Christmas decorations 2011

Thomaston, CT

Pixie....your girls will love that! My grandkids have John Deere ones......Anni drives the best! Jen, sorry your little one is sick!

Southeastern, NH(Zone 5b)

Very nice Jen! Sorry DD is running a fever, hopefully it doesn't get worse and passes.
Thanks for the tips on the tree. I always ask DH not to use the stove when we have a tree and he looks at me like I have three heads and keeps right on making one every night. I have a mister I run near it but I don't think it's enough I need a better humidifier than what I have.

Huron, OH(Zone 5b)

church decorations are up. time to start on our outside ones.

Lexington, MA(Zone 6a)

Since filling out FAFSA and college applications in good shape was a requirement I imposed on my family before decorating, do you think I should just hang dollar bills on our Christmas tree?

Salem Cnty, NJ(Zone 7b)

Heehee.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Will get the decorations out today and start tomorrow. A bit late for me, but was busy getting ready for my son's birthday celebration with the family yesterday. Had a good time but I had WAY too much wine.

Thomaston, CT

The family always looks better then, right? Garret called & wanted to put my tree up today, but I'm waiting another week...it's small enough for me to do it myself, anyway.....

South China, ME(Zone 5a)

Love the living tree Jen.

Mount Bethel, PA(Zone 6a)

Never get tired of those beautiful displays, Jen!

Really special looking, all of them, Jen. Can't beat your innovative ideas!

Salem Cnty, NJ(Zone 7b)

Looks great!!! They will make your brunch very special!

Thomaston, CT

Nice, Jen....lots of work!

(Ronnie), PA(Zone 6b)

They look great Jen! I really like the last one!

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

we have been drooling over that cranberry house for years Jen... wish it wasn't so far

I bought this tool for fixing incandescent lights .. (sorry if I posted it already).. but the crazy thing works.. we had a Joy sign that was buried under 4' of snow last year and 1/2 the Y was out.. made me nuts because there is a mix of twinkle lights & steady in the thing.. ok how am I going to fix that???!!!???.. used the tool took out a light.. clicked it and the rest of the lights came on.. just a few are out now.. too cool and worth the $20.00 if you have a lot of incandescent lights.. or a pre lit tree!!!

granted it didn't work on every dead set we have... but I wouldn't have wasted changing the lights on the deer if I had this thing in prior years

central, NJ(Zone 6b)

I saw that tool in Ace today

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

I was beside myself when it worked.. LOL

Mount Bethel, PA(Zone 6a)

My DH will be so happy with this, Allison!

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

I am bummed we bought all those led lights now.. LOL

central, NJ(Zone 6b)

Seriously that tool is the coolest! I have to get it, section of the prelit "man" tree is out

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Wow - it really works?? Just threw out a couple of more sets.

Thomaston, CT

Put my tree up, but have not decorated it yet....smallest tree I've ever had....

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Still in the middle of decorating the house. Tree comes last. Behind schedule!

(Ronnie), PA(Zone 6b)

All mine are done and my new counter tops came just in time for cookies. They should be ready by Sunday, can't wait!!

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

can't wait to see pictures Ronnie!!!.. we have an ice looking bear.. each light is clipped in place.. the tool worked great on that.. but did not do enough for our spiral trees.. way too many bulbs burned out on it.. Randy ended up pulling apart one and using the bulbs to fix another.. and going to wrap that one with rope light

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Congrats, Ronnie. Can't wait to do that one day.

South Hamilton, MA

We put tree up just a couple of days before Christmas. With all the messing around with the water, they still dry out. Will buy it fairly soon. Being in the garage or on sale in a lot doesn't make much difference. The local education fund sells them.

Thomaston, CT

This is last year's amaryllis that I didn't do a thing to because , of course, I forgot...just started to bloom yesterday!

Second photo of amaryllis, because I can't show my tree....real 'Charlie Brown' tree this year....
