Mary, glad the coughing is easing off, do you think it can be brought on by stress?? Sounds as though the job has more stress than the other??

Susan, you sure do get yourself into situations..I agree with Mary, you give knowing full well sometimes it's taken for granted or no thank you given..best you can do is hope the majority are appreciative and give thanks.. Yikes on the bank account being empty..at least you have some resources...let's hope that after your meeting with the men that you'll have a better idea if you'll be receiving $$$ if so could you wait to pay them until 1st paycheck so you don't have to use up your retirement funds?

Learned....that it seams we are going to finally tile our dining room floor.
I am very happy to be getting it done, but not looking forward to the work and the mess!!!! son and I will do the work...hubs will "supervise" as he knows how to do it, but can not do much of the physical work....

but we got a fantastic price on the saw!!!

but I did not get to sew :( ohhhh welll always tomorrow....and I did get a very nice ride out in horse country with my darlin' ^_^

Last night I couldn't get to sleep (jumpy nerve in my leg and while it doesn't hurt, it is ANNOYING! so I stayed up and read the entire book of Whirligig! Wonderful book and well written - I want to check out his other books! Guess I'll need to send it to you now, Betty :-)

Morning all...soooo dark outside, wasn't but days ago I could look outside see how the leaves are slowly turning pretty colors, birds perching and squirrels mouth filled with acorn..today it's just spooky black!

Mary thanks for the linkn newscasters are funny! Know you are in the business and hope we watch commercials so that you will always have employment but I rarely watch..did you know if you made a point of getting up and only spending commercial time cleaning, your house would be immaculate in no time flat! Some commercials that I do watch I think, what were they even advertising? I'm the eldest at work as well, what makes it difficult at times is the boses daughters, quite young and have decided that because their dad owns the company that it automatically makes them MY boss..sometimes I let it fly others I get my shackles up!

Suse, housework can always wait, no urgency in getting it done..walks with Moses is much more the call of the day..yikes, you are much like LindaKay with regards to the heat, you'll enjoy getting lower temps..this morning I put the furnace up to take the chill out of the house but I so enjoy doing it rather than having A/C on and not being able to enjoy the outdoors.

Haven't seen Barb on lately except for few quick lines, sure hope she isn't I'll..can't remember which day she said her appointment

Good morning ladies. I'm sorry to have been so quiet lately. Just haven't been feeling myself. Th doctor says I'm having gall bladder problems and is scheduling me for an ultrasound to see just how serious it is. If very serious, then it means surgery for removal. I do read every day to keep up but just can't seem to sit too long before the pain starts up again. I'm watching all of you though to see who is up to mischief!!!!! So be GOOD.....

Barb, if this is gall bladder.....you will feel SO MUCH better after surgery. I woke up...and wanted steak & mashed potatoes...was literally craving it! They did mine laproscopic. As I mentioned above...ultra sound and xrays showed nothing for my gallbladder....had to have that HIDA scan with ejection fraction...that nailed it.

Gosh, I hate sounding like the medical doc/knows everything...but I have had some not so great experiences...and some great ones. MAKE SURE...they clean your bile duct out while they have you UNDER They didn't mine...and had to go back in after surgery...to remove stones in the bile duct.

Barb started to worry, you know how we are!! Any idea how long before you get your test?

Maybe it was all the 'Timmies' product you ate? Joking of course, want you up and well..just pop in from time to time with a quick 'hi' so we don't fret.

Mary how I'm thinking if you right now..oops going to go to my regular computer so I can tell you a story..

Suse, I'd have to think after listening to all you southern gals talk about the high temps and the humidity that I'd change my winters for it..nope, don't think so...nothing like a walk on a snowday where flakes are lightly falling, nothing like being on a snowmobile, out on the lake looking at rock/ice formations, the ski hills, ice fishing etc...during winter months we are not confined to the house,plenty to do and maybe only but 5-10 days the entire winter that we might be house bound and those days we just enjoy...

Mary, the other day I booked an appt. for a gentleman to come in and speak with Paul with regards to legal issues..he said that I was one if not the most courteous and helpful woman he had ever had dealings with over the telephone and that he had travelle extensively..so booked the appt. for this morning.

In he walks and says he brought me a few magazines and will have staff from the magazine send me a copy each month..hmmm I then find out that he writes travel/hotel/food review articles for major companies and I've been reading them and they are excellent..every month he travels to different locations..Saturday he leave for Australia and New Zealand..wow he's so very interesting..drats he has a wife..lol

Laughing he's in the office with Paul and telling him just how wonderful a staff member I am..

Should I pass him $5.00 on his way out and say 'thank you'? lol

And I was on the REZ for her birthday stopped at the cemetery. That same day We saw 2 eagles!!...Another pretty cool Bear happening: Steve and i were cleaning the boat, lol and I mean REALLY cleaning the boat. I found Jacob's Aunti Bear pendent, he lost it 2 years ago!! He hasn't taken it off since.

While were away had played Friday night, Varsity, did a good game, but they didn't win, phooey! Saturday he played the same team only JV, They creamed them, lol...he got 3 sac, AND an INTERCEPTION and was able to run a yard!! He was sooo excited, lol but he also got flagged for face mask something or other!

I always call Momma on "our Birthday" and again on hers in Nov.....I can hear the Joy in her voice, that I called...makes me feel ever sooo good.....

not so sure I will be the one operating the saw.....Oh I know I can do it as I have done much wood work in my past.....but I figure if we set the saw up on a table, it is something the hubs will be able to do with out causing added pain to his back and / or neck....and that will make him "part of the operation" He so hates that we do not let him do things, that he should not do, hard thing for a man to not be able to do.......His neck and back is in very bad shape...and he most definitely can not get down on hands and knees and lay tile.....so he will cut, as needed....and be the supervisor of the job....

first we have to remove the rug, and then old stick on tile squares, that are now on the floor.....and I am NOT doing any of that today!!!

got to go...hubs says my brunch is ready.....YUM....I am hungry...........

I'm sure he'll love doing the intricate cuts and will feel part of the project! Yikes, rug and tiles then making sure the foundation plywood is nailed every 6" or so means one heck of a time consuming job just to get ready for the tile but end result well worth it!

Perhaps your goal could be to have it done for Christmas...

I think it such nice thing to do calling mom on your birthday ..might try doing same and earning browny points

Thuder I am so happy to hear that you call your mom on your birthday. Once I turned 40 on my birthday I would send my mam flowers with a card saying "what were you doing 40 years ago today?" See loved it and took the flowers and card all through her Srs Apartment building showing anyone who would look.

I'm putting out the word, at church, that I'll be taking orders at the Rent-A-Table sale, Oct 22nd.
I have 4 cakes made (about the size of a bundt cake) and hope to be asked to make more! I'll deliver them about 2 weeks before Christmas so they can have them for presents or parties ahead of time.

That would mean if you got the job with the boys and you got a lot of orders for Christmas Susan, you would be run off your feet! You'll cut one up for people to taste...
