I make them for the fun of putting them together. It is all apart and will be offered for sale at the town wide yard sale in May.
I'm sorry to hear both Ann and Darlene are feeling poorly. I know it is difficult for them. I'll try to get out this weekend and find some funny little cards to send.

Best/Worse/What did I learn today? a visit with friends!!
ohhh he's so adorable, reminds me of the wooden snowman sock I've been painting all day..
(hard day at the office) ! I'll tell them you have them in your thoughts, they often ask about you and are concerned SOOOO no rushing out to get cards, my telling them will suffice.
Gorgeous out there, switching phones in 20 minutes..will be home tomorrow so will try and get 1/2 hr. before I start my day and a 1/2 hour of yard duty after 3:00pm.. getting antzy sitting here
Sharon just MSN'd me the following:
Great! Inuk won breed today and one of my girls (from a previous litter) that lives somewhere else took Best of Opposite!!! in louisville, KY

BARB YAY!!! So glad you got some answers and have a solid plan of attack! It's about time someone decides to buy a brain! Sheesh! Norm is a true gem, that's for sure.
Liz thanks for letting us know about Judy, I can't believe she's still sick, she needs to go to the doc and get some drugs lol
LOL Betty, no you shouldn't be multitasking at all, glad dinner came out good!
Debbie glad Paul's surgery went well and glad you got to see Dr. Hotness, he is a looker!!!
Betty Sharon sure is having some good things happen with Inuk!! That's way way awesome!
Betty, please tell Darlene, and Ann were thinking of them too! So hard, to lose a loved one!
Love that puzzle Barb! It does look like Batty's Snowman!
Congrats to Sharon, and Inuk!
Wow, amazing how 1/2 hour of yard work does you in..just goes to show you how out of shape you are (meaning me)! Would have burned leaves and dead stems had my wheel barrel tire not been out of air..too lazy to get compressor out. Just so beautiful out, I know I keep saying that but mid to high 60's when we are usually shovelling snow is quite somethink..if it continues all weekend I'll get BBQ going.
Got stopped in a ride program on the way home..asked if I was drinking? Did I have alcohol in the car? Told him the only alcohol was in my painting bad to wash out my brushes..he just smiled! Odd, 5:00 pm on a Thursday night? Guess they figure with the weather some are out sipping a few on the law
Yes, Graeme who does the shows with Inuk is on a roll..just too bad Sharon's back cannot take the travelling
Crissy, enough leftovers for you...taste yummy in the tummy.
Although I feel like a bath is in order and a lay down, think I will do more work on Julie's SG piece..don't want to leave it to chance.
Will time myself and spend no more than an hour..aren't you proud I'm taking baby steps? You are rubbing off on me. Lol. Must say news meds are helping..headache much better since they have changed to stronger blood pressure meds.
Barb so good to hear a plan is in place. Sounds like Doctor thinks you will be able to increase lung capacity will therapy. Debbie good to hear Paul is doing well. Betty what are you cooking for Greg tonight? Is he coming for dinner?
Betty, they are doing more traffic stops for drinking/driving because of St. Patricks day celebrations. It has been very heavy around here also.
AND, you haven't mentioned how your blood pressure checks have gone this week, you did NOT skip them did you?
Evening all,
geewhizzz, never even thought about St. Patricks day and all the celebrating..could figure out why on a back concession at 5:30 pm they would have two cruisers..smart thinking.
Greg had to work tonight but I did have leftovers from last night that he'd had gulped down had he had time to come over.
Jeff just called, went for his first bike ride..called to tell me the saddlebags I bought him were perfect..he was thrilled.
No, I've had my bloodpressure checked twice..was 170 and now down 140 so perfect..
Wouldn't you know, was all gung ho to finish the soldering and glass cutting, ran out of solder..oh well, must mean it's bed time.
Took out the santa's, omg they are in cuttings about 2" thick each and are 4 pkgs..someone must have thought we'd be making a lot of sleighs...a few bolts though are mostly red, 2 different designs, wouldn't matter because the projects would go to someone else.
how is Paul doing tonight Debbie...and the child, is she settled in now, more relaxed with being on her own? Ahhh Sunday you will have the empty nest syndrome again
Goodness, that is a lot of Santa panels! Do I see a Santa quilt in your future?
