Morning everyone.
It's in the high 60s today!! Can you believe that? I have potted tropicals put outside last week, and truly thinking maybe this year, Spring is true. Well, hoping here that this year won't be like the last few years where right before Easter, snow paid a visit. :(
Checked the weather and we're returning to high 70s for the rest of the week.

Lord, please don't let snow fall on my sistahs...and me.

Kel's a diabetic and refused to take his Metformins... and he almost paid for that when he went for his physical exams. The state won't hire him till his blood sugar's in check and a doctor made a statement that Kel's on meds.
Sistah, Lord intends we have the best, and sometimes we face unlikely setbacks that we think will doom us.
We just can't see beyond tomorrow... He does. Have faith sistah.
And yes, you can vent 24/7 here.
You are always here for anyone of us, so why can't we do the same for you?

I've just had a whirlwind of a weekend. that lasted 4 days. Seems 2 granddaughters decided to come see me on Friday, spur of the moment. One granddaughter always brings friends with her, so I had 4 college aged kids here till Sunday, and 1 just left yesterday... then Don came home from his trip. Sheesh... they do keep me busy... but I do love me some Nana time.

Kathy, sis... my heart goes out to you... of course I'm praying for a quick recovery for Sammy... How is he doing now?

Dylan is just the cutest baby I've seen in such a long time... LK, you're so blessed.

Jaye's right... Our Lord has the master plan... and it includes each and every one of his children. He loves us unconditionally. So, when it seems that the bottom has fallen out from under us, and we feel that just when it looks like things might get better for us, but it doesn't happen.... just remember... sometimes we just have to be still, be very quiet, and listen for his instructions. That is so very hard to do when you feel the pinch of despair... but that is where TRUST comes in to play.

Nana time is important, especially when your DGDs 'voluntarily' want to be with you!! I was one weird grandaughter that love to be with my grandma every chance I could!
So, did they use the jet skis?

Jaye, they call me "The No Drama Nana"... things get a bit stressful their dads house... so, they like to "chill" here. No, even though it's warm this time of year... the water is still too cold to get very wet... so, we haven't put the jet skis in the water yet. We did take them out for a boat ride though.

Marion, good that you're home... I know it always feels good to get back home after a trip... rest up... and please... YES... by all means... get that laundry done... LOL

BJ, I know you're proud that your DGDs chose your home to destress, instead of running wild at clubs or God forbid.. indulging in illegal substance!
My sister who's in France, wish that I'm close by where her kids could go to when they need to be away from the house once in a while.
Unfortunately, her BIL (the only relative her DH has) is in a nut house, and her SIL is too busy for anyone. Their kids are also too busy for cousins :(

Jaye... I'm not so naive to believe that my DGDs haven't been to some clubs, and tried some illegal substances. After all, they're away at college... and it happens. But like I told them... they can go that route if they want to... it's their choice... but if they do, they should never expect to have a career, or happy family life, or to get very far in life at all. You just can't have both. I also don't keep them from drinking when they're here... the fridge is open to them... but as soon as I see a drink in their hand, they have to turn over their car keys to me... AND, NO water play. So far, they haven't gotten out of control, nor have they taken advantage of it. Actually, Kristi doesn't like most alcohols... she will drink a Mike's Hard Lemon Aid once in a while though. Kati and I have a glass of wine in the evening, but that's about all she has. Neither of them like beer.
AND, actually... that's what causes most of the stress at their dad's house... way too much drinking going on there... so, they like to keep it "REAL" (as they put it), when they're here.

LOL Sue, I didn't think it was rude at all, I was laughing, guess my busy body came off the wrong way too. Thanks for all of the chicken info, I'm going to copy and paste it to an email and send it to Dave. OMG I can't stand it when that happens! Big big big hugs!!!

Cindy you need to be going to the casino girl, luck is on your side this week! Yes get the tonsils out and hopefully that helps, it's not tonsillitis so I don't know, the more you have strep the more you can get it, like pneumonia and bronchitis. I used to get strep throat constantly when I was a kid, then when I was probably 15ish I quit getting it and have never had it since, and I still have my tonsils. Good luck with the doc appt in the morning, hopefully they know what it is and can fix it real fast!

