Wow Deb.. Spring Break already ? Ours is first week of April. Please please take it easy....sounds like you all have a lot on your plate (as is the norm) .... Sure wish you guys could get a break.

We have hummers at the feeders I put out yesterday!

Oh Linda, I am so jealous. We have snow at the feeder!

Somethings wrong. Betty hasn't been on since early yesterday....I came down here in the middle of the night and checked also.

Betty, sure hope you post soon? Let us know your OK. Does anyone have a number for her?

She hasn't posted since 6:30 a.m. yesterday.

I will see if I can find her number, I did have it. But I don't have the number at the office.

Well,I called....no answer.... and apparently what I have is the work number as I got the machine. It said "I am either away from my desk or on another call". Left name and number, so hopefully someone from there will call if there is something wrong.

I can't seem to find her home number, but am going to keep looking.

morning....sorry, meant to post this morning

Yesterday was so quiet on the thread I thought I'd take a break as well..worked 14 solid hours and finished the christmas quilt I was doing for Suzanne, in fact, so tired of seeing it I gave it to her this morning..she's thrilled!


Cooked turkey dinner, called Darlene and Ann..Darlene could come over and Ann was in the middle of a project..she just lives down the street so I told her to come eat and leave..lol thank goodness you can talk to friends like that..I SOOO wanted yesterday to be the last day on the quilt that she understood..have enough to feed 8 more people.

Had a few really bad nights, nightmares..was getting concerned as well hadn't heard from Greg, called his house and nobody was home to get update..Woke up at 4am and told myself I could not get up that early, dozed off and only woke up when the telephone rang at 7am..woke to a 'happy birthday mom' was Greg, he was just the other side of Montreal, still has about 7 hr. drive..apologized because he didn't call on my birthday but no service up in the mountains. Will feel much better once he is home. looked at the clock and zippididoo, talk about rushing..realized I didn't fill up, was -14 and the tank door of the car frozen, can't blame it..

Got to work, and guess because of high winds power lines at the corner were down, actually Saturday they said they were on fire and burnt some of the pavement, no hydro till early this a.m. so no heat...fingers were numb, had 3 coffee's just to warm up.

Pulling a Judy, she celebrates birthdays all year round, think I am as well..lol

Suzanne came in, she's feeling slightly better, tonsils acting up..gave me a card with $100 to put towards the new outdoor settee I want, nice of her and the family.

Darlene, she is giving me a trip to Buffalo..accommodation, gas and $$$ for treats..think I'm spoilt right???



Now back on track, will go read the posts and come back and chat.

sewing machine will be put away for a month or so..want to do 3 window panels as Christmas gifts and while I'm on a mission time to do them..just found kayak pattern, Jeff would like that

Snowing here and cold. Not complaining looks so pretty.
Took the kids to see the Lorax yesterday and movie theatre was packed.

Hi everyone else!!! Glad to see you post Bev! Debbie so sorry it's crazy around there, I gotta ask what Shane did, didn't he stay up at the college this weekend?

I had a busy busy weekend, Dave finally got the Civic, OMG it's like driving a computer, it's insane and fun all at the same time!! Saturday Dave worked and I was elected to help coordinate a surprise birthday party for my friend's 33rd, then went back home and did laundry and baked her her zucchini bread, Dave got into a hit and run on his way home from work on the interstate Saturday afternoon, apparenlty this dude in a Ford F150 Harley Davidson Edition was tailgating Dave on the freeway and when he went to pass him in the right lane he bumped Dave's bumper then took off without stopping, which only left a tiny scrape and ding on our truck, but this 200 pound metal crate Dave was hauling got caught up in the wind draft and it flew out of the truck and landed in the middle of the freeway, bounced a few times and ended up taking out the right front quarterpanel of this kids brand new Dodge Ram truck, probably did some $7000 - $10,000 worth of damage. Dave had 4 witnesses saying that he was rear-ended and it was a hit and run, the officer who took the report said it's a no fault accident because the person who is at fault ran. This kids wife got the description of the truck and the description of the driver and it's all in the report. Dave brought the kid, Justin, home to our house with him and he showed me pics of his truck then Dave took him home, turns out he lives about a mile from us. All of this said, the kid called our insurance to file a claim against Dave. My Special Agent friend just said that it's ok, it's a no fault accident and therefore it sucks to be him. Dave wants to pay for half his deductible so I told him to take $250 to him this evening, get a receipt that he accepted it, and hopefully that will stop any lawsuits.

After this drama Dave needed a drink so we went out, I had to go deliver the zucchini bread to my friend anyway, we were telling our acquaintances about his wreck and one of our friends said, "I saw that truck, at about 3pm on Hwy 70?" Dave said Yeah! Our friend said, "Yeah, he almost ran me over on my motorcycle as I was coming in to work! Now that I know he's wanted for a hit and run I'll file a report on his ass and tell them to link the two together!" Right after that someone we don't know came up and said, "I know who that is, he's a SOB and told Dave where he lives and his name, so Dave's supposed to tell the cop that took the report this info so they can go have a chat with him.

Sunday Dave went fishing all day so I was busy doing laundry and about 100 other miscellaneous chores BLAH!

Don't you just hate it when the boss comes in and gives you work lol

Judy, so sorry to hear about Julia and Anthony breaking up, who knows, they may take a break then find they can't do without each other..Anthony has been part of your family for so long you must miss him .. what a sweetie that Steve got you up and rolling on the computer..we sure did miss you.

Sometimes Judy, leaving sewing when you hit a snaffoo is best, all of a sudden light comes on and what you thought was a problem is no longer..Jacob is handsome, no wonder the ladies are asking him out. Oh/oh, how bad did Sabrina have to be to get grounded from no car??? lol

Laura, your kids are now back in school now right? what project are you working on, come on, share/share/share, I could now take on a new project, but, not before I finish the 5 thread catchers sitting on my table..lol

Crissy you have been busy! Sorry to hear about the accident.

Wow Crissy, that is quite something, 'hit and run' even if no personal injury, actually, how would he even know there wasn't not sticking around to find out. Still don't like 'no fault insurance' seems when all is said and done it still goes against you!

How often will you be taking over Dave's new vehicle, know I would, I'd say 'need to save on gas this week' and take advantage of driving a new car..don't you love the smell.. are you cooking fish tonight for dinner?

Yep, into another week and no Dylan..lordy he wanted to be born so many times and look at him now, being stubborn. Heather is feeling ok though?

Ahhh Debbie, feel loved with your checking up on me..will d-mail you my office and home number..had so hoped you wouldn't be stressed now that you've an empty nest..guess it will take a bit of adjustment for the kids and yourself. Maybe you need me to drive over one Saturday to give you big hugs..can't be this Saturday, soap making day, my house will smell so nice once the workshop is over. Will bring you one, what is your favorite scent!!!

LindaKay, meant to add that the only hummers I'll see until May/June will be humans humming that spring has arrived.
