He doesn't seem to realize that you can get hurt playing golf as well as pitching.
Sports Talk!! Part 8 Spring Training Edition
especially while playing golf with greasy fingers from eating chicken :)
& beer in the other hand.
Went to see the Boulders play last night. Amazing game against Jose Canseco and the Worcester Tornadoes. Their pitcher had a perfect game through 7 1/3rd, but did not make it out of the inning! Boulders came back and won 6-4. Canseco got lots of ribbing.
Sounded like a great game...good pitching, then lots of hitting! Amazed at the Mets....
FINALLY a no-hitter for the Mets! Was not watching the game, but luckily my friend alerted me and I saw the 9th. Saw quite a few one-hitters over the years.
I watched it all! It's like an evil spell has been broken.....although it really was a one-hitter.....Beltran's liner clearly hit the foul line, the ump blew it, but then I'm sure they blew other calls in no hitters as well......
Hubby said he can finally die happy
My stepdaughter's DH is a rabid Mets fan....he was stuck in the Miami airport due to T-storms, and missed the whole game!
it should have been a one-hitter
Spoiler!
The ump had chalk dust in his eyes....thank God......
good one marilyn!
& see the refs for the Celtics game. Pierce fouled out & I guess the calls evened as L.James fouled out, his first time in the playoffs. 2nd overtime, but this time the Celtics won.
I'm rooting for the Celtics, Iris, but they're getting old, & I think the Heat will beat them.....
Someone wrote in the paper 'Enjoy Kevin Garnet while he is still active.' If they had managed the first overtime game (without Paul Pierce) they would be up 3-1. It would be helpful if the refs would let them play (both teams).
I think they start making the calls during the playoffs....usually they are more lenient.....
that was Bob Ryan iris who wrote that in the Sunday Globe. officating has been tough on the celtics in this series.
Hate the Heat, so going for anyone they are playing.
One great reason that I dislike the Heat is that I dislike Pat Riley. I think one reason that Wade missed a 3 pt shot at the end of the game is that he too is tired. they have been setting a double team on him.
Agree on both counts. I m also not convinced James is the real deal at crunch time.
Both James & Paul Pierce had fouled out. That's not what the fans want to see.
I see Boston won again last night. Yay!
old guys can do the same tricks.
One more to go! Same for LA Kings tonight. Put Jersey in their place! ^_^
Go Celts.....and Mets......stayed up through 11, glad I didn't watch the 12th....
Went to Trenton Thunder game tonight cause they played the Mets(Mets won)
The Thunder's mascot took hubby's Mets hat and was "beating" him with it...it was soooooo funny!!!!!!!!
Happy the Mets won, so many of the minor league players are getting called up because of the injuries....
Ouch - Devils routed. Will probably be riots in LA.
Why not? It's a Tuesday....nothing better to do......
Go Thunder. Beat the Heat!
Yes, would love to see the Thunder win......blowout by the Mets....haven't seen one in a long time!
At least the thunder held home court last night. Seeing their energy I don't think the Celtics could have beat them. But Celtics stayed ahead of the Heat for 3 quarters, which considering the shortened & injured roster was a good job.
Yes, great start. Durant just took over.
Hubby is taking the kids and his dad to the Mets game Friday night
Hope they continue their winning ways!
Kent State just eliminated Florida in the College Worls Series. Everyone is happy in Ohio!
Congrats!
Wow - the Mets' RA Dickey is on another planet these days!
Wow! Back to back one-hitters! Unreal.
I rooted for Kent St., Jumper! Yes, I watched the Mets last night, & when I saw the hit I was like "Oh, no, but maybe it will be another one-hitter" I was right!
