....and the rain continues to come down!

Marion, you got that ark ready?

I think I had sent it to Pegi but I might need to get it back LK. LOL I had forgotten the ark but if this continues tonight and tomorrow I might need it. Really not complaining as we needed the rain and I am sure LA , MS and northern GA are getting much worse than we are. All in all we are getting a good soaking.

For once, I'm not going to ask you to send the ark this way!!
I do hope the rains stop for you soon, Marion, if not your lake's perimeter would be much more wider!

Sue have you ever made beef jerky or canned some meat? I was watching those 'survivors' that canned their own meat. I can understand beef jerky, but canned hearts?

Think it's time for me to raise my legs tonight. Feet swell up too much and back to walking with cane.

LK, I've been naughty yesterday. Raised my feet for a few hrs., then got restless and took care of house, fur kids, and sewed.
Then I suffered again. My fault of course.

Marion, I sent the ark back a long time ago, don't know where it ended up. Somewhere between California and Florida. LOL I'm hoping I won't need it this coming rainy season.

I'm glad you all liked the poem---I felt sure most everyone had seen it before then maybe not. It isn't mine so use it where ever you wish and I hope it brings others as much comfort as it has me over these past years.

Pegi, oh no, do you think the ark stalled in Texas and was burned? Maybe got in the path of Irene and who knows where it has ended up. Oh well, rains slacked off to day after we received a total at our house of 7.5 inches since Friday evening.

Wow, Marion that will surely fill up that cement pond in no time! Glad it is slacking off for now!

Now Sue, what are you going to do with more bunnies. You know it only takes 2 of them to make more babies, and they do it pretty quickly too!!! (Whistling)

Oh my... the fires in Texas - sure glad there's none near Waco, where a friend of mine's family is.........!

Susan, look again, there are fires with in 30 - 50 miles from Waco. And most of the winds are from the North, blowing south today.

Saying lots of prayers for some rain, and protection for all the fire fighters out there working to save all those homes and livestock!

Today is truly a get my feet up day :( Serious. Last night, both my feet were giving me problems. Such excruciating pain when they decided to cramp up at the same time. Guess I didn't elevate them enough. Yes sistahs.. I am bad.
Leaving all chores alone. Kel will have to take care of the kids and plants before he leaves.
Thank God it hasn't been that hot, so if he missed watering that's okay. He would have to cook for himself too. I need to send a thank you letter to Totino's Pizza!!

Wish I could access DG on Kel's smart phone :( Got magazines stacked, Andy Griffith shows lined.. back to bed.

got a new bunny for my son. Its a Netherland dwarf Steele color. we have a ND chestnut color one both are bucks.
hope to get a female in the spring from the same breeder.
got two other rabbits mini rex but they are not show quality. hmmmm what to do with them ? LOL o k o k i won't do that to my son's pets LOL
got some great honey from the apple orchard down the road... oh its sooo good. With a hint of apple and blossom undertones ... oh so yummy. hope i can get more.
so i have 1/2 bushel of apples with my name on them. doing some drying and sauce tomorrow.

Cookie we are praying for her to cross over with much peace and love . She sure is lucky to have you all with her at this time .
