She is still in the hospital, they have not induced her yet, they are now saying she may Pre-eclampsia. Something to do with her blood count, and high blood pressure, so they still could induce her any time now, they are just watching her blood count.
Did I say I hate waiting???
Best/Worse/What did I learn today? Chat with friends..
Betty don't feel guilty, you have to take care of yourself!
Dave gets his car delivered to his work today!!!!! FIIIIIIIIINALLY!!!!!!!
Branson, MO was hit with a tornado last night right down the tourist district. Took out a bunch of theaters, hotels, the Walmart, the mall, and restaurants.
LK that's a big baby, I'm surprised they haven't induced. Were her others big?
I'm super busy again, don't know how this happens, and we're having birthday lunch today! WOO HOOO Italian food!!
LK What's Pre-eclampsia?
Pre- eclampsia is the high blood pressure and too much fluid in the body. I had that with my first. She is in good hands being at the hospital.
Drive safe!!!
Betty, yes she has to sign a lease. We are about to pull out.....3 full to the brim vehicles, which includes my van with all seats removed in the back.
Won't be back til late....
Ya'll behave!
Debbie
I'm having Italian food as well Crissy..
Yep, client just came in and said weather not the best so might head out.
Dave is excited I'm sure about new vehicle..did you say he's keeping the truck?
Heard about Branson, not the best of news..system is crossing a wide range of states and provinces.
Yes we're keeping the truck, we have to have a truck. He is and he drove me batty this morning, trying to help me get ready created more of a hassle than was necessary, then after we finally got in the car he told me how to drive all the way there, he only works 5 minutes from me. By the time I dropped him off I was about to pull my hair out, good grief how did I ever manage in life before I met him???
No, Branson is tore up bad.
Go home Betty, get out of there before the weather gets really bad.
Sorry to hear about all the damage in Branson!
Lol Crissy, topical man...
Home safe, watching it blow and am pleased to be in the house and not on the road or office..think pj's are in order ..bowl of soup and maybe some sewing to pass the afternoon otherwise I'll lay on couch and sleep and not put my hours to good use
Yeah!! So glad you went home!!!
If anyone wants some entertaining reading, here's how my morning went:
We all have a system when we get ready to go somewhere, right?? Well Dave was right in the middle of mine! He's an ex-body builder so he's very into his muscles. He's been doing A LOT of physical labor at work so he's all muscular right now, every 5 minutes he was coming into my bathroom "Look at this muscle, look at that muscle" OMG I'm trying to get ready. I had turned my tea kettle on so I could make my coffee, it had just started to simmer ever so slightly, I always let it heat up to a boil so it stays warm til about 10:30 in an insulated mug. He hears it starting to do something and turns it off. I yelled, "Don't turn off the water!" He said, "But it's steaming!" I want it boiling!!! He turned it back on, then while making his lunch he's right in my way. ggrrrrr, got through that, had the Weather Channel on as always, they were showing some damage of Branson so we were watching that, he kept wanting me to play frame by frame of the radar, so I did then I wasn't doing it right, I finally got disgusted and threw the remote on the bed and told him that I have to get ready, I don't have time for that. I was blow drying my hair and he came in to 'assist' with that. We Finally got in the car and on the way to his work he pulled down his visor to look in the mirror at himself, all in the middle of telling me how to drive. I kept thinking, "There's a reason this man was sent to me, right???"
LK - saing prayers for Heather & the baby!
Take care driving, Debbie - by the time you get this, I would guess you're finished unpacking the vehicles. Did you unpack into the apartment too? I hope you left it for her to do...................
LOL Crissy - how like a Man to interfere in things - only things done his way are Right, right?!?!?! LOL
We're waiting on our furnace service man from the electric company. They're offering a maintenance "deal"
I'm Almost finished the books for the library. I have one box to bring home (audios and reference books - some will be multiples) and then I'm FINISHED. Saturday we are having a "work crew" to sort them and put them on the shelves. So looking forward to having this done, then I have to do some cards for the catalogue binder........
Anyone remember the Monkee's group? Davy Jones just passed away from a heart attack.
Oh NO!!! That sucks LK.
I have an LP of Davy Jones'........ one of the songs is something about his Father's Tie........
Sorry to hear he passed away..........