Doubtful Lindakay lol, would you believe June said she had lots as well, no shortage for sure! We must have bought between us all, all store stock.
Been a long few weeks for you staying close to home waiting on news of Heather and Dylan .. You havent mentioned weather in your area has it been nice and without humidity?
Just checked our weather..mid 60's over the next week, calling for 70 on Thursday, unheard of..breaking all kinds of records
Think it is bedtime, almost sure of it

Hello To All !
YAY! LK - Soon we'll have a Dylan. I bet Heather is beyond ready..
Barb - it's got to feel good just having a plan. I never enjoy feeling out of control of a situation and can somewhat understand how you must be feeling. Thank you for stopping in to share !
Betty - too funny about the stop. Wonder if he asked you and you forked over the paint remover how he'd feel LOL. yes - we have St. Patricks Day parade saturday. I've been invited to a friends house... will try to make myself go... much as I'd like to stay in bed late it would be good to go.
Jean - you are just South of my house then. I live near Shenandoah, hair did in Dutchtown I suppose... but I'll be long overdue cuz "Witchypoo" scheduled a meeting and I had to cancel my appt today....
I'll pop back in a bit...
Mary
I am here, just took Dh up and put to bed....have to go up myself shortly. All I am saying is....I need a 2 X 4 and a place to live.
The icing was on the cake today.....and leave it at that.
Hugs to you all,
Debbie
Debbie did Paul use up all the wood in doing steps, think from the sounds of it you cold use a 2x8 rather than 2x4.sleep well me thinks you will need all the energy you can muster today.
Am sure Mary that Witchypoo scheduled the meeting in order to thank you and others for all the hard work done last week!!
Goodmorning to all coffee is on and DH is cooking breakfast.
Good Morning to you all....time to do the TGIF happy dance...grin
Sounds like Dylan is holding out for the first day of Spring...he's just been hibernating...smile
Debbie, men make the worst patients....I have a low tolerance for whinge and whine...and when DH is down with anything...even a hangnail, you'd think he had been personally insulted by whatever ails him....grrrr.
Mary, I have close friends in Shenandoah....my friend on Confederate checked out the map and said it would be a 5 minute drive if there was a bridge over the Manchac at Hoo Shoo Too....sorry you missed your hair appt.
Hope everyone feels better...
Have a great weekend
Jean

T.G.I.F!
Morning all,
Already been for groceries, decided to rug clean living room rug, maybe even was a few windows on the inside..would be out doing outside chores but working from home means staying inside where I can hear the telephone...if i continue to do same all summer I will do see what kind of system I can get which will allow me to play in the gardens and still work from home!
LindaKay, great weather you are having and we are not far behind you in temps..what you posted, is it the norm for you this time of year??
So temped to take back deck enclosures down, put the patio furniture on all the decks but likely a few blizzards yet to come, think I will stick to the raking..
Thrilled that I've no plans to do anything this weekend except play..might meet up with Jeff at some point should I finish his SG piece but other than that, I'm free as a bird...
Just looked at flyers, the patio settee set I want is $100 off this week..tempted to go get it but must take dimensions first..
Laura, what a treat, dh cooking breakfast..what are we having? So miss roger's cooking but don't miss the clean up afterwards. Lol
Jean, am doing the TGIF happy dance..can't wait with all the talk of how close you and Mary are of a meeting between the two of you...know how excited I get when meeting up with Debbie as she is the closest to me.
Off to get one of Laura's coffee and get ambitious before I decide to do ...nothing is more fun

Eggs, sausage and toast. Today I am returning shorts I purchased for little man. This weekend greenday bike ride on Sat and soccer after. Then Sun. brother having a cookout at his new home..... Oh and the library is having a book sale happens once a year...
You have one busy schedule this weekend Laura..there will be no time for sewing! sure that you'll so enjoy...imagine you are planning outing with the trailer soon?? So many exciting places to see!
Enjoy
Finished the rug, washed the floors and now geared to windows..almost had a heart attack so having a sit down and another coffee..Missy wanted in, opened the door and in she pranced with a baby chippy in her moth..Lordy I hate it..then I gave her treats as she was begging and I thought now that is not smart as she will think I'm treating her for bringing ME a treat....
Debbie, have you heard how Dianne and Warren are doing..they have been n my thoughts all morning?
Paul behaving?
Goodness Betty, that was a surprise for sure!
