Ooh that turkey looks so good!!! You both did a good job!! I've known of first timers that BURNT theirs. Serious, not golden brown like yours, but black.

Such a pretty quilt LK!! Love it! You could hire a long arm quilter to finish it? But if you need it before Christmas, you might have to do it yourself. That's a big project!

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

I think I am going to cheat and tie it with yarn!

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

That's not cheating, LK. It still requires work!
Maybe you can use a flannel backing, omit the batting, since your weather doesn't get cold enough for a stuffed quilt? Just a suggestion.
That will be easier for you to maneuver under your machine.. and won't require extra hands to pin 3 layers.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

That is a great idea Jaye, I'll see what I can find online.
Morning everyone! Coffee is ready.

Bessemer, AL(Zone 8b)

(Barb) Manchester, NH(Zone 5a)

OMG I will keep you in my prayers jordankittyjo. But be assured that they can perform miracles. My brother had the same thing two years ago and is just fine today.

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

((((((((SIS KATHY))))))))))) Prayers work. You've been in my prayers, and the Lord has been taking care of you. See... He makes sure your aneurism is found.
Barb is right, doctors nowadays are so advance, you'll be well taken care of.
In the meantime, don't you get overexcited with the Iron Bowl game today. Your Crimson Tide will be fine.. better still.. DON'T watch the game!!! Let Michael tape it for you so you can watch it for Christmas!!

Now I know why LK's been quiet. She's been busy with that beautiful quilt. Barb, I wonder which block is yours?

Sue, the wise ones know that the discounts aren't worth it. Black Friday is Anarchy Friday!

Morning everyone. Hope it's not too cold where you're at. It's a comfy low 60s here.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Sis, so glad they found it early too! Sending lots of prayers your way!

We have missed you Judy...
Jaye, I've made so many Christmas blocks over the last three years that I can't tell anymore!!!! I look and I think about six of them were from me but I know it ain't so!!!!! What a beautiful job of putting them together Linda. I used mine to make my placemats for the Meals on Wheels. I made twenty so I know I have more blocks - most likely downstairs.

Judy good to see you. you have been missed.
T im is home
got lots to catch up on .... except one thing ... oh well a girl can dream.

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Judy, have a good time off!! Hope you drop in more often, I miss you.

Barb, that's one thing I don't have. Christmas blocks. The only ones I made were for Janice for the swap.
I have plenty of orphan blocks, you just gave me an idea on how to use them up!

Sue, you got dmail.

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Marion's latest news.
"Things are not any better, in fact, not a very good report today. She is unable to bring up anything, they did say she has mucus that she is unable to expel. A doctor told her nurse today that she is trying to leave us. The skin test for TB is negative but the infectous disease doctor said we have to wait until the blood test comes back before we can stop wearing all the "grab". They are keeping her comfortable with the morphine. Today she wasn't interested in eating very much and it was difficult to drink with a straw. What will be, will be it is out of our hands. Sue and I just pray she is not in any serious pain and can go peacefully if it is time. They did do a chest xray today so we should have a better understanding how the pneumonia is doing.

Yes, there are many things that could have caused the broken rib. Unfortunately they are unable to tell us how old the break is so we are just very careful with her.

Thanks for all the thoughts and prayers to all here during this time. We certainly need them."

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Thanks for the update Jaye! Sending lots of thoughts and prayers to Forida!

(Barb) Manchester, NH(Zone 5a)

Keeping you in my heart Marion and in my prayers.

Bessemer, AL(Zone 8b)

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Hi sistahs.. nothing much to say today.
Overslept and missed church and the Sunday is spent poring over quilting mags and cook books with one eye glancing at some games!!
I'll 'talk' more tomorrow.

TORRINGTON, AB(Zone 3b)

Marion - I know you're not checking the threads much or at all (got lots more on your mind than "computer-ing") but know that I am praying for you, your Mom, and Sue & Kim........ such a difficult time for you, to be sure.......
Jaye - thanks for sending this.

Fayetteville, AR(Zone 7b)

Marion I'm so sorry about your mom, many many thoughts and prayers coming at you.

Kathy I'm so glad they caught that aneurism! T&P for quick healing.

Jaye ppppttttthhhhhh I knew AR wasn't going to beat LSU, there's no way, we're good but we're not that good. If they would have kept playing the whole game like they were playing in the first quarter they might have been able to pull it off. Oh well.

Hi everyone!!!

Stanford Won ! woop woop

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Sue, your going to love that tempur pedic bed. We bought one a few years ago, and every night when we lay down, we say... I love this bed!

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Morning sistahs!

