S of Lake Ontario, NY(Zone 6a)

Jan you're starting to sound like Dave

Amherst, NY(Zone 6a)

I'm presuming the apple crisp was separate. I hope so, anyway. ☺

Lunch out after my successful cataract surgery earlier today (see the weather thread) and my wife and son just went out to get something for supper. The "head chef" is on medical leave for a few days so my wife is responsible for meals.

Thomaston, CT

Glad it went well Dave....and you deserve a break!

central, NJ(Zone 6b)

We had pork chops bbqd on the grill

Thomaston, CT

I think tonight is a mac & cheese night......

Salem Cnty, NJ(Zone 7b)

Oops, yes, the apple crisp was separate. It was delicious!!!

No idea about tonight, yet

Huron, OH(Zone 5b)

baked chicken with rasberry salsa on top last night. Dinner out tonight.

South China, ME(Zone 5a)

LOL Jumper, we are just the opposite! Went out to eat last night at Bugga-Boo Creek, tonight fried spicey chicken wings at home. Normally I don't fry so this is a treat for us. :)

Amherst, NY(Zone 6a)

My wife, eldest son, wife's parents and I went to the Tony Pepperoni Pizza Buffet earlier this afternoon. Very good and very good value.

S of Lake Ontario, NY(Zone 6a)

Mmm can I have a little of that chicken n raspberry salsa?
Or a recipe? :-)

central, NJ(Zone 6b)

Huron, OH(Zone 5b)

DH bought the salsa and put it on the chicken befor baking.

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

I made a lasagna with no-boil noodles. It turned out great.

central, NJ(Zone 6b)

I saw a recipe for slow cooker lasagna has anyone ever had it???

Thomaston, CT

Nope.

South China, ME(Zone 5a)

Steamed swiss chard, boneless pork chops, red beans & rice, corn on the cob.

S of Lake Ontario, NY(Zone 6a)

Dave the lasagna didn't come out pasty? I haven't had success with it.

Thomaston, CT

I forgot about the chard left in the garden, Pixie....hope it's OK, I'll put it in soup, my winter lunch most days!

Amherst, NY(Zone 6a)

Debi_k, the noodles were the perfect texture. Everybody loved the lasagna.

Southeastern, NH(Zone 5b)

I haven't had success with no boil pasta either. I am assuming you used a lot of sauce I think that's the trick..
Jen I've never tried a slow cooker lasagna but have always wanted to. Let me know how it turns out!

S of Lake Ontario, NY(Zone 6a)

Maybe add lots of water to the sauce? Glad it worked well for you!

South China, ME(Zone 5a)

T-Bone steak, french fries and salad with devil food cake for dessert.
It's Joshua's 24th birthday so he got to choose. ^_^

Thomaston, CT

He chose well! Hope he's having a happy birthday...life has been tough for him lately.

central, NJ(Zone 6b)

Sounds like a yummy b-day dinner!
Was at my oldest brother's had roast chicken

Huron, OH(Zone 5b)

TGIF party at my house last night. We all had a great time, very full house.

Thomaston, CT

Treated myself to Chinese.....pork in red chili sauce.

Southeastern, NH(Zone 5b)

What a coinkydink I had chinese too. DH always orders crab rangoon, chicken fingers, beef terriaki, pork fried rice, boneless spareribs, and chicken wings.. I added steamed chicken and veggies with white rice. It coes with a yummy sauce on the side. I can't eat all that fried food with no veggies, it messes with my tummy. So I ust had a little. :)

Huron, OH(Zone 5b)

chicken breast, parsley potatos, and corn

South China, ME(Zone 5a)

I made a huge pot of moose meat (beef) stew with carrots, peas, onions, celery, taters, and barley in it. A fresh loaf of bread and an apple-pear coffee cake and left it for the hunters without sampling any. Instead I hopped in the car and drove to Dover, N.H. , on the way back stopped @ Bugga Boo Creek and had steak, mashed taters and a salad. ^_^

Amherst, NY(Zone 6a)

I made another lasagna with the no-boil noodles. This time I used canned buffalo-style chicken and jarred roasted garlic alfredo sauce. I think the key with these no-boil noodles is to add the two cups water to whatever sauce used as the package instructions say. Then bake it covered with foil for 40 minutes at 375, then uncovered for another 15 minutes. My wife, eldest son and I loved it. My youngest son hates all pasta so he did not even try it.

central, NJ(Zone 6b)

Hates pasta????? WoW! what's up with that????

Huron, OH(Zone 5b)

not my favorite either. we had pizza last night, steak tonight.

S of Lake Ontario, NY(Zone 6a)

South China, ME(Zone 5a)

Last night was "What ever Brian feels like", well he won his workmans comp case so he opted for a boiled dinner for his celebritary feast. Had beef pot roast, turnip, cabbage, carrots, taters, onions and parsnips in the boiled dinner. OH, a homemade apple pie with french vanilla ice cream on top for dessert. ^_^
