What makes life worth living is knowing that with everything going on in this world that is not positive there is always earthly angels walking by our sides offering hope! it's when we don't believe they are there that hope !! We are all so very special.. A challenge to you all tomorrow, pay special attention to how many times you encounter an earthly angel!

with her broken foot it's giving her more time to think about Mike and it's been hard..she is amazing though, she's tring to get out at least once a day..today she was here painting with the girls....ooh she has a canvas about 24" x 48" and is painting orange/red flowers for LeeAnn as a Christmas gift..she is such a talented artist..

Well, I've managed to stay up in hopes of meeting up with the night shift but sleep calls!

What did I learn? Nephew I gave a ride to tonight from Barrie to visit his mom in Midland have a mutual special interest...Civil War!! He's going through hard times and finds it difficult to converse with adults even though he's 44... Just like a young lad...was physically, mentally and sexually abused by step father for many ears, not very social but we enjoyed the 45 minute ride tonight..think I may have to pick him up and take him back to Barrie in the morning..offered to do same any day he felt the need to see his mom..

Betty - So Sad for your nephew! Wondering if this the nephew that stays with your mom? Anyway.... I suppose he has been through so much....I did not know you were interested in the Civil War... so *when* you come this way we can visit Port Hudson.. where they have a museum and lots of interesting stuff... a computer where you can enter last names and see who fought here with the same last name...

Plus we have the D-Day museum in New Orleans...that is HUGE but fairly new.....

Mary, no this nephew is one of Roger's sisters child! This man's evil also took a toll on my niece as well and on one of Roger's youngest sister...poor children keeping such things a secret. No matter how we teach our children to 'tell' they keep these happening to themselves! They were even locked in closets so no wonder they shy away from people


Ohh Mary and Debbie, we'll have to meet at Disney/Orlando in 2017 for the opening of 3D Avatar .. Agreements were signed yesterday with construction starting soon..I will pick you up Debbie, not to worry!

So very very sad about your niece & Nephew. You know my story.....and I can tell you 95% of the time the kids do not tell because they are threatened if they do.....that person will hurt Mom or loved one. This is the same reason I do not do well with crowds....I understand what they are dealing with. Family gatherings cause a complete panic attack....but I am Ok with a HUGE gathering of strangers like a concert of fair.

I have another pre-op exam this morning with my GP. SO, getting things moving and out the door shortly.

Yes, do know your history and it amazes me at all the love you have within you, that it wasn't tainted..these young adults are not so lucky..I did pick Allan up this morning and took him back to Barrie..he tries to hard to appear 'normal' but here and there he says he's not well mentally..heart goes out to him..not sure if I'm to pick him up after work and do same today..he mentioned his mom was cooking turkey dinner tonight so best I call her and check..he would never ask me himself!!!

You know we'll be thinking of you today, getting everything in order for your operation tomorrow morning..

As for Disney..could go earlier, we just wouldn't get to see the new Avatar exhibit..

I'm feeling "okay" Dianne. I know that sounds wishy-washy but that's how I feel. It seems things I eat will not bother me today but tomorrow they will raise He---. Or it's "do I dare try that again yet?" I must admit - I"M HUNGRY most of the time and I know it's because I don't know what to eat and not eat so I don't eat!!!! I should get on the scales and see if I've lost any weight!!

Been busy trying to sew but can't sit for too long without getting up and walking around. It seems to ease some of the ache when I stretch so I find I'm doing it often. However, I have managed to keep up with my BOM and the mystery quilt I'm doing through my LQS. Now I just need to finish getting my kitchen in order before Thea gets here. Can't have dirty dishes in the sink!!!!

I'm off to get some shopping done today. ~~~ Waving to everyone and sending prayers to all in need.

By the way, I haven't forgotten about posting about the rest of our trip to Canada. Between the hurricane mess, and having to have a tree cut down and the grandchildren, we have been kept pretty busy. I'm shooting for next week when things should quiet down a bit.

Betty… thank you for sharing your “family” with us…I enjoyed all the pictures and the one grandson is really the spitting image of you!!!

Dianne…my heart just goes out to you and you DH…I cannot even imagine how you are both feeling. And you are a great nurse to your Sweetie, just look how far you have come already without any help from hospice…just try not to take things to heart when your DH is having a hard day and accuses you of thing. You are doing a wonderful job and should be proud of yourself. Just know you are in my heart and in my prayers. Big big hugs for you both and I will defiantly let you know when I have my appointment in Kingston so we can meet and HUG till the cows go home!!

Debbie…you will be in my thoughts tomorrow and in spirit we all will be there with you in the Hospital. Big hugs for you too and you will see you feel so much better after it is all done and over with.