Temps are about 5 degrees above normal for this time of year!
Still a touch of fog that has to move on, 54F and dull. When I went for groceries fog was heavy, girl at the till said 'you braved to weather this time of morning to come shopping'. Lordy girl, usually we are braving blizzards and shovelling.
Almost where I want to be, few more inside windows, 3 sets of mirror closet doors to do..spaghetti simmering and I am finish and ready to play..
By 3pm should be ready for outside work
Guess that leaves about 1 1/2 hrs unclaimed..hmmm could cut some fabric into 2 1/2" strips..hate to waste a ay..
What are you doing LindaKay other than waiting patiently by the phone??
We know what Laura is doing, how about everyone else?
Working on a bay quilt. Almost done.
Asking for prayers of comfort please. Our Siberian husky is 15 and has been sick for awhile. We just called the vet to see if she can come to the house and put him to sleep. So hard to do, but know it is for the best for Karoosh! Thanks
prayers for Karoosh that the journey be painless..hugs my friend, difficult for you and yours to lose such a loving member of your family..
Siberians don't normally live that long..would say its from all the love and care you've given!
So sorry...
I to have Sailor who is nearing that time, will make same brave choice as you have when time .
Bless the vet for coming so that Karoosh will pass from the home he's lived in and all he has loved..
Thanks Betty!
Hugs to you LK hard decision to make but best for Karoosh. May he see my Jasmine and they become friends.
Betty do not over due outside work. Sometimes we think we can just do a little more and pay in the end.
We wanted to take the camper out this weekend to much going on will check the wheather so maybe next weekend.
Betty I sew when all asleep in the early morning.
Linda Kay, so sorry about Karoosh. I lost my sweet Springer Spaniel, Chester, 10, just before New Year's. You were so kind to your buddy to not let him linger....a huge hug and a tear in memory.
Prayers for Karoosh. I almost lost my cat Chocolate the other day as the dogs got hold of him. I was able to get him free and I think he's OK physically but he's been out of sight a lot of the time. Think he's in shock. I've had dogs and cats that got along but not now. My two cats both spend most of their time on roofs or other high places.
Finally got a few hours of good lseep last night and am feeling better. I was able to get started on the tile for the kitchen counters and tony glued the first tiles this morning. It will be a huge improvement when done. We both do the planning and I can do a lot of the prep work and assisting. I let Tony do the cutting and gluing. At least with Dana not speaking to me she won't be able to come over when it's done and tell what else I need to do!! Oh, well, her mother is coming to visit and she is rumored to be even more critical than Dana so I'm letting her endless criticism go.
It is spring here and I am also doing more work on the new garden. I do not miss Dana's endless suggestions about what to do next.
My house was such a wreck when I moved in. A few concrete block walls with openings for windows. No running water. |Little electricity. No shade. It was August and i promplty got dengue fever. Not to mention the hurricane that hit two days after I moved in. However, the house I'd just moved from was completely under water / I would have lost evrything possibly including my life. I am so grateful for what I didn't lose then and for what I have now. Tony and I both love to take breaks and look around at all the improvemtns that we have made over the years. There are many times when I put on mental blinders to stop myself from thinking of all that "should" be done and thank |God for everything that I have. I'd hate to pass away some night and have my last thoughts be of all that I haven't done. God has been very good to me. I have a solid home and happy animals and Tony and all my plants.
Antonio may be back with a computer for me this weekend. Otherwise, i'll be back at the internet cafe every few days.
Haven't heard yet when my knee surgery will be. Also waiting to hear about the court date with my former friend. However, I am getting rested up from the trip which was a bit stressful and it always tiring.
Very glad to get making progress on the kitchen.
Glad to hear of the plans for Dylan.
hugs, katie
Betty, Dianna & Warren are at the Clinic today so maybe an update later on. Her headache was doing better, praying that it keeps going in the right direction.
LindaKay, you know my heart is right with you.....so so hard to do. Karoosh have a peaceful journey to Rainbow Bridge. Many hugs.
Hi everyone!!
Sorry I haven't been able to chime in today but I got all my work caught up!!!
Debbie Oh my!! 30 Lashes with a 2x4!
I hope Dianne gets rid of that headache really soon.
(((((((((((((((((((((LK)))))))))))))))))))))) here's some big big hugs, Karoosh has had a wonderful life with you, and they don't live to be 15, that's incredible!!
