Oh my gosh ... I can't even imagine ...
Just think next time you have an itch somewhere and want to reach out and scratch it ... and then stop and think that's just the beginning of what she goes through. She can't even wipe her own tears ...What an inspiration she will be to her children and to all who comes in contact with her.

Debbie said before surgery that she knows she has to stay one night, if they can do it laproscopy she would only be one night, if they have to remove it surgically she would probably have to stay 3 nights, plus it depended upon what else, if anything, that they found during surgery when they went in. Nothing is guaranteed when you get to go home from ANY surgery. Paul was very positive with this surgery but didn't say one way or the other which way they removed it and I forgot to ask.

When I had my Appendectomy I was supposed to be in the hospital one night and back to work in 1 week. Well, they found that it had been leaking for 2 days and they had to clean it up, therefore I had to stay in the hospital 4 nights and couldn't come back to work for 4 weeks! Lots can change real quick.

Wow I can't imagine either. Dang.

Let's just hope Debbie doesn't rush coming home..would be nice for a change to be waited on, resting, reading a book!

Katie, glad you are taking your time before driving home, sounds as though the roads are not modern freeways...glad the dog is settling in, before you know you'll have one more on the bed at bedtime..

Earlier today after going through Cindy's write up, then looking out into mall lobby and seeing a young man with his family, little tykes all 3 under 5 I would say, pushing himself in wheelchair, almost corralling the kids..here he is just torso..boy, I told myself no complaining, thank the Lord for what you have, especially health!! Then Sharon calls to gab, been talking to mom...complaints, complaints..has my blood boiling ...sure didn't take me long to get off the bandwagon of no complaining!!

All I can say is people are funny! And not the ha/ha kind of funny!

Oh Katie I remember those roads, UG it takes forever once you get south of the border and there wasn't any road construction going on when I came through there.

Just a quick note to say hello again today and hope that Debbie is doing good. You have been on my mind all day Deb. And I'm still waiting to hear from Thea that they are settled in for the night at the B&B they were going to....I'm one of those who needs to check on her chicks now and again!!!!

So glad Debbie's doing well, and it's a cyst, not a mass!!

We are planning to go to Visit DSD at her College next weekend....they are hosting a Family Day with Football game and activities....
We told DS he could invite his GF... but I was sure she wouldn't be able to go because her family is ultra strict... and this is 2 nights away... but just found out she can GO !

So I'm so excited.... We will stay at the nice place we found in July...

Just use a baggie, place the roots wrapped in wet paper towels or newspaper, secure it with a rubber band, and then add buble warp for padding to keep it from getting bounced around! it will be fine!

it's in a 4" pot... I think you told me about the wooden sticks... I got some large coffee stirrers at Cici's..... then thought I'd shove a large styrofoam cup over the pot.... wrap in bubble wrap.

Today is the last day of Summer ! We had high temps today...but lower than the record highs we had this summer.... So the Hibbies are happy.... They are blooming.

Betty, you were up so late last night, hope you got some sleep! I am loving this fall day, as we got about 2 hours of rain last night, and it is only 67 this morning! But it will be back to 103 for Sunday, so our heat is not done yet!

We have been crazy busy!! My cleaning job took longer then expected but is now finished...So glad, I was exhausted.
But the place looks and smells awesome...

Steve interviewed a couple of guys and hired one, he starts Monday...So i sure hope he works out.

Lets see yesterday was most interesting, spent a couple of hours in emergency...Steve cut his finger pretty good. first major injury in like ever!!
Ended up with 5 stitches and a splint. Has a fractured bone too. But he seems to be ok, whew could have been a lot worse., can't see that bill...yikes meds were over 100.

Other then running around working, trying to keep this house up..Finally got my dryer fixed, sigh so been non stop with that again,ROFLOL, it WAS exhausted!! Turned out too heavy a load in the dryer(Thanks to 1 of the guys, trying to help) tripped a button, like a curcuit breaker, so it cost us 168 buck for the guy to come and push a button!!! Took him longer to open the dumb machine up, Going to Football games and searching once again for a job, I am doing ok.

Well another crazy friday on agenda so got to make tracks...

