ohhh thought I'd move us over
We came from here:
http://davesgarden.com/community/forums/t/1244202/
What kind of room will you visit today???
It's a sunshine day, you will need a heavy jacket as it is cold..maybe some snowboots so you can help me gather fallen branches from the storm! Ahhh maybe Judy can get the firepit lit and we can have hot chocolate / sing along and get warm..
who is in???
Best/Worse/What did I learn today?? visit with friends..
I'm first!!! hahahaha lalalalala!!
Betty the guy who caused the wreck and didn't stop doesn't care if there are injuries or not, he's probably wanted for something or doesn't have insurance and only an idiot would drive like that anyway. That would have been bad if that crate would have hit that truck in the windshield. I told Dave even though this wreck isn't any of his doing he has to always always always make sure whatever he is hauling is strapped down beyond good. he's always getting mad at these idiots who don't strap their load down, it has to be strapped. Our friend on the motorcycle said that after he almost ran over him he took an old logging road and hid in the woods. That's why the cops couldn't find him. Hot Springs is a very tight knit town and it took us all of 2 minutes to find out his name and where he lives. Everyone knows someone, and someone knows everyone. I love it there!
HA! My car and Dave's new car has the same size tank and gets the same gas mileage, however, if he's going to take his truck to work, like he did today, then I'm taking the new car and giving mine a well deserved rest! I absolutely LOVE his car!!!!
That you are...are things quieter for you Crissy at work?
Just waiting for Melody (co-worker in another office) to answer her telephone so I can switch calls to her house ..hungry..
Will head over to the mall, guess who didn't have her wiper blades up all weekend, turned them on not realizing at some poing that we had freezing rain..oh/oh need new blades are needed, rubber came off.
Betty, you just got new blades when you were over here with me a few weeks ago!! Our "winter blades" don't seem to stick like the other ones did...
My next few weekends are hectic, but I am still planning on catching up to you last weekend in March for the craft show.
LK that is a pretty hummer.
Morning all, temps are starting to rise..oh happy days..
Had such a headache last night, got home and went to bed..this morning back on schedule, think its the weather, ups/downs ..too many changes.
Just cleaned up craft room, girls are coming to paint today..by tonight the sewing maching and stained glass tools will be out again..I'm on a mission to finish unfinished projects.
Debbie, was nice getting home and hearing your voice mail..made me feel missed and loved! I should do the same for all who have gone missing of late, make sure they are okay.
Yes, I did replace a wiper blade when last visited with you..bad me, guess I hadn't turned the wipers off, didn't realize that we had a touch of freezing rain so once I started the car, wipers started to pull away and rubber came off..my fault for sure.
Garbage day, best I get a move on
too funny, you all send out DG alert because I go missing for a few hours...been sitting here all morning looking for someone to gab with..nope, you all go missing..
Im sorry Betty. I have been trying to do some cleaning before I allow myself on the computer...if not, Iwill sit here all day and get NOTHING done!
I am excited it is supposed to be near 40 today...and the rest of the week in mid 50s! Excitement for going outside and not freezing.
Are you feeling any better Debbie?
You have a young student coming for March break this weekend right?
Know the feeling about getting things done, I was thinking of going through the entire house and dust/wash everything you can fit in the zinc by doing a room at a time..a must before gardening time.
Hard to believe when driving in this morning in a storm (Elmvale to Barrie) that we could possibly reach 48-50 degrees tomorrow and Thursday!!! boy, do I need the windows washed, think I will hire Cathy to do them. Regardless of how clean your house is when windows aren't clean it looks dirty..
Found 3 ovals when I was cleaning the other day, spent the morning thinking out what I would like to do with them..they are frosted glass..designed an outer edge to be incorporated in stained glass piece and I'll do oil painting of flowers on inside frosted glass..that took care of this morning..going out to pizza buffet at lunch then I must find something to do come afternoon... lonely...lol
Oh Betty, I can see morning glories on that, and butterflies! That is just so pretty.
