fantastic
Christmas decorations 2011
Very intriguing how the ornaments appear and disappear, Allison. I like the snow, also, and of course the addition of music in sync is just the best.
thanks ... being such a dark street helps that Teri.. might have to suck it up and buy more fake snow after the holiday passes
love that video Jen
So nice Allison!!
thank you Ronnie!!
What a great job....I agree with Pixie....just like Santa's Village......
Gets better every year! The Decorating Diva (and Devo) strike again.
Devo.. LOL.. thank you though
hey Victor.. I found a diy for the blizzard tubes.. still looks like it costs around $10 each though.. beyond my understanding of electronics for sure

now I know we are little fish in a big pond with the decorations.. but you guys might want to check this out.. burst my bubble when I sent my video to GMA.. who is hosting a whose lights are better contest... realized there is no way we even come close to some of these homes.. I now just hope to be one of the "other" submissions and get on the air anyway.. LOL

They didn't lose their tree.
aaaaaawwwwwww... yeah that's it
;)
you are too sweet
I was kindly fighting with the town.. after they ran out of money in the budget.. they were trying to tell me it was my tree and not in the easement .. the woman had to come here a couple of times for me to convince her.. but we are on the waiting list again now and just waiting for someone to say here is some money.. might not be until next year though
have to win the lottery to get this kind of stuff.. 1st video is $1000.00.. 2nd is $3000.00

even diy DMX LED lights are not cheap.. you can make any color with them and make pictures on the lights.. almost like a movie.. the sky is the limit if you have the money.. and that's how a lot of these homes have different colored looking lights.. you can change them by the voltage programed in or something like that

can you imagine lining a house in this???.. $42.00 for just 16 feet worth of strip... just nuts!!!

Nuts!
Jen your God bless America house was in the contest on GMA today
as I watched the GB the usa video.. I realized we couldn't even afford to do his tiny bushes in front.. LOL.. the only way we could do something like that is to put 3 sets of lights with each color... and they each have to have a channel for every string.. lets say 15 channels ... for 5 bushes.. just the controller box alone would cost almost $200.00.. add in lights even with my clearance prices.. you are looking at almost $400.00... and you are talking hours and hours of programming.. which I am sure a lot of these people are hiring someone to do that for them
I think most of these people are retired with lots of time on their hands
and also independently wealthy
yes yes.. I have to stay off this site.. going to get me in trouble.. LOL

Found light weight copper sheets on amazon.com, ordered them, we'll see if I can do it.
cool!!!
Good luck, Jen!
Looking forward to mine!!
Love to see them, Jen....
Don't rush me, these things take time!
How do you attach wreaths to the outside of the windows, without having them hang from ribbons attached to the sill?
No rush, Jen. Still have 11 days before Christmas. ^_^
Wood frame windows? Can put a small nail in. Lightweight wreaths can be hung with suction cup hangers.
Jen I hang my wreaths from the inside out. I pull down the top window and put out the wreath that has twine around it and a knot at the top, put them out the window then close it with the twine inside. The knot and the closed window holds them in place.
On the attic window that doesn't open I use one of those stick on hangers on the glass. My husband climbs out the window to hang it though not me!!
Finally took a picture. Still waiting for DH to put up the icicle lights.. Don't think it's going to happen. I might try to do it myself normally but I am getting more scared of heights every year. Also I am expecting and they say your center of gravity is off and you should avoid anything that involves ladders.
I almost missed that, Meredith...YOU'RE EXPECTING?????? congrats! When are you due?
I know, I went back and read that again!!! Woohoo!!! Congrats!! And you better NOT be climbing any ladders.
I missed that too. Congrats, Meredith!
Congratulations. Please stay on the ground.
Randy puts those hooks with the screw end through the siding Jen.. sure not everyone is willing to do that.. our siding is very old..
looks great Meredith!!! Congrats too!!!... no ladders for you my dear!!!
Wahoo! A Meredith Junior is on the way!
Congrats, Meredith and yes please stay off the ladders!!
How exciting Meredith!! When is he/she expected to be born?
congrats meredith!
Congrats Meredith!! When are you due?
Wow, Meredith! What a wonderful surprise for us.....how exciting to have another cutie....and the house looks great, just the way it is!
