Got Good News today - Bob's deductible is waived, because our insurance company got in touch with the police officer and he said "They claimed full responsibility for the accident, and if I'd been there I would have given her a ticket!". So, Bob picked up his truck this afternoon and they even installed his mud flaps for him (he just got them and couldn't figure out how to attach them!).
I'm just back from "tooling around" with Jackie, and now I've got 400 newsletters to fold, so will be back later!!

I clean for her since she has mental illness. She has no rock bottom. so if i don't do it then she would get kicked out. We don't want that.

Good news today! :O) ^_^ I get this long screw removed in 6 days! Next Thursday the 6th! I will be the first surgery of the day, so I have to be at the hospital at 6:00 am. I'm so excited!

No. I can't put any weight on the foot until after the screw comes out, then I can't put any weight on it until the stitches come out and they re-xray it. So it will still be the 3rd week in Oct. before I can put this foot on the ground...I CAN'T WAIT!

Cookie, Mom is down to 87 lbs, limited use of the left arm now and my sister told me today, Mom is starting to get more confused. Of course, she doesn't do anything to stimulate her mind so this is the way things will be. I did have a fairly good visit the past 3 weeks or so but even then there were bad days. Keep us updated about your leg. Please take care of yourself. Dad, too.

Marion - I hear the finality in your voice about your mom, and that's sad, but I guess it's the reality that you're facing and that's hard. That's about the size of my mom and she's 92. I'll have to wait until tomorrow to call her cuz she's central time and I'm mountain, but I know I'd like to hear her even though she's getting tired too.

I'm not sure how many of you have met DebbieDaisy. She was at the reunion at Cookie's with Betty a couple years ago. She is in the hospital. Had a cyst around an ovary. It was removed and proved to be benign (That the Lord) but since has lost feeling in her leg and foot and is not able to walk. There is a thread for her in the Prayer forum....Just thought I'd let you know....

Don't think DebbyDaisy was here for the reunion...Betty did stop in once on her way home from FL. This is awful, I can't remember the name of the very nice lady that was with her! Maybe, Debbie.....was it Betty?

I flew up to Buffalo and Betty picked me up at the airport, took me to Niagara Falls (Gorgeous!) and we drove down to your house together, then when we left I went up to Betty's house for a few days before I had to fly home. Debbie wasn't at the reunion.

Barb thanks for posting that over here, just before I read your post I was thinking about saying something, Debbie's having a VERY hard time of it and I can understand why.

LSU is in a big test today. Jarret Lee has led the team to a 4-0 wins and now The Hat said Jefferson will play?? I can understand a 2 QB system as they had last year, but Jarret's doing good solo and I don't think Jefferson is ready yet not because he hasn't any practise, but he needs to IMPROVE on his leadership character. He's sending out the message to the young kids it's okay to break the law if you're a football player :(
I'm sorry that your mum's at that stage. It never feel good accepting the things you can't change, but you that have faith in Him, knows He will take care of your mum.

We're home today, so it's Clean Day - laundrry, moving stuff/tidying, and cleaning, cleaning, cleaning! It's our Thanksgiving on Monday Oct 10 and our 13th anniversary, so are waiting to hear how many are able to make it cuz they're having a family Thanksgiving on Sunday the 10th...... (not the actual day, but lots do "dinner" on the Sunday).
Gotta phone the grocery store to see if they're having a sale on Turkeys!! They ran out the other day when they were on sale, and I know they got more last night!

so much going on here. daughter had emergency surgery on her neck. they took a disc out and fused her back together with a piece of bone and a metel plate. they also removed a piece of bone which had broke off and was resting on her spinal cord, could have paralyzed her. grandson was in a tizzy because his mom was sleeping at the dr. he thought she wasn't coming back.

WHEW!! My friend, who is a bartender, called me and said that she was working alone and the only female in the bar for the game so I went to Hot Springs to sit with her until another employee got there, when he got there he had some ribs that he smoked so I filled up on those, then went to Belk and bought some new shoes for work and a new sweater, went to JCPenney and Dillards looking for a pair of new boots that I didn't find. I got out of the shopping mood and came home, my roast that I started this morning is done and now I'm not hungry, go figure! LOL

Good for you Crissy. Shopping is good for the spirit, soul but well pocketbooks can suffer. My daughter has been looking for some boots (not winter type) but so far they aren't getting any in the store that don't have the spike heals. Not good for a teacher to wear all day.

Had a day out with the girls in my life, GDs, DD. DDIL and what a glorious day it was. Dolphin Tale is wonderful. Well, I certainly enjoyed.

Jaye glad you like the Kings Speech. I watch Mildred Pierce with my sister when I was south--I like it but it does get a little free showing part parts at times. All in all, forget those scenes and the story is great. Kate Winselt did a fantastic job with the role. Don't forget Dolphin Tale as soon as it comes out!!! Truly good.
