Dang! Celeste wins again!
OOOOH...what did I win? :)
The 'I want to come over to dinner' award. ^_^
Or, the 'Brian is one lucky bast***' award. ^_^
Celeste always wins, she's in a different league. ☺
She's a ringer!
I can tell you in very simple words why I cook like I do. Heritage...im French. Had a 4' 10" white haired grandmother(Memere) who was one of the best cooks I have ever known. Nothing was EVER measured, but always came out perfect. She fed 17 - 25 of us every Sunday afternoon. Thats what you call a mini reunion!
Can't tell you how much I miss those days. ^_^
I'm sure! Great that you continue the tradition.
Do you make croissants and brioches??
Not me..Brian is actually very good at those so he makes them, he's 1/2 French. :)
Celeste, reading quickly, I thought you said you seasoned potatoes with brownies!
You do win,
pizza here.
I make tourtiere, cretons, crêpes, and so on...it's hard to translate in english what they are to people who have never heard these names before.
Hhmmm, never tried that combo Deb. :)
So between you and Brian there is one complete Frenchie?!!
One and a half. LOL
Im almost complete without him. I have french, indian and scotch in me....the indian part is from Canada too so im about 90%.
My father has a lot of scotch in him, even though he is 100% Italian. ^_^
Hee hee hee!
Sigh....everyone's dinner sounded lovely.....I'm getting to really hate cooking just for myself....I do cook for my Mom a few times a week, but she's difficult because of dietary restrictions....
OK.
That's it.
We should all move to a 5-mile radius of Pixie's place.
If the Mayan calendar is right, we should all leave this mortal coil with a satisfied grin.
Oh Boy! New Neighbors!!! YAY!!!!
Only in the summer, Pixie....then I would have to move near Louise in FL!
Robin, you can cook a dinner then separate it into individual portions then freeze for later
I could, but really don't like frozen leftovers....I know, I'm picky, but I like to cook fresh daily......
I had a grilled Panini with oven roasted turkey breast, mayo, tomato, lettuce, provolone cheese and bacon. :)
Oh well Robin, I tried ☺
Leftover chili, I was going to have pork chops...I opened the pack and they didn't smell too good, I just bought them and not near expiration date
Hate it when that happens!
pizza night. Weather is dreary.
Some more of that manicotti, with a salad, that stuff was good!
Bring those chops back for a refund! Maybe the power was off too long for them.....
Yep, brought them back this morning....he asked if I wanted another pack..."uh no, kinda lost my appetite for pork chops"
Whoa, I would have as well......
Fish fillets and french fries done in the oven today.
I wanted to buy some fish filets for tonight but couldn't find any American ones
Pan fried fish, (whole Porgy), DW is having fried Flounder fillet coated w/ a basic flour batter. French fries and salad on the side.
Chicken Parmigiana, italian bread and left over brownies and ice cream. :)
Grilled chicken sandwich on ciabatta bread, leftover pasta/sautéed veggies, and butternut squash.
Made gingerbread today to take to a memorial tomorrow for a good friend who was the salt-of-the-earth kind of guy.