Sue, I agree with LK. Tempurpedic bed is heaven! Slept on one when a few years ago, and I don't want to go home!! Sure would love to replace ours with one.
Stanford stands at #4 right now on the BCS roster.
Andrew Luck may be drafted by the Colts if Payton's vibes of early retirement is scaring them.

Hey Crissy. Your team is a class team, played clean and if given a chance, will beat ranked Virginia Tech and Stanford too. Petrino is a good coach but he needs to control his anger issue.
What do you think of a possible rematch between LSU and 'Bama for the BCS crystal?
I know sis Kathy is all for it. All up to the final human polls.

Was too sick to NOT stay in bed yesterday. Cold relapse?
This weather here is making me that way. Hot in the afternoon and freezing at nightg :(

Talked to sis Kathy and she's seeing a cardiologist tomorrow morning. Please keep her in your prayers... and Marion and her mum as well.

ETA: I was getting vocal where it's not necessary :))

Morning Jaye, thanks for the update on Kathy! Will be saying prayers for her and Marion!

Now go back to bed, and get some rest please?

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

I will LK, as soon as I got some stuffs straighten up in the kitchen.. bathroom.. wash house.. kids' play room.. you got the picture :(

the bed is here ! and it stinks ?
its a queen size. and honestly i m so used to our huge cal king that i m in a bit of portion distortion LOL its sooooooo small ? !! LOL . but we have room in our bedroom hooray. our old king took up 75 % of the bedroom. it was all bed and no room LOL
so tis a good and bad
i will get used to it .
i will enjoy reading more hooray
Tim has gout so we are hoping with the foot he can elevate it .
Lucy is smooshing her face in between Austin and me. He is eating chips and she is hoping for one to drop !

Fayetteville, AR(Zone 7b)

Sue that's the way my king size bed is, thank goodness the closets have shelving in them! I wouldn't give up my king for anything. I need to lay on a Tempurpedic bed, the Posturepedic ones give me a backache.

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Hey sistahs!
Think I'm finally over the second round! Not looking forward to another relapse. But the weather is just too crazy, and I've never seen this last year around this time.
Anyone ever had to turn on the a/c one minute and then back to the heater? Oh well, at least no snow.

Hope you all are doing well.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Glad your feeling better Jaye! We do that all the time here. Heater on one minute, A/C on the next!
Anyone heard how Sis Kathy is doing? Any updates on Marion?

Ladies don't forget about power prayers tonight

to funny crissy . LOL i miss my king already :(
i m ready to power prayer tonight
got some new boots. just basic black ones.
very cold here going to dip in the low 20's
hope the chickens don't freeze ack :P

hey did i tell you the gift i got my oldest DD ???? hehehheheheeeee.
have you seen the commercial for Forever Lazy ?? .... its foot PJ's for adults !! and its called Forever Lazy Pajama's ROFLMAO ...........awwww come on ... you know its funny ....... i had too ! i tell you , .... really i had too.. :)

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

I saw that commercial for those jammies! They look funny, but warm!

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

LK!! I forgot!! How could I? But will be doing it as soon as I get off here.
I'd told Sis Kathy that I'd call her either Thursday or Friday and see what the cardiologist suggests.
I don't like to call Marion as she and Sue will be home in the late evenings and I know she'd be busy making rounds of calls to keep her family abreast.
But, if I didn't hear from her by Friday, I'll try to ring her up.

Goodness.. I think that's a goofy present indeed Sue. I'll have trouble getting out of that suit fast enough to use the bathroom!! Lolol!!
Think the easiest would be a flannel kaftan!!

Ok.. I'm gone.. off to prayers.. see y'all in the morning.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

But the back side has a zipper for ease of use! LOL!

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

But it's like a jumpsuit or an overall... one too many components to pull down, LK!

Afternoon everyone. Did call upon Sis Kathy and her appt. has been postponed to next Wednesday as the cardiologist had an emergency.
But they did do an EKG and the result is deemed abnormal.
I assured her that we will be sending out prayers.
When we talk, we'd be in stitches laughing over silly stuffs. But not this time, don't want to leave her breathless :(

Got a lot to do online, 1st of the month you know. I'm glad we can pay our bills online, no checks, no stamps or be on the road.. except for our vehicle insurance. This company charge an extra $5 for checks, and we had walked in once to pay with our debit card, they still charge us $5. Being it's close to our WM, we've started paying them cash. Hmmmm.. another way to make $$ I guess.

Catch y'all later.

Fayetteville, AR(Zone 7b)

Sue I have some of those PJ's, I love footed PJ's LOL

I pay all of my bills through my bank's free online bill pay service, it's the best thing since the wheel.

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Same here Crissy! Wondermous ain't it?
And I love the service of Paypal too.. so convenient.