Yes, Shane is coming home this weekend....home for 10 days. I am not excited about it at all....he has just gotten to that stage where he doesn't care...he is 18 and will do what he wants. What are you to do, ground him? Well, he has no use of either of our cars...especially mine. Tried talking to DH (not dear) and he just can't parent at all...and I think that is what hurts me more than anything.
hardest part of raising kids I find (if memory serves me correctly) is holding a strong front as parents in front of them..regardless of our differences in how to raise kids, NEVER EVER did we discuss them in front of the kids, otherwise we would have lost the battle..we stood strong then talked about it later..
they also would try (because Roger was on the road a lot) to play one against the other, I'd say no or yes, Roger would say yes or no, Roger would say 'what did your mom say' or I'd say what did your dad say and we'd stick to it!!!!
Can understand why you are upset...hard time for all in transition between teen years and adulthood..
morning glories it is...
Betty, that is the problem....he does not talk or discuss. He puts blinders on and walks away.
I'm here, busy all morning! Sheesh!!
(((((((((((((((((Debbie))))))))))))))))))) that sucks. He's worthless in that department, well, ok I'm going to be nice now... LOL
Shane is at a very tough age, a kid in an adult body, wanting to do kid things but needing to do adult things.
Dave got an atta boy at work yesterday!!!! Since his 26yo boss Ethan threatened his job last Thursday, and he told Dave that he can't take sick leave whenever he wants, and Dave reported this abuse to his boss in CA, his boss showed up yesterday WITH the CEO of the company from Wisconsin. The CEO told Dave that he promises it will get better, just hang in there, and he's doing a fantastic job keeping up with everything. The boss from CA agreed and said don't worry about what Ethan says, you can use your sick time whenever you want, that's why it's yours (Dave already knows this but it's nice to have it confirmed with the bosses.) They were all eating lunch and Ethan came into the break room and asked something very derogatory to Dave in front of the two bosses, "Why did you do it this way instead of this way Dave???" Dave came back with this 10 minute long explanation of why it was done the way he did it, what happens to the product if you don't do it that way, and that's probably the reason their product keeps getting returned from Auto Zone. He said Ethan just stood there completely stumped, and Ethan has been with the company for 10 years, Dave's been there 4 months. I wish I had been a fly on the wall for that one. Ethan is constantly trying to throw Dave under the bus, guess he feels like his job is being threatened or something, can't imagine why he would feel that way!
HELLO to all you non-posters!!!
Afternoon everyone. I am here, trying to get quilt blocks, and strips ready to mail, and clean house. The dust here in Texas is terrible, dust one day, next day, you can't tell I touched anything!
Crissy, good for Dave to stand up for what he knows is right.
OMG Crissy, guess Dave caught on so quickly that Ethan is terrified he'll be working for Dave shortly..glad the employers were within earshot..Pat on the back for Dave....
LindaKay, I don't have the dust but have furries / furnace, same thing, always dust..every morning I do the coffee table and furniture in living room..if you came in I'm sure you would be thinking I never dust.
Debbie, one day Paul will have a wake up call and have to deal with it as will Shane..
let's hope it's not too late then.
Amen to that Betty. And Amen to dust too!
Dave's quite the character. Before I tell you this story I'll tell you that I've moved my car out of the garage and put his car in it, since it's the new one. Saturday and yesterday he took his truck to work.
This morning I woke up from a dead sleep hearing this light but quick tap tap tap tap tap.......... tap tap tap tap tap tap tap....... I thought, "Why is there a woodpecker pecking on my siding at 5:30 in the morning???" Then realized, "Oh it's Dave tapping!!" So I got up and let him in. He said, "I forgot my keys" grabbed them and headed toward the back door again. We were both standing in the kitchen and I asked, "Why don't you take your car?" He said, "Because it's parked in the garage." I said, "So." He said, "Well I don't want the garage door to wake you up?" I looked at him and he said, "Oh! You're already up!"
So laughing Crissy..shaking my head!!!!
I went back to bed shaking my head!
It is almost as bad as waking you up to see if you were sleeping..
25 minutes left to go...wish there was no t.v. bingo tonight, sure wouldn't mind going to bed!!!
LOL!!!! That's great Betty!
MEN!!! Crissy, that is too funny!
Betty, hope you picked up those lucky cards for Bingo tonight!
Already home, bath water running, bingo cards photo-copied so dabblers can be used..turkey dinner awaits (isn't left overs grand)...
