It didn't record Kathy so yes and no. I was disappointed there wasn't a new show on but thankful the machine doesn't tape repeats!!! Not a happy camper here last night as Grey's was also a repeat. What is going on?

How did everyone fair with the front that moved through last night? We didn't get it as bad as they predicted but did get some heavy rain. I can do without the thunder and lighting as well as the tornado watch, thank you very much!!!

Got to shower, need to run into the big city today for a few things.

We got some rain but if it was bad, I slept thru it, so all was well. got all my critters. Chickens didn't get blownfrom cedar tree so Charley's world is O.K....

We got rain that froze on contact. And now it is near 40* I don't get it either!!!!

Oh wow, what yucky weather some are having. We are sunny, in the low 60's and VERY WINDY!!

Took Harlee for a walk without Amy. Man she soooo LOVED it. Threw the ball until she got tired then we came home. Then I took Amy for a walk. Boy was I surprised at how well she walks with out Harlee. Harlee pulls, Amy walked right along side of me. But when it came to the ball, lol different story. She would run after it, but wouldn't bring it back, but would come back for a treat. So I need to work on that with her. I can't walk them both at the same time anymore, they are too strong for me and I end up running half the time to keep up. Yea it gets my cardio up, but boy it sure poops me out, lol. Plus I've been having pain on the top of my left foot. it doesn't hurt to walk, it hurts if I sit for awhile then try to walk. I was thinking it might be gout???

Crissy, if I do get to host the 2014 Reunion, you will have to come!! You can be co-host so that we can plan places and things to do!!! You've met these ladies and know what they would be interested in seeing in California!!!!

Cindy it could be a pulled tendon or ligament, especially if you are over-exerting it when you were walking both dogs at the same time. It could be gout, I suppose, but I doubt it, doesn't sound like it but if you're worried you should go to the doc.

OH SWEET!!!! I would LOVE to co-host with you! There is so much stuff to do in CA they would have to stay for at least 2 weeks! LOL!!!

Hey i wanna come to CA. we can do to San Francisco , then Palo Alto to see my mum and dad. then to Santa Cruz to the nude beaches and then to Half Moon Bay to get oysters and more beach's... and ... and .... and ..... oh i tired already from all the walking LOL

Had the aircon on last night. High 70s here again and confusing the plants already. Some plants need a longer dormant period.. I'm afraid I'd be losing more this year :( A bald garden to start all over again.. PERFECT!!! Hmmm!

Sorry for not being on yesterday. I had a cleaning marathon after I last posted that afternoon. Cleaned the bathroom. Wash floor runners.. clean the wash room. Dust all my froggies (Would you believe I have over 60?) Organize DVDs and CDs. Even cooked!!

When Kel got home at 6 a.m, I was still cleaning. Crashed yesterday and slept for hrs. You can say I was on a cleaning overdrive!! It's not often I have the urge to do that. Think it's the Indonesian tea had too much caffeine!! Lol!!

Sue, not all movies that are available in DVDs are available for streaming. But I have put together, from my collection, some foreign movies for you to watch. Take your time.. one of them is JLC.

Marion, I didn't mind the reruns of Greys as I've never seen them!! Shame on me, but I'm catching up. When my favorite CBS reality shows aren't on...I'm more of the Bravo and ID channels. I love the format of "Chopped". This year's Top Chef is sooo lame. I also follow this season's "All Stars Project Runway".

LK, today.. I organize some drawers... throw away clothes that were kept for sentimental reasons.. which is NOT good. Cook, take care of the kids.. and since Kel monopolize the pc when he's home, for R&R I made phone calls to my family in Singapore.

Ok, so our plant zones move because of one mild winter? I don't understand, my zone didn't change. Mild winters happen now and then, two summers ago it didn't break 90* here in Arkansas all summer, then last summer it didn't get below 100* all summer. So what happens if next winter it doesn't get above 30* here in Arkansas all winter, it was almost like that last winter.

Morning everyone! Jaye, your being very quiet this morning!

Can't possibly read all the posts here to catch up... scanned a few, but I just don't have hours and hours to read it all.
Sorry, it's been a few days since I've been here... I'm trying to keep up... but it's hard for me right now.
My step daughter has moved in for a while. Long story, but she's needing my guidance, and I'm treading deep waters here with her. In a nut shell, Her mother is exhibiting tough love (finally), and won't let her move back to her house until she gets a job. A job is something she's never really had, except some temp positions that didn't last long. She ran through her trust fund her grandfather left her, so now she's broke. She's 27 years old, no experience, and all she wants to do is write fantasy novels and play around with a web site she built. So, when she landed on our door step, I found out right away that Don was going to candy coat things for her once again. Had a talk with Don, and told him... THAT AIN'T GOING TO HAPPEN.
So, I've taken over her life... she might just hate me before this is over.
I laid down the rules... tell me if I'm being unrealistic.
She can not stay up all night on the computer, then sleep till 5pm any more.
She has to make a full time job out of finding a full time job.
She is to be out the door ever day by 9am, putting in applications or going to interviews.
She is to research job listings in the evening, for the next days places to apply.
She is to keep this up until she actually has a job offer... not wait on a response from an interview.
PLUS... she is to work at loosing 100 pounds... she's grossly over weight, and an employer will view her as a health risk.
Don and I offered to pay for her gym membership for a while.

So, is that unreasonable?

Anyway... that's what I've been up to.

I'm really excited also... booked my flight for Betty's house this morning. YIPPIE !!! My sister and I are going to Canada !!!!

BJ she sounds smart but a tad on the lazy side. She builds websites and writes fantasy novels, there's some money to be made there, especially building websites. Wonder if her novels could ever get published to pay for college?? I don't think you're being unreasonable at all, but keep in mind that there's no way she's going to need to go out and look for a job like that every day, at first will be fine but within 2 weeks she'll have exhausted it. She needs to find some job at WalMart or fast food or something and use her paychecks for college in IT Web Design so she can work for a company building websites for a living. I tried to get into web building and I haven't made it there yet. I would LOVE to do that!
