The normal chaos! lol Wish I was immune to it, but not. Leaving here by 11;00 tomorrow to go pick up Shane for the weekend.

DHs knee is really bothering him, so he has been sitting and icing. I think PT is over doing it and being back at work.

The Child, well, she has taken a second job at Subway to try and make ends meet. Realized she bit off more than she can chew...and this second job is
not going to make it any better as she only has 5 1/2 hours to sleep at night and wil have no days off. Can't tell her anything though.

Went for eye exam today...they are a mess. New lens being ordered, new drops....and trying to figure it all out.

Possible name for the bunny is Dagget....not sure, but it is after the Angry Beavers cartoon the kids & DH used to love. I am still leaning towards Wesley or BoJangles....he dances!

He was away out of town last night... supposed to show up any time now....
DSD1 was in emergency in Natchitoches today... an infection ... we'll see what is up with that....

DS has not come home yet from school.

I worked at Subway during college ...was a great job... I got 1 foot sub everytime I worked and would make 2 @ 6" subs and "save " them in the apartment fridge... I'd have a whole line up there.... and cookie dough in the freezer! LOL... really did feed me that job did.....

Betty, that story IS Suss' husband Danny I do believe.

Mary, DD The child was at docs today also...has eye infection and they are sending her for blood work because has bruises. With her history and the "anniversary date" approaching...scares me to bits!

My eye appointment didn't go very well. He said "We have a problem, you need two new eyes...and thats not possible".

My left eye has improved a bit, however the right eye is worse. He did some measurements of my cornea and is calling a contact lens manufacturer
to see what we can do. IF they can't manage it, he will have to have one made specific...by hand.

The steroid drops I was on before I can't stay on. They increase eye pressure and raise the risk of glaucoma, and since there is family history (mom) of that, he can't take a chance. SO he ordered a new medication, which they pharmacy had to order, and will be in tomorrow.

The problem is, my keratoconus is getting worse. AND my eyes have developed an allergic reaction to my contacts...basically rejecting them in my body.
IF this happens, there will be no more reading, no more tv...no more driving, as they can't fit me with glasses. SO, staying on my strict regimen he has put me on.

My new lens should be in 10 to 14 days. I use the new "soft steroid" drops, put in the new lenses and stay on the drops and go back May 24.

SO, I have to behave ...you know thats not easy for me! lol

Debbie, perhaps as you say Paul went back to work before he should have..not good news about your eyes..Lordy girl things are just not going well for you!

The Child is realizing I bet just how well things were for her at home..hard going for her but might be giving her a bit of reality as to living in the real world. Drive safely tomorrow, just think an entire weekend that you can spoilt Shane...

Omg how absolutely terrifying for you Debbie, that is terrible news. While your following doctors orders you could get some audio books, know its not the same as reading but might help. Would imagine the computer monitor doesn't help either..can you download the program that types what you speak, and, speaks what is written..Jeff has it on his blackberry and I have part of the program on my iPad, called dictation I think. Worried about you.

Don't worry about me...doing fine and finding options. As with other issues, it is a way for me to "stop and listen" and thats just something I have never liked to do.
BUT that is what needs to be done. I have been dealing with these eye issues since Feb. 1994 when a wonderful doctor finally diagnosed what was going on. Not knowing was worse than this.

Ok, I am going to bed. Tired out. Had some yogurt for a snack and am now getting tired.

rained good part of the night, dull, could be more rain or could turn into a sunshine day..few more hours will tell!

going to force myself to get dressed today..could so easily stay in my Jammie's..don't we all have days like that?

Have my coffee beside me and sketch paper along with the focus piece I fired yesterday..rather than just randomly helter skelter placing glass for a panel will try to make it all pull together..that's a quiet sit down type of project.

Once I've accomplished design going to take out my sewing machine..was looking at 'to do' projects and I could finish the 4 scrap holders and get them out of the way

As you can see although It's a take it easy kind of day I might accomplish a few things.

So what is your plan today??

Dianne hope you rested well and that Warren has gained enough strength for drs to consider his coming home tomorrow

Got my sewing machine out, finished so far 2 of 4 scrap bags...won't quit until the 4 are done so I can mark them off blackboard. Tempted to do other things but am staying regimented, no can do till a to do has been done lol

Spoke with Sharon re her stained glass panel, I asked her the size and she said a small one then Lord be she said 18" x 24". To be that is not small..

The temp here is 14c - 57F, and that's nice for only Noontime. Will get warmer today.

Bob has called from WM, so he doesn't have word yet about the job - he was filling in paperwork in the boardroom (likely the application) but I suspect it will be "we'll let you know". When he gets home I will fill you in.