OK crissy, have you thought of investing in a stun gun? bet you'd only have to use it once or twice.
My money got deposited and I am gradually going down the list of items to buy and errands that require money. the weather is clear and I'm not in a hurry. bought about $30 worth of books at goodwill and got my hair cut. will have lunch, then file at small claims (i think I'll feel much better after that unpleasant chore is done). the way things have been going I'll probably have to make separate trips for the small claims hearing and the knee surgery. thank God for tony. We get along well and work well together but it's a semi-vacation for him when I'm gone. this time I left him with lots of potting soil and containers and my huge seed collection as well as several shelves where he can put containers and they will be fairly safe from the animals. told him to have fun.
hugs, katie
LOL Katie, "told him to have fun" And a stun gun, what a great idea!! Maybe he would listen to that!
hmmmmmmm maybe we should ALL have stun guns for the men in our life............ whether nephews, DS, neighbour boys, DH, DSILs, etc............
hmmmm need a BIG one for the President and Prime Ministers...... LOL
I keep telling hubby, if he does not stop picking on me I was going to get a cattle prod! Little bit longer reach than a stun gun!
Betty, did you take a nap?
Here I is...did some sewing, then in a blizzard off to Midland to pick Kyle up and then off to pick Noah up..just cooking din/din, don't want to burn it so off I go!
Cattle prong sounds good to me..how about a branding iron to show them who is boss
Aren't we sweet tonight. Lol
I've got your blizzard!!! First measureable snow since Oct!!! Norm is home safe and sound so we are hunkering down too... Stay safe everyone...
Heather is still in the hospital, patiently waiting on the Dr. to make a decision!!! She is not a happy camper. She has high blood pressure, and she was told she needs to have the baby, but waiting on a decision on when or how! Either induced or C section. The ultra sound revealed that Dylan is 8.5 pounds, and she is 39 weeks pregnant. He has cooked enough, Grandma say's get it done! LOL!
Brrrr just took boys home, Noah is such a sweetie, got out of the car, gave me a big kiss and an I love you and a let's do this again real soon grandma! Lol. Half snow/half freezing rain...glad they live nearby.
Greg sent me photo's of his snowmobiling in the maintains..gorgeous looking..so glad he is having a good time!
Barb,mNorm will not have to go out tomorrow if weather is bad will he?
Keep telling you LindaKay, Dylan says he's not coming out to play Neil march 2nd. Lol
Now it's bath time and bed
Hello To All !
Thanks you Betty for the "Shout out".... it has been and will be a very difficult 2 weeks at work...they have us all doing a "project" and none of us like it... plus we are chained to our desks this week and have seminars all next week.
Thank God (thank you God!) that family life is not stressful as of late....or I would not make it....
The whole dept is unhappy and four got really chewed out this week....Thankfully I didn't make the cut.....
LK - So excited for you and Dylan... who is "more ready" you or Heather ?
Are you having 80* high's as we are? (Shhh.... don't tell those poor folks battling a blizzard right now)
Please Barb, Dianne, Thea, Betty Etc... be careful in that bad weather.
Susan - you're gonna love the laptop... now you can take us camping with you and Bob !
Katie - You crack me up! Stun Gun! Sometimes I think if we could all get together Katie would be the life of the party !
Crissy - can't stand it when the Hubs thinks the world revolves around him.... mine does it all the time...
Deb - I agree - make the Child do the loading and unpacking.... you're not ready for all that since the surgery ... please take it easy.... hard to keep that mother instinct from kicking in.....How is Shane doing?
I'll try to pop back in a few...((HUGS))
Mary
LOL Mary - I never thought of that use for the laptop........ but YES I could take y'all with me......... hmmmmmmm will have to think about that. When I get away, I like to Really get away, and sitting inside with my 'puter isn't really camping now, is it?!?! There is a laundry room with internet access, and I could play on my email, etc...........
LOL Susan....
Charge up that Battery and we can all sit together by the campfire and sing Kum-bay-yah.... (that's an old Girl Scout tune... will be interesting to see who else knows what I'm talking about !)
I'm voting for some mountains.... OH! When can we go ! Are we there yet ? Are we there yet ?
Kum bay yah, My Lord, Kum bay yah..............Someone's singing My Lord
Come and enjoy all the mountains you want!!
