Barb, if you see this guy in your neck of the week this week and next..you'll know who he is..lol
Brother Bernie heading your way
Best/worse/what did I learn today? Chat with friends..
Handsome guy like that may not make it to the races!!! Nice to put a face to the name. Looks like a good time was had by everyone. I can't get over how much you and Noah look alike!!!! How is Sharon's dog doing???
He is doing fine Barb, specialist says that although he's back in vet hospital for seepage they feel they got it all..mom's dog on the other hand is going in for another operation, growths in other areas..estimate $3,500..Sharon tried to have a talk with her, no go, I'm not going anywhere along that subject with her..she told someone that Sharon is worried about her inheritance..can you believe it?
Family of 4....kept telling me shoulders back..lol
Betty I now recognize Bernie but who is this other gentleman????
Finally got home, driving a dealership cadilac..seems they are having trouble with the timing belt..here I had no problem with the car, I decide to do preventive maintenance and now I'm leery about it! Guess they will not give it to me unless they are sure it's working ok!
Bev, hope tomorrow's appointment is full of good news and no more arm brace..been months hasn't it since you injured! You won't know what to do being able to use 2 hands! Getting the ok nod from doc will allow you to be able to do fall cleanup. love Big Bird
Suse, think you are having the time of your life with Moses. Lol
Debbie, did you keep me some stew! How did Paul make out at the eye specialist!
Omg Katie, can't believe you are going to take the so soon, lordy bet your bags aren't even unpacked. How sad for your friend being evicted..does Tony's wife sew? Think we all keeps too many odds/sods thinking one day we'll use them when we know full well we will not! Sure they are appreciated!
Dianne, sending you big arm wraps, you brought tears to my eyes reading your post..it was dejavue! The ups and downs that you are going through with Warren are so overwhelming..Roger became delusional because the liver wasn't breaking down the meds, end result they had to refrain from giving him pain killers..not sure what was worse, seeing him so angry / mixed up or seeing him cry in so much pain...sure hope someone is helping you through all this.
Barb, youngest sibling, my brother Mike! By age it is me, Bernie, Sharon then Mike. Are you having a good day?
Just called Cathy to thank her, I had set 5 or six garbage bags in garbage bins..saw them wrapped apart this morning, would have taken the time to pick up but there was 3 large skunks keeping guard, wasn't about to go out!
Mary, love the photo of Belle...she sure lucked out finding a home with you...spoilt like all our furries!
Thunder, got a pattern on iPad this am and thought it would be something you would like to do..will post it in he am...based around crossword design.
Laura, sending hugs...
Crissy your friend is in my thoughts as well
Well, tired tonight..haven't eaten yet and not sure I shall, already in jammies looking at the clock trying to decide if I should try to stay up for night shift or go to bed and be up early for the morning crew
If I've missed someone it isn't intentional..gab later!
DH's update. Still has the macular pucker...soon as he knows how my surgery goes Thursday and whats up with that.....DH is to call and make an appointment for surgery.
Sigh.
I'll try to be here more often...I'm spending a lot of time with Dad who's having a very, very tough time right now. He has decided to stay in Independent Living with a few additions to his day. He will have help with his meds each morning, be wearing a "Lifeline" pendent and eat his evening meal at the main campus by way of shuttle. So pray for us that soon he will get the hang of things and settle some. Your prayers have meant so much to us...keep em coming!
Once again I am begging for donations for JDRF Walk for a Cure. It is the juvenile diabetes research foundation and it's a very worthy cause.
You can donate online here just put in my name (Joyce Thomas) and Jordyn's team name (Jordyn's Jammers). Any and all amounts are appreciated and helpful.
[HYPERLINK@secure3.convio.net]
Keep us ALL in your prayers.
I love all of you,
Joyce
Dianne, I am so sorry Warren is having these problems, prayers going out to you girl.
Love the pictures Betty, thanks for sharing those! Sucks about your car, but hey a Caddy?? You may not want your car back after this!
Bev Gorgeous!!! I hope your arm is healed up, I know all too well how broken arms go, I've broken mine 6 different times.
Debbie that sucks! I was really hoping that was gone. Sheesh girl!!