Katie so glad you're getting rested up and things done and what-not. Hang in there, it will all be over soon. And yes, wash your hands of Dana, she's not worth the stress.
Met Greg in town, got the urge to go looking at cars, must be Crissy talking of new car smell sooo got the urge. Thankfully Larry wasn't there so I left..Larry being a friend of Greg called a bit ago, Greg checked to see which car I bought lol. Larry said he hadn't seen me sooo have an appt. next Saturday morning to go look and test drive...don't want anything much bigger than the Aveo.
Just finished cutting the Santa panels..yikes I have 160 santa's...what on earth were we thinking... Excluding these Pat and Jne have a cupboard full...shaking my head!
Been thinking of you Lindakay, know we are all there with you...
Katie, way to go, time to realize who builds you up and who drags you down...time to set that friendship aside.
Crissy, reason to go celebrate tonight, you are caught up at work..likely you will wait until tomorrow so you can enjoy some green bubbly of Irish brew.
Thanks for update Debbie, here is hoping good reports are had..thankfully Dianne is ot fighting that headache!
Here is Greg, spaghetti night for he and mom..have a project for him to do, method in my cooking madness lol
Betty get another Aveo or something of the sort. I like the Mazda 2, not fond of Mazda but the 2 is really cute! Dave's Civic is an awesome little car!
Might go out both nights! Wanted to go to the St. Patty's Day parade in downtown Hot Springs tomorrow morning but don't want to go by myself. hhmmmmmm
No more Aveo's Crissy, Sonic replaced it in name only..much the same size..Greg said there is a nice candy apple red inside the dealership showroom, we'll see..
just did the living room rug this mornimg and here Greg a brought Ned and Sophie who are as large as horses and dirty paws, guess I will be do g it again tomorrow!
You are in my thoughts LindaKay
So sorry Linda Kay. I had to put my dear black lab" Blue" down about a yr ago and still cry. Big Hugs BEV
Sorry for Karoosh, LK - I know it's hard, and you're being brave...... bless you...
Katie - your poor cat must be, as you say, in shock! Two dogs!?!?!?! yikes, poor Chocolate!
Hello To All !
Oh Katie - please make sure the kitties have a place to get away from the dogs.... Mom trusted her 7 dogs but sometimes it's just instinct and lost our old cat Missy that way... (looked just like Betty's Missy too). (HUGS) for getting rid of those who bring you down. Sometimes good to look at old pics of how things were before you improved them around the house...
LK - many (HUGS) For Karoosh... He'll be up there with my little Opey and Indy.
Laura - sounds like a fun weekend planned !
Jean - Yup my Grandma used to say we would never have Babies if the Men had to have them ! LOL... yes - and maybe that bridge will be built sooner than we think. Hoo Shoo Too - our Northern friends will be laughing about our Road Names....read an article claiming many different reasons for the strange name. I can walk to the Amite River from my house easy.
Oh Betty - Missy was trying to feed you... she doesn't think you are feeling well.! Shame on Greg ! I remember you trying to babysit those pups... was difficult... and right after you spent time cleaning up.....
No - the meeting was to chastise us. No memory that we've been in a Project for 2 weeks...we're all behind. And (I quote) "If you all can't step up and get the job done... I'll just fire you all and find people who can"
Everyone is over it.... rumor is most are looking for new jobs....
YAY! TGIF !
I should go to St. Paddy's parade party at a friends tomorrow but all I can think of is sleeping in and finishing up planting the remaining swap plants...Got up to 90 degrees today !
Hugs,
Mary
oh Mary - what a nasty thing to hear from your boss!!!
I don't blame them for looking for new jobs.............
Hey Susan;
LOL well I used to be a lot more nervous around work... but I suppose it's so over the top we're all just tired of it...
How is the cataloging going? I think you said you had finished and moved on to another project.....
A quick hello....
Exhausted and my eyes are bothering me. The light from the monitor is not helping. Was playing "Words" on FB with sunglasses on.
DH is still alive. His knee looks pretty good, swelling going down, bandage changed and had a shower. can start applying light weight when walking with crutches. He doesn't seem to have any trouble sleeping or such. However his control issues are going to come to an end really quick. Using terms like "You may serve me my lunch now" and others....a 2 X 8 is going to get him hung!
Sending hugs
Debbie
