Cookie, Lord loves your Mum so much and sparing her from any more pain. Her work on earth is evident of what a Godly woman she is. I'll never forget what you told me of your parents assured feelings of the after life. Amen, that you'll see your Mum again in a glorious body.
I too will pray that He gives you and your family strength and especially your dad.

Don't forget sistahs.. 9 pm collective prayers. Your time. Our time belongs to Him, so it truly doesn't matter of the logistics.

Audrey needs your prayers too. Friday, she'll be going for her surgery.
Then there's our Marion and her mum.
Pray for Crissy's Dave, Susan and Bob that they'll be back to paying taxes on their salaries!!
Our Sue here too needs our prayers.
Since it's a Power Prayer, let's pray for all that we come across daily on DG besides the ones that we have physical contact with everyday.

well i went 48 hrs with no alchol and no simple sugars. I ate watermelon and boy do i got bad gasssssss!!! oh Lawdy its bad.
but it was so yummy the watermelon. seedless , sweet yellow one. mmmm mmmm good.
good thing no one smokes in our house ROFLLLLl

Well, time to go make supper - I have loads of tomatoes (bought 2x 25lb cases - $10 each!
Sharing some with friends here, and freezing the rest (oh yeah.... some are needing to be used Now, so will have some for dinner, and toss about 5 out of the 2 cases - not bad, eh?!?!)

Sue, watermelon is high in fructose. Fructose is just as bad as regular sugar. That's why you have gas!!! Lol. Be careful sistah if you're watching your sugar intake. I binged on sweet grapes one day, and that sent me to the hospital!

Susan, that is a great buy on the tomato's! They are about $2.00 a pound here!

Susan, I had never bought any tomatoes this year. Kel's friend had given us some and I have a couple of cherry tomato plants that are producing enough for snacks.

Hope all our prayers helped all I prayed for. Mine will be an around 9 pm nightly ritual from now on. There are so many of us who need the comfort only prayer can bring....

Thank you all so much for the prayers!!! I feel the love! Mom is still here. She seems some better today. We are having to pick up her room charge here at TCU. Medicare stopped paying at midnight on Tuesday, so we're on our second day. $426 per day. Ouch....

That combination succeeded in resting my legs!!

Ladies I won't be on in the morning, as we have to go to San Angelo, so I can have my colonoscopy! I hate this stuff they make you drink to clean out your system! YUCK!!! I will be online sometime tomorrow afternoon!

It's pretty cool this morning, but temps are supposed to hit 90s. Found more buds on other hedychiums, and if we can hang on to 80s for another month, the tropicals will be happy.
It's a strange gardening year, this is. One crepe myrtle that hasn't put out blooms this year, both persimmon trees no fruits at all, and my loquat tree's growth stumped. For sure, next year, I'll be looking for more DLs to replace the ones sacrificed to the heat.

Cindy, the grasshoppers have stripped 1/4 of my brugs bare while leaving others alone :*( There's one without any leaves but so brave in still giving blooms.

Cookie, I hope Medicaid steps in to take care of that huge charge!

Good news and sad news, prayers for all. Couldn't get on the Internet yesterdy for several hours, how frustrating that gets.

Hot weather is still here, but I think Texas has us beat in that situation. Praying that rain comes to help out the firemen and they can get the fires out. My friend in Texas said the fires are about 50 miles away, but they aren't worried too much. They travel a lot and are starting on another trip, away from the fires I'm sure.

Well, off to get DH his breakfast. All have a good day.

Pegi - I hope your friend isn't worried about what will happen to their home while they're on their trip!

The only thing my doctor hasn't suggested is an MRI, Sue. So far, it's longer elevation, and to take an extra Lyrica. Any advice on how to build up strength in them legs, besides going to the gym?
I was thinking of ankle weights, but the irony is, I can't even lift the legs to walk sometime :( It's scary, but at least I can walk some.

Susan, I just mailed out my square. Nothing fancy.

I've been so behind in my crafty stuff.... I'm cutting and sewing up a storm today!

Afternoon everyone! Test are all done, Dr. says I have diverticulitis, and no flare ups at this time. Just have to watch what I set, nothing with small seeds like tomato's, strawberries, and no nuts! Still under the affects of the painpills, so off for a nap I think!

i don't know if i could live with out nuts ??? ..... yes i m a nut for nuts :P

Cookies mom is near the end of her journey here on earth. She says it will be soon.

With a sad heart , Cookie's mom past away today at 5;30 pm. She reached for her and
Cookie told her it was ok to leave . She then went peacefully .
Cookie is doing well considering .

I have some good news - I have been tentatively offered a job - it's with a friend who's starting up a new business. Well, he's been in the computer business before as an employee, then got his own company, but working out of his house. Now he has a 3,000 sq ft store that he's opening Oct 1st. He wants only me as his assistant, and now he needs to talk to his partner (he told him that I'm the only one he wants for the job) and discuss $$ that they can afford to pay me. If they're not ready financially, they may have to ask me to wait 1-3 months, and would have to hope I'm still available. They do need someone, and he wants to meet with me on Wed to discuss it further.

I am thanking our Sweet Lord that when He took her Mum home, it's after Cookie had said her farewells.
Sue, again, when you see her, tell her please that I am assured by faith that God sees what her family is going through, and He will see to it that they will receive the strength and comfort to go through this.
You are so right Sue, this is a WONDERFUL group of ladies, brought closer more than ever now, through a sistah's sorrow....

For every sorrow, He finds a way to gladen the heart.