((((((((((((JOYCE)))))))))))))) It's so wonderful to see you!! I bet he is having a tough time, but I'm glad he chose to stay there, I think that's a very safe and good decision for him right now. Lots of hugs and prayers sweetie!
Hello To All ! Welcome "Night Shift"
Waving Joyce, Crissy, Bev.... Betty looks like the weather you ordered for the Party came in just fine... what great pics... Beautiful children and family.... and furries too ! Your yard was just spectacular... see I feel like I was there too !
Debbie - I think all your DR's have Yachts by now... so sad for you gal... but love you for keeping your sense of humor through it.... please take some ME time before Thursday gets here !
Katie - so sad for Tony's Dad but it sounds like you've been a godsend for Tony and his family. Hope the pup works out...
Waving Thunder.... Suse - have you gotten through that book yet ?
HUGE Gentle hugs for Dianne.... I remember now thinking about you and Barb too when I was reading the herb info at the nursery. It was Parsley that said it stimulates the appetite... You have so much patience with your Hubs....
I'll pop back in a bit...
Mary
Hi - here for a moment. Prayers for all in need (Betty - you need a cadillac, right?), Norman, Joyce, and anyone I've not mentioned - you know you're in my thoughts & prayers.
I'm hired on to do more edits to the meeting minutes...... no matter how long (1 hour, I presume) I will get a base of 4 hours!! I've gotten apologies from all the attendees, and the fellow who hired me (the chair of the meeting).
So, I get to invoice again, and it's not alot of $$ per hour, but the edit (from ONE person only) should be Real Easy.
Silly man though - when he emailed the agency and me to ask for me to edit the meeting, he sent the minutes to both of us!! Talk about lack of confidentiality!! I would Never let a hiring agency read minutes from a meeting let alone one where the chair was threatened that he'd lose his house and car to pay back $$ he owed! Sure is letting her read all about his wrongdoings to the other attendees!! What was he thinking??? He wasn't.......... that's the whole problem LOL
Oh yeah, and it's time for the new church newsletter, too, so I'm doing that right afterwards!!
Goodmorning to all.
I wanted to thank everyone for the hugs and prayers you have sent my way.
Busy volunteering at kids school...art class paper mache.
Packing camper to head to Pa for DH bday.
Laura
Morning all,
Played lazy this morning, turned off the alarm and snuggled in for yet another hour, now I'm looking at the clock thinking I've not much time...
Joyce, hugs dear lady, difficult for you grieving your Mother's passing and getting your dad settled in..how overwhelming! You've thought of every detail to make him more independent, will be difficult for ohm, one never gets over the death of their love! Add your injury to the mix and I just don't know how you are keeping your sanity right now? Will look at the link when get to work..
Debbie, Omg, it just doesn't stop for you does it! Just what Paul didn't need now that the deadline is coming closer for decision of possibly keeping some key men on but one cannot play with their eyesight..
Hugs and prayers to both of you!
Susan, is the company you are doing minutes for a major company. Surely not! Perhaps you could include 10 general rules of business procedures when attending in camera meetings.
Bev, as always, am enjoying the photos..how is Scotty doing..still giving you the what for.
Thea and Barb, bet you are counting the sleeps until you meet this weekend..you'll so enjoy spending time together.
Crissy, how is your friend?
Waving to all others..
Off and running
Morning Laura.. You are one busy lady...kids will so enjoy their paper mâché projects.where in PA will you be trailering to? Happy Birthday wishes for your hubby..nice was to celebrate. Let's hope now the weather co-operates. Giant size hug coming you way!
Been up forever, translated means no sleep again last night. I really, really do need a nap at somepoint today.
Barb I am ready to stuff DH full of See's Dark Chocolate to see if that will help everything that is going on for him right now. If it stops raining I think I will take Stormy and toddle off to the sugar bush -there are several neat spots I could hide out in for a while. Course Barb I have to take the dark chocolate for energy plus leave pieces of the wrapper so I can find my way back.
