...very good at catching snakes :)
Thea, when I grow up....I want to be able to applique like you !!
Barb, don't you have eq7??? would be a good time to play with it, and learn how to do some designing.....then you can teach me !!
here is one of the chickens I am making for my Gr.niece now if I can just sew it half as good as Thea could.....
have a good Day Y'all i got to go to work....
tried to post some pics...would not let me :( maybe after work...
Thunder will send you 2 along with the appliqué pieces I had left over IF you are interested in doing the quilt!
What a great idea you had for Barb..
Terrible when you purchase something and then set it aside..I bought a sewing machine scanner gor my janome, mega $$$. And there it sits ..was suppose to be so easy, scan something, gibe it a color, give the stitch direction and there you go, but, no go
Almost feels like the sun might shine
Barb do you have that Eq7 manual out yet?
Sun is not sure what it wants to do, one minute sunny so I think out I will go, next minute dull and looks like rain.
Girlfriend of many years just called me from Ireland..so nice to hear from her..still wants me to go visit..we'll have to see.
Then Greg called, taking Noah to a hockey tournament but says Monday or Tuesday he should be able to drive to Barrie for me...so now I sit..think you all know me, what will I do, what will i do. Lol. Wait or attach the platform and go myself?? Hmmm
oh Jean - your poor neighbour......... he must be beside himself with grief........... I'd feel lik going out there and wrapping him in a hug...........
Those kittens are adorable, but best to leave them as they're feral and their mom is somewhere around......
Betty - what is that machine called - just a scanner to attach to the janome? Maybe sell it to your mom LOL LOL LOL (sorry, couldn't resist LOL)
oooooooooooh Ireland - just Think of the quilt material you could get there - I say GO!! (hehehehe I'm a little Enabler today LOL)
Temperature is going to get high today - it's 5c now, and is going to 16c. In the next few days we will have late Spring/summer-like weather 23c (73F) on Sunday/Monday!!
You are indeed Susan. Lol
Ok made a deal with myself
I would call Cathy and if she is home we'd put the platform on and see if I can bring it home myself
If Cathy is not home I'd wait until Greg can get there..
Called Cathy no answer...
She just called me back, must be a sign that I should go right?
hmmmmmmmmmm are you sure Greg shouldn't help you, regardless?!?!
oh, and I want to see pics of Ireland! (close to Scotland, and I'd LOVE to go there........ see where Bob's & my relations are from........). I can live vicariously through Betty LOL