Evening all, busy day again at the office so didn't get to play a whole lot, spent time chatting up clients though! Lol

Now here I am, feet up deciding to have an early evening. I'm thinking of driving to the city tomorrow night and having supper with Jeff and Julie, spend the night and take Friday off..plans still rolling around this noggin of mine..

Thought a lot about earthly angels! Saw one..young woman a few offices down the hall and I have been chatting quite a bit...today we had coffee, got on the subject of Nashville/Memphis and she askedif I saw the woman in the wheelchair yesterday, said yes..then she began telling me a story...the young woman is 37, gave birth just before
Christmas to a little girl, few weeks later she was diagnosed with having flesh eating disease..both legs cut off above the knees and arms just below the elbow...gorgeous woman...she and her husband are handling it well but apparently her parents are treating her like a 3 year old so Jenny is taking 2 weeks off to bring her on a trip..yep Nashville and Memphis...she will take on the caregiving..what an angel!

Then a few minutes ago Darren from next door came to the door, asked if he could speak to me, I could tell he was nervous..they have been caregivers since early spring to their 2 year old grandaughter..they are petitioning the courts so they can have sole custody..the mother has stated to the courts that the baby has been with her, not so! Know this from all the time I've spent in the gardens watching the young lad father the baby and also seeing the love and care the grandparents have given her. I will write a letter to the courts in hopes of helping...so guess I'm someone's angel today


Debbie, can imagine how nervous you are tonight...know we'll all be praying early
morning..hoping someone will post letting us know how yo are doing..perhaps by Saturday morning you'll be posting yourself from home!

I have been busy...and still haven't packed my bag! Good heavens! Nothing like procrastination! Passed all my testing, and had a good visit with my GP today. She was sending the "fax" letter over.

It has been a whirlwind two days. I can't remember if I posted it hear or not, but 'the child" lost her job, as I thought they were going to do to her. Was not a good situation...just pray she find a new one so they do not repo her car.

I need to get busy...will be back in a bit.

I'm here Betty, just busy doing crafts for another room. Making a scarecrow, and a garden angel out of clay pots. And catching up on some quilt block squares.

Laura, you ask how my hand is doing. It is doing OK, still can't bend the finger as it is still stiff and swollen, but Dr.'s keep telling me it is normal! So I have learned to work with the other fingers. Hopefully one day I will wake up, and it will bend???

Just organizing myself, picked up nephew and had to wait 20 minutes as they all slept in..if it's one thing I pride myself on is being name for work..got here 15 minutes late and I am not a happy camper...did the pick up/drop off 2 days this week, she wanted me to do it today but I'm in the city..I'm more than willing to do it once a week as it outs an extra hour on my day but not every day..is that bad of me??

I bought a pattern for a 5' wooden one..did it about 6 years ago, when I moved didn't take it with me..thought I might play with cutting and doing it this weekend..his shirt was stripes, will look for fabric and use it instead of all the painting...you can tell when I'm all caught up with things, I look for work..might even cut out the Halloween trio I have, pumpkin/cat/ghost that attach to each other and are free standing..few kids on the street, could have them over to do it..miss teaching little ones..now let us see how much I get done!

Paul just called me, Debbie is in recovery until 11:00 Eastern time and will be put in a room then. He said they took out the ovary and the cyst is being sent off for biopsy but the doc said that it definitely looked like a cyst and not a mass, so that's a very good thing.

I'm going to try to catch up with y'all in a bit!

Wonderful news Crissy!! Let's hope the doctor is right..she's been having difficulties for ages..lord answers prayers!

Wonderful news. Sounds like prayers may have been answered. Now the wait begins......for test results and to hear from Deb.

Don't you think these surgeons are pretty sure of the outcome when they look at the growth?? Do you think they would know the results today?

So glad it's all over for her, and she can begin the healing. Prayers are being said for a quick recovery.

Betty when something is sent off for biopsy it's sent to a lab, so no they won't have the results of the biopsy today, it could take a week. Docs can usually tell if something is malignant or not because it looks different, but without a biopsy they don't know for sure, nor can they tell you because that could put them in a lawsuit if they happen to be wrong.

Will be a long wait for Debbie then, did Paul say when she may go home?

Prayers and big hugs for everyone. The new dog was settling in when I left. He likes my cooking. He has his own outdoor room for now as all the dogs get used to each other.

I am back in Chula Vista. Trip was OK but very tiring as there was a lot of road work going on and at times I was lucky to make 25 miles in an hour. Makes a 600 mile trip very long. I'm tired and will rest up today and heaqd up to my friend's place tomorrow.

I'm on my new-to-me computer which I'm having to get uesed to. I like it. It's a Toughbook - recommended cause of all the dust I have in my desert home.
