Dianne, I did see you waving! Have to tell you, at the docs on Friday....there was a Escape parked there. I looked, and looked again.....it had eye lashes...around the headlights! Cutest thing! They were stuck on...and curled just the right way.

Hmmm... where is Betty ? Susan I had the same thought... have seen those things on the love Bugs... Debbie I'd have been staring too.... What are the Kiddo's up to ? are they still taking care of Mom Mode ?
Susan.... LOL... "Owly".... The drive seemed to go quickly but I think was more exhausting than I realized.... Dianne... Yes we'll wait till they get planted before I get pics... plants are just in pots and spread all over 3-4 different areas.... I think I'll buy a shelf for the living room and just keep in pots till Spring... Big Smile Bev ! Love it... have a Hibby called "Smiley Face" and I smile just looking at it...
Dianne,,, Hubby says the dog likes teh cat food because the cat food has more meat product in it... I always wondered if that were true...How are you and Santa Warren doing tonight? Love to see everyone musing over their Swap gift as I am doing the very same thing... Found myself daydreaming in the bath tub... LOL MUCH better than worrying about work (HUGS)

Still up, busy night, did have a we'e nap when I got home, Kyle dropped in for a visit, had to show me the new ford that parks itself without the aid of the driver..tried to convince me it's my next car. Had him bad my hands when I took them out of the waxed, he thought that was cool..

I got all the hugs and slept all afternoon. Feel almost human. The dogs got leftovers as I slept through dinner prep time.

I have malabar spinach (can't remember much else of what I just read). It is perennial and loves hot weather. It is "meatier" than regular spinach but tastes the same. I've tried to grow beauty berry from seed without success may try a plant if I can get one in the fall when I'm in Ca. Have four fruit trees to plant and lots of seeds so I can keep busy any time I have a little energy.

I'm feeling good about my talk with Tony. I hate playing the boss but he makes it easy for me. I'm also happy about nice Dmails from several friends and that Andy will be sending me a package that I can donate to our local hospital.

I think I slelpt about six hours this afternoon - all the hugs helped. Also the dogs dont' start barking until evening.

I'm still tired and almost weepy now that I've had some rest. I can enclose the dogs in the back yard and see if that keep them quieter. I have a no-bark collar but iti's lost in the mess. I may get a couple more when in Ca.

I really appreciate my life here, even when I'm sort of overwhelmed. Sure glad you all are here and that I got some rest. And that I had enough leftovers to feed the dogs.

Then jeff called, told me to bring the 3 ereaders and the laptop to work tomorrow so he can download book and then I can wrap them..he and julie have been spending long weekend looking at chalets in Collinwood..hoping to come to the office for lunch with me. No sooner did I finish with jeff did Rita call, confirming our trip Nov 11th. After all of this I'm now wide awake. Trying to talk myself into going to sew but my body says no.

Debbie we've missed you as well..am glad that Paul is keeping tabs on you as I'm sure you are so bored that you would get into some kind of mischief. Lol

The Malabar Spinach seeds were a surprise but I read about them on here and I'm actually a little excited.. I do love spinach, fresh and cooked.... and the plant sounds pretty....

We had a busy week-end again ... I set out some more broccoli plants and have been putting some of my plants in the ground. Hopefully I won't regret doing it this late. We're bedding them up with all the straw we raked a couple weeks ago.

Mary, I am here. Grounded pretty much...but checking in.

I have four boys here tonight....all 17 & 18 year olds.

My blood work came back from doctor this morning, he called at 9:45 tonight...have to up the dose, not working. Repeating blood work on Friday again. After the nerve study on Friday...I feel like a pin cushion.

Paul is having his eye surgery on Wednesday for the macular pucker. Our oldest daughter is taking him. And "the child" is taking me to PT water therapy.

I am heading to bed shortly.....

Long day of hurry up and wait at the CC so Warren is in mega pain tonight.He will have probably the very last treatment they can do for him on Wednesday. He will have radiation on his right hip/pelvic area and knee. Instead of going for several days he is having 1 mega dose of radiation. He has to be there for his tat at 9:45 am and doesn't get his treatment until 6 pm.Now that will be a long day and neither of us is looking forward to it. It is not as if we can come home and he can rest - I think I will put a pillow and some blankets in the Escape so he can stretch out.

Pouring rain here and the lights are starting to flicker so I best get going.

Dianne, sorry to hear that Warren is in so much pain. Hopefully you can give him enough pain meds to let him sleep, and you as well! That sure makes for a long day when you have to wait so long between visits.

((((((Dianne & Warren))))))) You're both in my thoughts and prayers - I wish he weren't in such pain. I think having a blanket and pillow in the vehicle is a great idea - gives him some time away from the hospital, even though he can't go home...... it's a break for both of you.

tat...is tattoo to get radiation, they put tattoos, little dots. around the perimeter of the area for radiation, radiation machine reads the dots..and stays inside... so radiation goes only where needed....My Momma had to get them when she got radiation for her breast cancer.

Don't forget to take a stuffed animal, too. And maybe a hot water bottle.

I got another six hours of sleep and am feeling almost human again. Very little barking by the dogs. I'm still in aa recuperating mode. Had the heating pad on my shoulder most of the night.

I think I should open a rest home with myself as the first resident. We could fill it up just with our group here. We could all veg together until we feel better.

Debbie, I hope you are still taking it easy. Be careful not to reinjure yourself.

With Amber gone, the other dogs are doing some readjusting on who is "top dog." No blood shed, just a few growls.

I am going to take a pain killer and do some clean-up in my bedroom. Yuck.

Oh - I am in the subtropics here so it's a lot like southern Florida. Winter is when we can grow things that people in more temperate cllimates grow in the summer. In the time I've been in my house, I've concentrated more on getting fruit trees and other food plants established. White flies have gotten beans and cucumbers I've started. I hope to havve lots of flowers and some vegggies in the new garden. If I can get some morning glories going they might reseed themselves.