Betty I am so sorry I made you weep - but that is exactly what I am doing as I sit here. Gotta weep where DH cannot see or hear me. Warren was never onee fo tears and surely isn't now.I am usually a happy person but at the moment I am having trouble finding that moment.DH wants no phone calls to be answered because he doesn't want people to hear exactly how things are going. Thank goodness I have here where I can vent myself and not be judged. A nurse I was not made to be even though my mam tried her damnedness( is this a word??) to get me to go to Nursing School. SHE wanted to be the nurse, not me. When I told her I would rather be a doctor she flipped. MEN are doctors NOT women she would scream at me.
Don't forget we all have to meet up for Debbie's surgery on Thursday am. Betcha Debbie you stay up all night worried about getting to the hospital for 7:30 am.
Sorry we cut our walk short Mary and Susan, wet, wet, wet in the bush and all those sketters were agravating me. There is an albino chipmunk lets try and find it tomorrow when we walk.
~~~~~~ to everyone. Make sure you all do something nice for yourselves today!
Dianne
Dianne I know exactly where you areat right now and my heart goes out to you..on Christmas Day through 2-3 days the year Roger was dying, the boys and I had to sit on the bed in same room as he, curtains drawn so he wouldn't know we were there..told us to stay away, when he was better then we could come and visit..we'd sit there looking at each other, deep in thought, teary eyed wondering what to do...then came the telling of his family they could NOT see him..Roger said he could see something in their eyes..try telling a mom/dad and 10 sibblings that they CANNOT
see him...you are lost in a mix of emotions, being torn every which way..hardest thing is once Roger passed on, I was the one who took all the flack, his family turned against me other than a few, thank goodness they continued a relationship with my boys...even now I try my best with Roger's mom, (she was at Saturday's due) but it takes all her time to look me in the eye...sure wish I could give you a hands on hug
Dianne, so sorry to hear all your going through! Have you told his Dr.'s what's going on yet? Maybe there is something they can give him? Sending you lots of thoughts and prayers and BIG (((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((HUGS)))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))) too!
Dianne, my heart goes out to you and is there with you for you to lean on whenever you need. I'd gladly follow the wrapper trail to you just to give you a warm and gentle hug to show you how special you are. It's hard, I know, to deal with all the issues by yourself. Is hospice coming in at all yet? You need some time for you as well and maybe some time to meet with family as he doesn't want them there. No matter what though Dianne, all of us here send our love and hugs to keep you warm and to give comfort however we can. You are a very special part of this group and we all love you so much and wish there were ways for us to help you. Please know we ARE there with you.....
Good morning ...
Dianne ... just no words ... Wish I could just be there and give you a hug. I hate Warren is having such a difficult time like this. Wish we could all be there and help you. Please know I lift you up in prayer daily.
Barb, praying for you to get answers with your test results.
Debbie, so sorry to hear that Paul has to go through yet another surgery. Please tell him hello and we’re praying for him. Will it be lazor this time? Danny so hated that shot...
We’ll be thinking about you on Thursday.
Hello Joyce … I pray your Dad will be able to transition with ease. I recently lost my Dad, but my Mom is able to take care of herself. I’ll continue to keep y’all in my prayers.
Laura, hope y’all have a safe trip and your DH has a happy birthday. Your kids are lucky to have you for a Mama!
Mary, I’ll make a note of that info. Maybe I don’t need to grow parsley after all? ☺ And yes, I did finish the book … I won’t discuss it since everyone else hasn’t read it
Okay, need to get up from here … so if I didn’t speak to you this time, I’ll catch you on the flip flop..
Ug Dianne I am so sorry he is having so many problems. I know it's wearing you out, I would tell the doctor, like LK says, maybe they have something now that he can take to calm him down a bit.
My co-worker is hanging in there I guess Betty. I haven't seen her but the funeral is tomorrow, it's going to be a long long road but I really think they'll try again pretty soon, my gut just tells me that.
Crissy, will you all be attending the funeral? Just hopes she allows her body and her mind to heal!
Her body is fine, no different than giving birth, it's her mental state that we are all worried about. Yes I will be going with the rest of the office.
Her body Crissy still needs healing time regardless how healthy she is...
Glad you will all be there for her..
wow, been very busy this morning, can't believe it's already afternoon..nice!