Although it says 59 degrees I'm feeling chilled so on with the furnace, guess the rain isn't helping, or is it! See the grSs growing greener! Joanne was able to fit me in, had my hair washed/cut/set, should have gone to grocery store for chicken..have all the fixings cut for a nice ho emade soup.. I should go into town and do what needs done, pick up chicken and groceries then I'll have the entire weekend to myself..can't believe the morning is almost over!

Yikes, poor Steve, as you say he could really have done more damage..hope his new employee turns out..would take extra stress off Steve work wise..he'd have to be a great worker and know carpentry as Steve is such a perfectionist..have seen some of his work! Oh my I owe you all an apology, I talked to Paul late last night and thought that I would have time to tell you all what he said this morning when I got to work but today we are celebrating my boss's 50th birthday and served him a potluck breakfast, then a few of us immediately went to visit my co-worker at home and we just got back.

So the DID have to do the big incision on Debbie instead of the laproscopy so she'll be in for a few days, I think he said as it's looking right now, of course this could change, but it's a possibility that she could be released on Saturday, providing there are no infections or anything abnormal. She had woke up for a little bit but she wanted to go back to sleep so she 'kicked Paul out' lol she's got her personality going already. He said again that they did take the ovary and it did LOOK like a cyst to the doctor but they sent it off to the lab to be 100% sure. If I don't hear from him today I'll call him this evening and give you all an update, and this time I won't have drank a bottle of wine beforehand LOL!!!

As far as my co-worker, she's doing very well, I think. Her and her DH, Ryan, showed us pictures of the baby and OMG!! They said the placenta was too small and it had a blood clot right where the umbilical cord attached so they're thinking that's where the problem was but they'll know for sure when they get the test results back from it.

LindaKay, they are adorable .... Can see the scarecrow standing next to fall mums. Bet the rain you had last night was soaked up by the earth just like a sponge..not a lot of rain but better than none..

Got all my shopping done and my to do list..even made it to the snowmobile shop and got Greg his trail pass that I get him for Christmas so feel good about my afternoon.

Tempted to put my head back and nod off but then I remember the wood out in the car i just bought that needs to be cut and made into a scarecrow ..should be cut and stained so it's ready for painting tomorrow...fall is here, if he's meant to be on front lawn than he needs to be done asap before Halloween things need to be put outside..

I'm blaming LindaKay for getting me up on fall decorating!!

I need to go get some Mums, my neighbor told be they are getting them in the stores now!

I bought about 6 large pots in past 2 weeks...amazed that such pretty flowers are only $5.99 and once flowers are spent, simply plant in the gardens for next year..the one I'm enjoying the most is a rust orange..have to go look for a couple bales of hay, that is not easy to come by..got to find a farmer lol

Betty, do you have a feed store up there? They should have them.

We do but I've never seen bales..could ask though, they may be able to direct me..
Rain/windy, watching the leaves fall from the trees..I'll be racking before long..soup smells yummy, enough for all!

I'm not doing "all the cooking for the church dinner" - there are 16 turkeys (with dressing & gravy to be made) and I'm only doing 4 - they're done, btw - and I've stuffed them with dressing...... now to make the gravy
I am donating some turnips, etc, but NOT peeling or cooking at the church. Too busy getting ready for "Movie Night" tonight. The church has been donated a 42" TV and stand, and we can now use it because the casters are put on the stand, and it's movable lol

From a comment DH made...about MIL mentioning that youngest DSD upset that she could not bring a friend... I'm a little rankled about. DS has been dating this girl for 8 months.
Always an issue with these girls the whole "It's Not Fair" deal.... Sure their mother tells them constantly that we treat them unfairly. Shouldn't let it bother me.

Rain has stopped, not so sure it will be a sunshine day but doesn't matter because I am having a sew/paint day!! Already poured 8 Santa faces..keep forgetting how many were ordered and by who, so if you are one of them please let me know..by late afternoon I should be able to pour another 8..that with what I already have might do the trick.

Had a terrible night, legs paining like crazy. Think it was from all the dampness so I shall take a painkiller this mornimg so I can get through the day..let's hope it doesn't make me drowsy or I'll be cutting fingers along with my project.
