Winnipeg, MB(Zone 3b)

good morning - off to my interview in 3/4 of an hour..... getting paperwork ready!!

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Mawnin'!!!
Ahh.. you gave Marion some energy there Sue!! For looks, AB is one might consider, ruggedly handsome. But can that man cook!!

Didn't go to bed right away, did some sewing, to take my mind off food. That didn't work. Heated up some leftovers ratatouille, wishing I had some tasso with that!!!
But it was Billie Holliday that finally put me to sleep @ 3.. in my recliner!!! But this morning, I don't remember when I ended up in bed!! Must have slept walk.

God be with you Susan. Praying you'll land this one, if it's in His will, of course.

Marion, the HeatBond fusible works just as good as WonderUnder. No need to send me some. But since WM has returned to a full fabric dept., maybe they'd stock some.
Thanks sweetie.

Well, LK, I did finish one part of the applique. I'm thinking of satin stitches instead of my usual buttonhole. This will be my first time doing it :D Ahh to maneuver the curves and dips!!

Crissy, did you have a good day at work yesterday? Heard that terrible weather is predicted for Arkansas. Will you be affected, or is that warning just for yesterday?

What Sue requested the 9.00pm prayer hr. for Cookie is such a great one. Let's do that every Wednesday, en masse, shall we, not only for Cookie, but sistahs that need.
I know many of you pray for others daily, but we can do an extra, all send out prayers at the same time on just that one evening.. that would be powerful!

Well, I better get a move on. Tummy's on those gratons, boudins and tasso.. think I'll just grill some tomatoes :(

Winnipeg, MB(Zone 3b)

Interview went well, and I believe I presented myself well.
They would require a 2nd interview and I don't know if/when that would be. They needed someone 2 years ago lol
I'll keep you updated.

Susan Praying you get a call back ........and I can't even imagine you ever NOT presenting yourself well ............

Here is a pic of my 1st Brugs Bloom , I have waited for 3 years and here she is so beautiful ,well worth the wait !!!!!!!!

awwwwww thank you, Synda! There is a lot of competition for jobs, and it's not a "caring" society in Calgary - as evidenced by my being let go from my last job when my DH had lost his job 3 weeks earlier. I'm afraid I haven't much faith that I will get a job that I want without a lot of "pumping up" my resume. I work better than I interview, and although I interview well, it would take a very savvy person to "read behind the lines" during an interview......

Hey Synda, that brug sure is pretty! I bet she smells good too? What have you been up too!

Jaye, I have part of my applique done too, Just a little more and it will be done! I should have it in the mail tomorrow.

Susan, sending prayers that you get the call for the 2nd part of the interview.

Jaye, I like the idea of a Wednesday night prayer for all those in need. Has anyone heard how Cookie and her Mom are doing?

Winnipeg, MB(Zone 3b)

Wonderful brug, Synda!!!!

I'm still waiting for my brug to present a bud.... I know I will have to bring it in (dig up and pot it) and I have another one that is in a pot on my deck (thank goodness, now I can see which one will survive better - the one that stays in a pot or the one I transplant)..... This one is the planted one, and it was about 2 months ago that I took this. It's almost triple the size now.....

I sent a "Thank you" email to the interview I have the email address of, and he replied "It was a pleasure to speak with you as well. I’ll also pass your message onwards to Elizabeth and Shannon."
I like to email them to keep me "on top" of the list of possibles - I think it's a nice gesture and hopefully it helps in this case.
The office is only 5 km (3 miles) from me, so only takes 10 min drive!!

Carrollton, OH(Zone 6a)

Well mine actually stand 7ft 4in now and it is potted ,I set her on the porch when warm weather hits and I bring it in come cold weather.
And Yes it smells heavenly......but like nothing I have ever smelled before. A floral scent w/ a splash of citrus I'd say.
Rick SMASHED his big toe on his left foot a week ago Sunday,so we have been doctoring for that........men are worse than kids !!!!!!!
We went camping with Rick's brother and wife this past weekend down on the Ohio River.

Keep posting when you get more blooms, Synda!
Do you have pics of your camping trip?

Carrollton, OH(Zone 6a)

Synda, that is a nice motor home! Looks like a very quiet place?

(Barb) Manchester, NH(Zone 5a)

Beautiful - so peaceful....

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Hi Barb, is it drying up around you? Hope you didn't get much damage.

That brug is beautiful Synda. Love the twangs! You'll be enjoying its' first full flush.

Susan, when you live in a big city, you tend to get that kind of attitude from majority of its' dwellers unless culture dictates otherwise.
Sorry sis, but I believe Jesus knows what He's doing. Our understanding doesn't matter when He still lays food on our table. I know.. I tend to be distracted by personal 'concerns' too. That's why we need each other here, to prop us up when we're down and to redirect our thoughts.

I found BLOOMS on one hedychium. It's Pink V!!!! Late August, but PTL that at least I get to enjoy some ginger blooms!!! Can't take pics, out of batteries!
They're in the back of the house, so no scent coming in. Still I am one happy gal!!

Oh.. when I thought my job is done for the evening.. its' med times for old Rimau and young Cupcake. BBL.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

What's wrong with the fur babies Jaye? Glad to hear you have a ginger blooming. I don't have any here. I may try to find some and try them next year.

Winnipeg, MB(Zone 3b)

I couldn't believe a phone call I got today - talk about coincidence!
I interviewed this am for a care facility, with a panel, of which one was named Shannon - she set up the interview
This afternoon I got a call from Shannon (from an agency) asking me if I would like to be considered for working for a care facility.
Both places are very close (3 miles for the furthest) and 1 1/2 miles for the 2nd.
The first one is 60% time (.6 FTE) and is a permanent one.
The 2nd one is a "temp to perm" which means I would be hired on as a temp, but if they liked me, they would hire me permanently.
Very much a coincidence that they're both for care facilities, and the interviews would be set up by a "Shannon" and both very close to home and I would interview or hear about them on the same day!! lol

Sounds like the Lord is trying to get me back into a care facility's office as an administrator!

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Susan, that is great news. Maybe she works for both companies? Good luck on the interviews.

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

I tend to believe the same LK. Same Shannon? Let's hope it is. She may be so taken with you at the first interview, that she's not willing to lose you. Smart Shannon, then.

LK, I'll send you some rhizomes in the spring next year. Please remind me. That will be the best time.
Ahh.. Rimau needed his prescription for his thyroid refilled. Then Cupcake has a severe respiratory infection. I gave her some antibiotics before the vet's visit. It went away but she got it back.
Well, vet gave her Amoxillin but in higher dosage than what I had been doing. Could have saved some money!!
If Rimau didn't get his hypothyroid treated, I won't have him for long. He's been treated for a year now, it's like a diabetic needing insulin.. he needs his cream daily.

Winnipeg, MB(Zone 3b)

No, she doesn't -different Shannons (I've now met them both). The one I interviewed with is with HR at Bethany Care Centre and the other Shannon is a recruiter for an employment agency.

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

What a coincidence!! Well, let's hope one Shannon snag you!!

Winnipeg, MB(Zone 3b)

Let's hope....... it's in the Lord's hands now.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Morning everyone! Coffee is ready... Wakey wakey!!!