Bob's back, and after the interview they had him take an IQ test, fill out for a Security Check (takes 10 days) and walked him around the warehouse. They have 2 others to interview. So, I guess that means 2 more weeks before he hears.......

Cardiologist visit - April 20, 2012
Today I saw the cardiologist at CMC. After checking in and having an EKG (electrocardiogram), we met with him. He had the results of my echo cardiogram as well.
His determination is that I have a damaged heart. It does not pump as strong as it should. He said there could be several reasons for the damage. One cause he mentioned is a silent heart attack. Another is an infection I may have had in the lungs that traveled to the heart. Next week I am having a chemical stress test to try to find the cause. If that isn’t clear, then I may need to have a heart catheterization. I had blood work done and he has put me on a new med. I will have blood drawn again in one week to see if it is being effective. He is aware that I need a gall bladder operation as well.
So, I proceed from here again with more restrictions. No lifting, no excitement and rest a lot. I see him again next Friday.

Oh Barb...wished and prayed for better news for you today....biggggggggggggg hugs my Girl...but we have to stay possitive...we are another step closer to get things resolved with your gallbladder and I rather them be on the safe side then rush and get that gallbladder out and you ending up with compications!!! You are aways in my heart and in my prayers. We will get through this together.

Dianne...my heart just breaks for you. Like others said before me, you are such a strong woman and I admire your strength. Praying hard that you and Warren will have many more weeks to enjoy the togetherness and closeness and that he can come home with you soon. Sending you biggggggggggggg hugs as well and remember I am only a phone call away. Bernie and I will be there if you need help. And you too special lady are always in my heart and prayers.

OMG Debbie!!! Do you know you are sitting on a goldmine with your bunny?? and NO not for eating...lol....but for his poop!!! Bunny poop is one of the best fertilizers for veggies and flowers and you can add it straight to the soil without burning the plants!!! You lucky girl you!! I showed my DH your bunny and I asked him if we could get one too...lol...all he did was roll his eyes at me and said "I don`t think so.." *sigh*

I have been busy the last few weeks with my garden and it is all weeded, cleaned and ready to be planted!! Also have 50 pepper plants growing, 155 tomato plants seeded, overwintered Geraniums repotted and they are ready to flower. Will be seeding more flowers and veggies over the next few days. I just love spring...new growth and life...just lifts the spirit and it makes me almost forget the pain :)

Yeah, my DH had only been working for the county about 4 years when that incident happened. Never in a million years did he know he'd be the director one day. That's cool, isn't it?
Moses got an excellent vet check today. We're going for a latte when the DH gets off. That's the only time he gets a doggie treat. I figure he deserves it today after all the herrific things they did to him ... LOL

Just got in from groceries and I to had prayed that the answers would have been better...I'm at a loss for words!! After meeting Norm I know that at home you are in good hands..such a loving man! Here is hoping the meds will work and no heart catherization will be needed. Can you recall feeling poorly where you may have suffered a light stroke?
Think you have been following Dr's orders but now you must be vigilant to do NOTHING. Know a lot of times things seen light and easy to do but you must have someone else help out...time for reading those great books you've always wanted to read. Will keep you in my daily prayers.

With all the veggie planting you must do a lot of canning? Wonderful that that you have been able to spend time gardening...nice feeling isn't it to have all the hard work behind you and now reap its beauty.

Suse, projects I worked on we're relaxing for me..great news for Moses..bet he even knows when it's treat time!Sailor has been standing and occasionally hind gives out so know there is a vet bill in the happening and not for a good ..

How absolutely proud you must be of your dh..helping people during their time of need..takes special people.

The policeman who took his life last week had been off 8 weeks on stress leave..he had attended a call where a young boy 4 years old had a granite counter top fall and take his life and also attended several other deaths..we just don't realize how stressful their jobs are and how they cannot leave them behind..imagine same is done with 911 calls, staff must go home and relive many of these calls day after day..give that hubby a hug for me will you.

Went to Gayle's for more stained glass supplies, who was there but an acquaintance who is the busy body type..here she was dressed like she was going to meet the Queen, even called herself bewaitiful, a princess and a diva..guess we are near same age and there I was looking ever so frumpy, somethink the cat wouldn't even drag in..was embarrassed.

Of course she knew me when I had to leave Bill's with less than $30 in my pocket, saw what I had moved into, you could see almost pity in her eyes...ok..did have hard times, managed to do a lot to the house, got myself back up..should really take better care of my appearance., should but likely won't. Now why could I have met her when I was all gussied up?? Lol

SHane is home for the weekend. He had his skateboard in the livingroom, usually the cats sit on it in a sunbeam.

Well BunnyKins thought he would go for a ride.....and was sitting on the skateboard.

Well, long story short....DS now thinks we should name him Whizzer. Oooops.