BJ that's awesome that they came to raid your house for the weekend! LOL no drama nana, love it! Good of them to want to keep it real, parties and what-not are fine as long as you don't go off the deep end and party every night, that's when it's a serious problem.

went to see sammy today. he looks alot better. he gave me kisses, then remembered he was made at me for leaving him, so he ignored me. the vet is going do an ultra sound of his kidneys because he just can't get the levels in his blood down enough for him to feel comfortasble sending him home. he also called my vet who called me and told me not to worry, he thinks sammy will be fine. thanks for all the prayers. i miss him so much.
i have an egg empire going on. i must have at least 75 guinnea eggs now.
sue, i have 12 long island reds goming in a few weeks. they are very good layers. i like brown eggs. the neibors hen laid an egg today on the bobcat seat. michael said she must want him to sit on it

Girls don't always think of what can happen to them when they get to drunk either. The guys will follow you to your car and well we all know what can happen. or take advantage of you while your to drunk to think clearly. I mean its dangerous for young women to party in public . beleive me i know ! i was not a great thinker back in my 20's i was a drinker not a thinker ROFLLL

awww Sue - good night's sleep......... wha's That? My DH didn't want to go to sleep until 3am and I, needing him near me, didn't go to sleep until he did. I find myself following him to whatever room he's in or, if he's not home, staying home. It's easier than going out right now..........

Sue I feel your pain, me and Dave sleep in separate rooms and that's fine with me, I have the king size bed all to myself and if you don't think I sprawl out all over it, oh yeah!! He decided to sleep with me one night a couple weeks ago, ppttthhhh I couldn't sleep at all so I kicked him out.

Kel's a major snorer. On his nights off, I'll be bringing my pillow to the guest room.

Found some forgotten stash in my sewing box, so Kel's lucky tonight. I'll be treating him to Mexican!
Thank God, we won't be sleeping in the same bed. Besides his snoring, he'd be the Windtalker after the beans!!

jaye, it broke my heart to leave him today, but i was glad that he is improving. they gave him a bath and he smelled so good. when i took him there he smelled of puke. poor thing

well he is also the lightest sleeper in the world ! if a pin drops he is up , if a fly farts he is up. if a crack creaks he is up .
Crissy i too am a sprawling mama. We downsized our bed to a queen ... yea i know ... stupid. i thought it would bring us closer together but nah it didn't. he complains about sleeping on the edge ect... ummmm duh our bed is smaller stupid ! less to say he is not a cuddler or a person who wants to be touched at all. He snores, he drools, he is a hot sleeper , takes off all covers ect... he is just a miserable person to sleep with. *sigh * what was i thinking ..... yep i guess you can tell my marriage is not the best.

That is the truth, I'm on this anti-Dave kick lately, he's so selfish and arrogant lately I just don't like him right now, it's just the way it goes sometimes, doesn't mean I'm going to get a divorce anytime soon, just means I'm going to be looking for things to do until he calms down.

I take that to mean that you fall OUT of love with them in order to fall back in love with them!!

slept really late - in bed by 11:30 and now it's after 9:30 - just woke up. Guess I needed the sleep! Lately we'd been going to sleep about 2 to 3 am, and we decided that wasn't a good thing. This being out of work sucks for both of us.

I got a Job Fair to go to at a company called My Sewing Place - Saturday at 8am! They're looking for a Administrative Assistant.

saw sammy today. hes looking good. they sent his blood out to another lab, hopefully they will find the answer we are looking for. so far his bail is 800 dollars. i have paid 5. i'm sure i can spring him when the time comes.

my crazy oldest DD is missing ? for the last 7 days. I m sure this is one of her attempts at " get everyone focusing on me " routine she does. Or she is just ignoring the fact she needs to get her @#$$ crap together with her DR. so she can continue on SSI.
even her boyfriend doesn't know where she is , she won't answer her phone either , its turned off. ?
so we shall see. i wonder how they are going to pay rent this april ? if no one is home .

DD went to go visit friend . She gave me a name but honestly i don't remember.
Boyfriend went to go take her a battery charger for her phone, to her, at her friends. He didn't say anything else except he has not heard from her in 8 days. He is in Texas in a hospital with a badly injured son. ? never said when he would be home ? they have a cat also. who has the cat ? There rent is due on monday... her phone goes straight to voice mail . weird ?
so doesn't this all sound fishy to you ?

Hello Ladies,
Back home for 4 days then back to Auburn Tuesday morning to spend the week with Taylor, she will be on Spring break. LOL I took Harlee with me so she could meet Benny. Oh my gosh Taylor and I laughed our heads off at the silly dogs. Took Benny awhile to calm down and get used to Harlee.

The weather is going to be nice this next week and I will lose 4 days of planting. Things are sprouting in the hothouse and will need transplanting soon.

Benny & Harlee look like they are doing great together - good buddys!!