Not so nice is I booked an appt. for Paul on Friday which means I have to be here..oh well won't hurt me to work a full week lol
Got the guard off today. Doc wanted to give me a cortizone shot in the tendons in the bottom part of my thumb and I told him no that I would just suffer the pain. Scotty is much more settled but misses home bad you know. He has to have 24-7-nursing care. I will wear the guard if I am working in the garden. HUGS AND PRAYERS FOR ALL. BEV
"Edd Murry" at night.
Yeah Bev, glad that guard is off, woohooo! I think I would have passed on the shot too, I've had them and they can cause more pain then they're worth, other times they do get rid of the pain after about 8 days. You can always go back if you change your mind. Glad Scotty is much more settled, that makes it so much easier on you, but he needs to be where he's at to get the proper care he needs and I'm positive you know that. Have you won any contests with your pics? You definitely should if you haven't.
Bev, I think Edd Murry is one of my favorites, it's the deep burgandy I love...wish I had more of it in my garden. I feel badly for losing all those pretty ones I had purchased seeing the bug destroyed them all..the pitzzzz I say!
Fantastic about having the guard off..will give you more freedom and yes, if you wear it when you know you'll be using your arm a lot, then likely you'll not do more damage..I'm with you and Crissy, think you made the right choice in not getting the shot..can always do so later..you must be more at peace knowing Scotty is accepting that he needs 24/7 constant care and that it's just too much for you..with you visiting a lot, that might take the edge off his homesickness...
WOW, this thread moves fast.
Barefoot T, I know Daves retains all my content. That it why I have been selective with it. I run a web site where if you leave all your content leaves with you. It's a two edge sword that favors the individual rather than the site. Daves method favors Daves. I met Dave personally, too bad he's gone.
There are millions of sites out there but so few are worth a dime.
What concerns me is would someone still be able to contact me after my subscription expires. I have to log in to see the message,,,,,
Andy P
Wait a minute. Some mysterious benefactor gave me an extra year. This is the only thread where I mentioned the dilemma so it must be one of you. Well maybe not but I think it is.
So THANK YOU from the bottom of my surgically repaired heart.
Gawd, so much has happened this past 15 months and so little has been positive. There may still be light at the end of the tunnel. God Bless.
Andy - this thread is Filled with Angels among us. I also got a year's subscription from one of these, but she won't say who (in chat), but I Know Who it is and I cannot thank her enough!
Andy, someone did the same thing for me this year also.....Definately Angels among Us!
ok - techies out there - If a WPS file (Microsoft Works) is moved onto an MS Word Office program, and you download a "converter" why will a WPS label file change into a regular word document with none of the Label attributes? In other words, a 3 across/10 down label file becomes a 2 down label file in an 8 1/2x11 sheet? btw - the font is Huge!
oh yeah, and how do I change it back to a 30 label page??
The WPS file was on a friend's system, and she had Works. Now she has a system with Office on it, and I downloaded a converter so she could view the file in Word format. Now, as I said, her label page instead of being 30 per page, is now TWO per page........
BIG HUGS DIanne... I like what Barb said.... So I'll let her speak for me... "Ditto Barb"....well put !
I've never seen a chipmunk before much less an albino one... so will look forward to tomorrow and pray it is a LOT different and much better than today. Suse - now can't wait to read my dmail.... so hoping you liked the book... Bev - very pretty pics.... I bought a red one... I think it is named "Jalapeno pepper"...
Waving to sis Deb.....and all of you... I'll pop back in a bit....
Susan, sounds like it's something with the converter, I'd post that on the computer thread.
oh, there's a computer thread here? I send a c-mail to Dave & Trish......
I'll check out the computer thread....... thanks!!
Andy someone paid for mine before too, there are some seriously awesome people here!
OK Barb I am all ready to join you for your ultrasound tomorrow.Usually the rooms where that test and the MRIs and CScans are given are chilly so I must remember a sweater. How are you feeling?
LK so glad you got to spend time with your grands. How are you feeling? Any more tests on the horizon? Have not asked in ages - how is your hand doing now?
Betty bet you felt wonderful driving a swanky new Cadillac. Hope your car is fixed and will give you no problems.Getting some rest after your very busy weekend?
Need to do a couple of things before I head to the bedroom. Sweet dreams everyone!
Dianne