Should make bingo night a pj party, seems that is the dress code every Tuesday night that Ann comes over for bingo..
I made chicken apple sausages with scalloped potatoes....and applesauce. Would rather have your Thanksgiving dinner!
I'd gladly trade you Debbie, scalloped potatoes a favorite.lcanyou share your applesauce chicken recipe..I bought a bad of frozen skinless chicken breasts..might have to cook something for lunch Saturday seeing I'll have a house full for 'soap' workshop...turkey dinner, turnip and trimming still n refrigerator, might have to skip DIL/din....don't ask!!!
Drats need to come your side of the border for excedrin migraine..maybe Suzanne can ask Lenny to pick some up for me..
I have the same dust problem here. Crissy to funny about Dave. PJ bingo is agreat idea Betty. Good luck tonight.
Betty, the sausage is pre-made package. There is one brand that is Emril Lagasse. I get this one at Sams club. It taste really good if you cook the sausage (which is made from ground chicken & apples) and slice an apple in it when cooking. I have been using apples for flavoring for some time...even adding some to my Stuffing recipe. The kids loved it.
Betty am I allowed to mail the Excederin across the border??
Thanks Debbie, just spoke to Suzanne, Lenny drives transport in USA..will stop and get me some..only thing that helps..
Wonder if Costco would have Emmil products?
Waiting for Ann..
Jeff just called and asked me to send photo's of 2 stained glass pieces..just painted their living room, wonder why he needs photo's. Lol
8pm seems forever to come..
Anybody hear from Dianne and Barb..usually a hi every few days?? Starting to fret!
Dianne is battling a massive headache....I hope she is getting a nap in.
Any luck on the bingo?
Sorry to hear about Dianne's headache. Tell her we said hello, and to get better soon!
No winnings..
Debbie, tell Dianne she and Warren are never very far from my thoughts.
Jeff called again, asked if I would do stained glass piece for Julie's birthday..said its on the 6th..I said, like the 6th tomorrow?? He started to laugh, no the 6th of April...sigh of relief..
He want butterflies or dragonfly...give me something to research tomorrow.
Off to bed!!
Almost lost ya'll so I'd better chime in. Just still week #2 from H. 1/2 way through... Will be so glad when tomorrow is over....
(HUGS)
Mary
Mary, I am battling the same thing. I have a feeling come the weekend it is going to get worse.
I am holding on for good weather...supposed to be 50's tomorrow and I have so many errands to do.
Dianne took some headache meds and was going to get some sleep while Warren is resting.
Morning all, think weatherman might be right on target, let the furries out and it feels like spring, balmy..Frankie Flowers says high winds though...just heard Buffalo news and they said already its 47 degrees! Maybe I should shuffle off to Buffalo for the day. Lol
Mary, things can only get better..you are mid point in the week!
Debbie thanks for the update on Dianne...those headaches are pure h*€ l...
LindaKay, what is up with Dylan?
Have to make a run to Penetang this mornimg, Suzanne is leaving her car for repair so best I get a move on..
Waving to all

Heather went in for an ultra sound Monday, she was told Dylan is about 9&1/2 pounds, and if she does not deliver by next Thursday, they will induce her. I am hoping the full moon tomorrow work it's magic tomorrow? Both of her kids were 9 pounds plus at birth, so this one looks like it is keeping the tradition. She was told that at this stage the babies gain at least 1/2 pound a week. If that is true, he should be about 10 pounds next week.
Good morning y'all!
LK did she deliver these large babies? I have a friend who has one son, he's 6 now, and he was 10lbs at birth and they wanted her to deliver and she said H*^* no, I ain't pushing no 10lb baby out of this, you're giving me a c-section!!! LOL!!!!
Dianne get to feeling better soon!!
Well I'm going to get to work here, got lots to do today!
Yes, she delivered them naturally, no C section!
Think I'd be opting for a 'c' section as well Crissy..wouldn't be looking forward to the birth at all..maybe poor Dylan is thinking the same lol
yikes, wouldn't you know Dr. is away today..haven't been feeling the best, headache city..finally after we ate, she followed me over to get blood pressure done..not the worse..systolic = 210 and Diastolic = 95 and pulse = 66
if I'm not feeling better tomorrow, think I will stay home and rest!