Mary, it was 84 here this afternoon! But I won't tell any one! LOL!
Well, still no Dylan, Dr.'s can't decide if they want to force him or not. She will be examined again in the morning, and if she is still dilated, they will maybe make a decision then???
Isn't it frustrating when you post and the post goes "POOF" !
arrrrrrgh on "poof-ed" posts!!!!!!
Morning, daybreak is near, snowing, not blizzard like conditions so guess its a workday! Do get to leave 1/2 hour later later than usual, head to penetang to drop off some documents then head to work..likely won't get there till 9:30-10:00' bit of a change..
Got to tell you all, Dylan is waiting so he'll celebrate with Aunty Betty, tomorrow is his arrival! One more day of waiting LindaKay and Heather..
Mary, wow, does not sound as though your work situation is not getting much better..shaking my head, so very stressful. Bet you are up each morning debating wether or not to use up a sick day.
Ohh just cancel buses in this region?? My grandkids will enjoy a 2nd snow day in a row..will have to keep listening to the weather..police advising if you don't have to go out DON'T..hmmm
Debbie, bet you are exhausted ..sleep in if you can..only furries now so shouldn't be a problem..did you find time to organize her apartment or will you leave her decorate herself..bet she's on cloud nine!
No sleeping in, totally exhausted....Its a 'down" and elevate day for me.
No snow, nothing but a drizzle of rain although yesterday we had sleep & rain.
Be back after I wake up a bit and have some coffee......I am in my "shell" right now, just a bit stressed.
Debbie
At work, wouldn't have come in but Suzanne did so decided I could not be a coward!
Wasn't bad as long as you kept a little distance from vehicle ahead of you.
Mom just called, she and Jim were to come on Saturday so I could cut her rag quilt blocks and Jim could put them through the accuquilt for ragging..seems that her youngest brother, wife younger than I just found out she has cancer so they need to go to a specialist and will not visit with mom tomorrow, she asked if I was working from home tomorrow, said likely so they will come tomorrow rather than Saturday..suits me..always nice to get something you are not looking forward to behind you right? lol
Ah Debbie, out of your 'shell', you are so loved and admired, now we want to be there on good days as well as bad days...
Sneezing here..whose cold did I catch?
Good afternoon
The Lord blesses me every day - today we got Given a laptop. Our friend, who has his own computer company came by to "lend" me the laptop and after he left he called and said "I forgot to tell you - the laptop is yours, enjoy!"
I was so flabbergasted that I started to cry and thanked him. He said "enjoy, goodbye", cuz he knew I was crying with joy and couldn't say anything........
Now I can do the presentation at the Church with no worries......... btw - he added MS Office 2007 on it and took until 2am this morning to do it. What a Sweetheart. I'm thanking God for him..........
Betty, you just got ove a cold, hope your not getting another one?
Heather is being released from the hospital today, since Dylan is only about 8&1/2 pounds, plus she has new asthmas meds, to help getting oxygen to Dylan. She was told if she has not delivered in about 10 days, they will induce her. Sure wish the Dr.'s would make up thier minds!
OMG to both of you...
Congratulations for having earthly angel Susan..overwhelming for sure..you know, it doesn't have to be something as big as a laptop, just something unexpected, brings so much joy in your life..wonderful!
Let's see LindaKay, 10 days would be closer to Mary's date now wouldn't it..still not counting tomorrow out though!
Went for chinese, stopping at stained glass studio for some supplies, home, hot bath and an early night. Will work from home tomorrow, makes for a nice long weekend again..getting used to them, won't be able to work a 5 day week anymore lol
Slushy out there but storm is over
Wow, LK - ONLY 8 1/2 lbs????? I would think that's a healthy size.....
Betty - I forgot that you're a Pisces baby too, like Bob & I lol
So you're March 2nd, Bob is March 6th, and I'm March 11th lol We should get together and celebrate LOL
Let's add Dylan to the "mix" lol
Surely Susan he'll hit one of those days..think our Mary is the 10th
Betty, are you March 2nd or March 11? the "DG" has you listed as 3/11
March 2nd. Debbie..not sure why they have me the 11th. Think someone told them last year it was incorrect. Doesn't matter, just another day.
Were you able to rest a bit?
