I was not able to prove the door was faulty at the hotel, so I could not take them to court. I tried two different lawyers, and they both told the same things. So it is something I just have to live with. Hopefully I will wake up one day, and be able to move it.

Sure wish I could get a dr, to find and fix the damage. I went to a hand specialist, and after x rays and an MRI, she said it may or may not heal up. If I had surgery, it would be worse than what it is!

well i sent all the paper work to Western Union . they do an audit of us twice a year. Since we send money through them .
only 29 of the 31 pages went through. i was at the library
the second time i asked " did you send half and then the other half ? " she said "no did them all at the same time so maybe some got stuck " ummmm duh.
i didn't have time to wait for a third time ... so i hope i gave them enough info . wiht all my luck the two missing pages are the important ones with our names on them LOLLLL and the control number
i can't get his paycheck until this clears :(

Hi all! I haven't been lurking - I haven't been on at all.
Started to get bronchitis again - hacking like crazy, but then I put vicks on the bottom of my feet and put socks on, plus vicks on my chest and wore a t-shirt to bed. Also, had one of Jamie's Hot Toddys and they really work!
that, and lots of chicken noodle soup for lunch today. Seems to loosen up my chest well. I was even too "chest-tired" to eat porridge this morning... but am feeling better now. I highly recommend the treatment!

Sorry your not feeling well Susan, but sounds like your on the mend! Seems to be that time of year for colds! Take care, and get some rest.

thanks LK - I'm trying to rest, but having to go to work takes my mind off it, as long as I keep slurping up the hot liquids lol

Last year, I made Indian spiced tea and that had helped me, but my acid reflux been getting worse lately, and I have to try to minimize spices.

oh and did i mention she serves velveta slices as a side dish ? oh Lawdy its awful . She lets them sit there for hrs while she gets other stuff ready. So by that time the slices are so melted into the plate ... oh bless her heart for all the work she does . i do admire her spirit. but the food...

Strange life I'm leading here, never thought I'd see 56 and no family around me to celebrate the holidays, except for Kel.
But then I got to think of those boys out there in Iraq and Afghanistan, and how selfish I could be... those poor boys would love to be in my place.
Anyway, the hunters are out there in the woods firing their high powered rifles.
Yep, didn't realize that the wooded 20 odd acres behind our place would be turned into a hunting club by the owner :*(

I thank the Lord for each and everyone of you. You all are with me today, in spirit.

Kel came home to unexpected Corned Beef, cheesy pasta and plain toasts. Talk about my tummy went nuts! I'm not used to rich foods anymore. So, this evening I had to settle for dry toasts :(

This is what she wrote on another site.
Ladies, we need prayers big time for here!! Mom started coughing up blood Tuesday evening and was rushed to the hospital. She lost about 1/2 cup which is not what she needs at the time; down to 82 pounds and running a fever. She has been put on a stronger antiboitic for the pneumonia and is now in isolation as the are making sure she hasn't contracted TB at the nursing home. We are all on standby until the results of the testing comes back. Sad to say, it must be considered as her aid is Haitian and does make frequent trips back and forth. He may not have it but could be a carrier so in the meantime, testing are being done. They have not been able to stop the bleeding, she is alert but oh so weak.

Can't you all feel her fears? Poor sistah.. wish we could help.

Well, what a Thanksgiving day for her.

LK, I have started a thread in the Sewing Forum informing others of her not being able to meet her swap deadline.
I found a couple that she had joined but she had fulfilled her part, unless I missed something!

I just heard on the news someone at a Mall in Fayettville, NC, was shooting, but so far no one was hurt. Pretty sad black Friday sales have to result in all this anger. Someone else in California sprayed pepper spray in a crowd, to make them leave so they could get the items they wanted!

That is soooo sad LK. You and I could have been there and experience this? Shooting? Pepper spray?
One year it was a mass stampede at WM. These Black Friday deals should be stopped. And you don't save much if you consider the energy spent just for a few dollars.

So LK.. you will be facing the leftovers and don't have to cook! Not much leftovers here, but will be a light meal for us. Hot dogs!!

Jaye, this is our turkey. It came out o tender, the legs were falling off when we took it out of the fryer. Todd made his own marinade for injecting it, out of butter and Tony Chachere spices. It was really yummy!

Tim lands in the USA at 4 pm on saturday
spent most of my day at Western Union trying to get his paychack. the women there are not nice . so i had to do some double tracking back and forth to get paper work . every time i went back they wanted new ID ? uhg
so i went to another place and then the bank. honestly there has to be a better way ?

I've been using Tony Chachere's for the longest ever! Cajuns #1 seasoning.
They also make the pre mixed Cajun Injector. But the secret of course, as Todd found out is butter in the bird!! Good job Todd!
Tell Todd that Tony's also good for a brisket rub with brown sugar ;)

My DIL was at that mall in Fayettville, NC when that shooting took place, it was in Victoria's Secret. Thank God she was at the other end of the mall !! and when she left there, and went to wal mart....yup.............. there was gun fire heard there, she had not heard what happened when I had talked to her, but there were many ambulances, fire trucks and police cars called to the store. :( sad sad state we are in, when people are shooting at each other over saving a couple dollars !!!!

We dosi doed Sue! So we can expect you'll be missing for a few weeks? Enjoy Tim when he's home and the prayers will continue for a job and your DD to get some smarts!
