Hoping for a quick answer Mary. But with surgery scheduled so far out I would think a few days will not matter.
Thinking of you and Warren this morning Dianne. Hope this hospital now knows what kind of care you expect and that Warren gets it....I understand about being short staffed but when even basic needs are not met, something is terribly wrong.
Trying to sew a pocket on one of Brandon's saddle pads to carry water etc when he goes on a trail ride. They can be bought but he asked so I will try....
Hoping everyone has a good day today. Off to do laundry....

If Brandon is like my grandsons he thinks his grandma can do EVERYTHING.. bet he'll be impressed with the outcome. So nice seeing you post, only a couple more days before the specialist..sending support and prayers that the outcome makes you smile!

Susan, just thinking that I bought it, had a new top made, hitch etc then parked it under the deck and never taken out.. Seeing as I have it, doesn't cost me anything to keep it does it..seems such a waste so I'll give it some thought!

Personally, unless I needed the $ or space, I'd keep it cuz as soon as you get rid of it, someone would Love to buy it from you, or you want to use it. Unlike clothes that shrink in your closet (and you know how you want to get rid of those Shrinking nasties which you'll Never be able to wear!!), this does have a future use you may not be aware of now.......

thing is none of my friends are camper type people, when I say want to go somewhere for the weekend, extended long weekend all say 'yes, if in a hotel' then when I say I'll take it and go on holidays i.e. end of July/August I've friends who say while travelling down just spend the night with us..soooo not sure if I want to set up and spend time JUST me..

my DH Bob got a call for an interview this am, and he's going at 10:00 am on Friday!
It's a tip he got from a neighbour about a job in a Flooring co.

Does he have the skills to do that kind of work? Wouldn't that be wonderful.

It's for the Warehouse position, and yes, he has Warehouse skills - including his Forklift certification

Yes, our Tubby would have us laughing till we had tears in our eyes (at least I did)..always thoughtful and caring.Do miss him!!! While he was ill Shirley came on to let us know how his battle was going..we came to love her as we did our Tubby..hoping she soon will be back with us!!

MIL is trying to move her appt. She doesn't want us to cancel the vacation. I love her. I love you all for your (hugs) and thoughts and links, etc.

DS GF's Mom and Dad have given their blessing. She can go to WDW with us. She has never been but loves the Disney movies.

Bob's interview is Tomorrow........... at 10am

Afternoon everyone!

Am home early today as I went into the hospital for 6 am. I wanted to be there when all of the docs paid their visits this morning. Got to see all of them except the 1 I wanted to see the most - Respirology.(sp?) Santa Warren is starting to look so much better and for that I am thankful.We received some grim news this morning although I was expecting it. The results of the latest bone scan, CT and MRI are in and do not look good. The cancer has spread even more through SW's body plus all of the cancerous areas radiated earlier are larger. It is my goal now to make every day that SW is with me the best that I can. He still has the chest drainage tube in and it looks like the tube is plugged again just like yesterday. SW now has a major artery blocked in his lungs and a bronchial tube being squeezed shut bu cancerous nodules. Of course Santa Warren is anxious to get home as I am to have him here but I don't think it will be before Sat.

Thank you so much for your support and prayers. I am going to have a nap now and will be back to read as I am waaay behind.

Sending my love Dianne and keeping you and SW in my heart and prayers. I know it is not easy but I must tell you I so admire your strength and your courage. This had been a incredible journey for both you and SW and you have taken it in dignity and resolve. I'm so very proud of you my friend....Wish I could be there~~~~~

Dianne - I also send my love, thoughts and prayers. It won't be easy for you when SW is home (heck, it's not easy for either of you with him in hospital.........), but know that you can come here any time and vent, cry, or get some cheering section!!

Dianne both Barb and susan have said it so eloquently that I will not add to it..you are both in my thoughts and preachers..hope you are able to rest!

Lots of hugs to you both Dianne. Above all know you allow Warren his dignity and that is a priceless gift. Good thoughts and prayers that he is home soon.

Time to turn on the heat, yikes, sun is going down and I'm chilled to the bones..think I shall have a hot bath and maybe order supper from the restaurant..sounds like a plan doesn't it?

Cathy dropped by this afternoon, she stood guard on the washroom door so that Sailor could escape her bath..boy oh boy it's a chore to get her into the tub considering she braces herself..but a bath and a good brushing likely will make her feel better.

Then I thought why not ask Cathy if she wants to do the fleece blanket for her Mom for Mother's Day..last time I was in Buffalo I bought Cathy front/back fleece..she was up to it and inside 1 1/2 hrs she was done, throw cover finished..thrilled as can be as will her mom come Mother's Day.

I also purchased a few pieces for glass sagging, cut a round circle about 5" of bubbled mother of pearl clear glass and then cut out a red dragonfly, set into the kiln and fired just long enough to tack it..now I'm anxious to start another piece..think this is 5 since February..getting ahead of the game for sure!


Also finished Linda's stained glass piece. Will call her and tell her it's early 2012 Christmas gift..I've just nowhere to stockpile these big pieces



Darlene called as well, she thinks she has found a place in Ft. Myers for Jan/Feb and March..likely I will drive her down between Christmas and New Years..spend a week or so then fly home and depending if she doesn't get homesick I will fly back to pick her up late March..looks like her plan is coming together..SHE DOES NOT want to be home for NewYears..will be difficult..my hubby New Years Day her January 2nd..

Very understandable for you & Darlene to not want to be home at that time..........

MIL's surgery has been moved to June 4th. we'll get back late on the 2nd...so relieved.

I'm thinking of a giant card for her for Mothers Day (Betty's idea above spurred it on) maybe a pic from each child/grandchild with different sayings of hers/ what I learned from Maw Maw.... Hm....... They won't know when we are making it because on Mothers Day is when she will tell the GK's of her surgery...but something we can put in her room for recovery.
