Inuk won American Nationals just a few minutes ago in Seattle..just spoke with Sharon, she is flying high..Essie with most major wins in Canada and USA..no additional title but they will now have a trophy designed with his figure and will be given out each year at Nationals so it's a big/big deal for her.

Jeff called, said it would mean a lot to Julie to have 2 hearts in the stained glass piece and could I do it?? The piece doesn't blend to hearts but then it is not for me so two hearts in bottom left corner and top right corner.

Put some glass in the kiln that I might add, not sure yet, have to wait until morning to take it out..just thought I would play.

Tomorrow is Susan's birthday so perhaps Dylan will celebrate with her..

Tired, will be an early night must remember to change the clocks forward.

Betty, regarding the hearts....can you not form them to look like flower petals...or leaves on flower stem. The hearts blend in?

Betty, can you make a couple of the segments in the tail of the dragonfly, into small hearts?

Betty, you know how sometimes you see a shamrock, and the clovers are heart shaped? To make a flower with those heart shaped petals. AND remember, they do NOT have to be red they could be white, pink, green, purple....whatever fits.

Also, another thing I thought of would be a heart...with a smaller heart inside of it....like "Jeff" holding "Julies" heart in his.

Opened the kiln, globs I made blend in beautifully with the round turrel.
When Jeff asked for the piece he said Julie loves dragonflies and butterflies, went downstairs, moved the wings around, omg they make a perfect butterfly..can't wait for morning so I can play with the design.

Betty,not my pieces...I went looking on the internet what my mind was picturing. You could put hearts INSIDE the butterfly wings also as part of their design. You will come up with something perfect.

Also.... a "J" slightly angled....and another backwards....makes a heart. So you have the J & J for jeff and Julie...

With that..I am going to bed.

Mary, big big hugs. We have the same issue here with "The child". She moved out last Wednesday...I have heard from her once and that was to ask if her cell phone was shipped here. Not even a text message from her. DS said today "well, she doesn't get paid til Thursday...so she will be needing gas money, she will come around then." He is another one....so so skating on thin ice, and when the "intervention" starts...he will bolt. He is only 18...no job, no money. I honestly keep waiting for the Sheriff to call or show up at the door to give me bad news. SO, not so sure about all that will work out.

Earlier in the week I had made two "gift baskets" for a chinese auction that was held today. I went down to the fund raiser and saw a couple "friends" and put a few tickets in for a couple baskets....and pretty much said "sorry I have other obligations" and headed for the door. Hard to explain the situation...but I felt way out of place with what used to be very very close friends. Regardless....it was for a very good cause and a young lady in need. So I hope they did well with the fund raising.

Tomorrow if I have time, will draw out with I am thinking with the "J & J" design. Perhaps your jewelry designs could be made in it. Oooooh, another idea! lol

I am wide awake and no I need to get to bed. Tomorrow is another busy day, but my mind won't go to sleep tonight.

You know, much the same with some of my old friends,mthere is a time where you bond like sisters, then life happens and you all move on..sometimes you meet and it is like gabbed yesterday, other times you are wondering what on earth did you ever have in common..think it's seasons in our lives..like winter just ending and spring upon is there are as many changes in our lives..hurts when you come face to face with it. Was difficult I'm sure after donating to the cause, going and then not feeling comfortable enough to stay..perhaps it's more to do with the stress you are under??

leprosy. Mind you, we were Maid of Honor in each others wedding, first there to see new babies when we lived nearby, the 2:00 a.m. phone call when you needed a friend. But yes, things change.

Did you all hear me shouting Yippee last night? DH had told me earlier in the day he really fancied a lamb chop. I rushed over to the wee local Saturday Farmers' market and got some loin lamb chops. Not only did he eat his lamb he also ate the mashed taters , mixed veggies and mint sauce.This morning he also ate 2 freshly baked Blueberry/Buttermilk muffins. The fact he did this willingly without me cajoling him means a lot to me. I know he can't be expected to eat like that every day but it sure did make me happy.

Soooo glad to hear Warren's eating of his own volition! and lamb is good for you, too! Not a lot of fat, which can be hard on the tummy, so maybe that's why he liked it?!?!

Very much same weather here, in high 50ths..actually grabbed my wallet to go next door for bread, set wallet down and started to pick up branches for the fire pit..no more than got a handful did Greg and Melanie droop in..they were out walking the digs..Greg brought a cd of His snowmobile trip in Newfoundland..wow and double wow, pictures were breathtaking..said they snowmobiles in areas never walked by man..got odd the machine and was about shoulder deep in snow..said it was a trip in a lifetime and would do it again . Just listening to him made me feel good...he works so hard, always doing for others that doing something for himself and enjoying it made me want to shout.

Melanie works Fternoon shift this week..Noah and Kyle are in Meaford at Melanie's mom and dad so Greg will be fending for himself..said he'd come for supper for a few nights..I'll enjoy having one on one time with him.

Tell you, it will be double the effort this year picking up all the tree branch debris from the yard. Nice to see gardens but this year I'm seeing how much work is ahead of me..drats...

Ohh little teardrops are in bloom..imagine..not sure how the survive the sun.

Home from church and errands - got some leftover ham, scalloped potatoes, and veggies from the Dinner last night (2nd day fundraiser for the church - leftovers!)
I finished ironing on my name/year on the quilt blocks for swap.
OH, and DG admin sent me a Happy Birthday email - I don't think I've ever gotten an email from an online group before - was nice.

Well you can't ask for better than that Susan!! Add the no cooking supper and it's a perfect day.
