My Dear Sistahs,

I need your prayers BIG time. Taylor is sick again. They took 11 vials of blood today, she is so pale and thin. My daughter is about to have a nervous breakdown, she told me she felt like jumping off of a bridge. I told her don't talk like that. They are trying like mad to get her to a specialist in San Francisco. My mom is not helping at all, she is mean to Taylor, thinks she is faking this. Duh how do you fake a 103 temp everyday, do tell mom??? She always calls me and starts saying what brats my grand kids are. I have kept my mouth shut but she has hurt my daughter's feelings by being so mean to the kids. I told my daughter to tell her how she feels but she is affaid of hurting my mom. So who knows how long I will be here. Poor Doug he hates being without me, and I hate being away from him and Harlee.

(((((((((((Cindy))))))))))))) (((((((((((((((Taylor)))))))))))))))) ((((((((((((Taylor's mom))))))))))))
Prayers for all of you.......

(Pegi) Norwalk, CA(Zone 10b)

Sorry to hear poor little Taylor is sick again. Saying a few prayers for her. Why would a young girl fake being sick where they have to take so many vials of blood, I'm sure she doesn't like the poking and proding. ((((Hugs)))) and many prayers for your daughter and granddaughter.

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Crissy! Glad you holler!

11 vials of blood is serious business, even for an adult. Agreeing with Pegi there.
Seems your mother need some serious maturity counselling, Cindy. Can't she understand that she had to let go of whatever thoughts she had of Taylor, and instead, start PRAYING?
Will definitely be praying for Taylor. It's enough her mother and you are frighten for her, and you certainly don't need that kind of remarks from your mum.

I've been busy rearranging furniture and I can't believe the dust bunnies found!
Took some painkillers, and ready for bed.

See you all in the morning!

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Cindy, were sending lots of thoughts and prayers your way too! Please post when you can?

Fayetteville, AR(Zone 7b)

Cindy sending you lots and lots of thoughts and prayers!!! Poor Taylor! I'm so worried about her too.

(Cindy) Auburn, CA(Zone 10a)

Good Morning Ladies,

Thanks for T&P. Last night was a bad one, she ran a 105. Cristina and I were up with her at 3:30. That really scared us. She is ok and sleeping good now. Poor Cristina is not getting any sleep, she called into her work and told them she would be in later. Wished Doug and I could live here with them then Cristina could quit work to be home with her.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Jaye, please check in when you can! I just read there was a bad earthquake on the east coast, and was felt all the way to the Carolina's...
Praying everyone out that way is OK!

Fayetteville, AR(Zone 7b)

A moderate 5.9, how strange!!

(Cindy) Auburn, CA(Zone 10a)

Yes just saw on the news the earthquake, yikes!!! Jaye hope you are ok. Well the blood work came back negative. Doc has now ordered chest and sinus x-rays then will call San Fran doc.

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Wow!! I slept through an earthquake!!

Been having headaches, and I went back to bed after chores. Didn't feel a thing! Found out about the earthquake on FB. Didn't even check the news.. but got it on now.

Thanks for the concern sistahs. The only time I experienced and earthquake was when one volcano erupted in Indonesia.
The side of my mum's apt. building had a long crack but not deep enough to cause damage.

Scary to think, tornadoes.. hurricanes.. and now earthquake will become regular? Jesus helps us all!

Cindy, if the doctors can't find anything, hope they will send her to the best research hospital. Poor Taylor getting pricked and prodded.
Maybe you could stay with your daughter temporarily just to help Taylor, and she can return to work?

Ha!! Is God trying to say something in Washington? Nahh.. the days of punishment are long gone, mercifully.

It's now raining buckets!

(Marion) Havana, FL(Zone 8b)

'It's now raining buckets!' Funny but when it rains here it is usually water. Sorry I just couldn't resist Jaye. Hot, humid and eerie feeling outside. Guess Irene is sucking everything into it's wrath or just a hot, humid summer day.

Hope you are feeling better.

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Na na na na na :P Marion!!
Wish it's raining fabric!! Lol.

(Marion) Havana, FL(Zone 8b)

I told you I just couldn't resist!!! Oh don't we all wish it was raining fabric. I would be happy for some rain...just wet, soaking rain. Keep your eye on Irene, please.

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Just make sure you got plenty of batteries..water.. canned food and a working generator. Marion. Oh keep that cell phone fully charged too.

TORRINGTON, AB(Zone 3b)

Marion - I pray for a gentle, soaking rain for you and your area!
Jaye - for you, I wish FABRIC in every colour but "P" LOL now I couldn't resist LOL Is this "Pick On Jaye day"? LOL

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

I got a pair of BROAD ... ehem.. LOLOLOL!!!

TORRINGTON, AB(Zone 3b)

ehem, INDEED, dear Jaye!!!!!!

(Cindy) Auburn, CA(Zone 10a)

Hi Ladies,

Not too long after nurse called with blood results they called back. Taylor has got mono again. Guess it is time to get her tonsils out!! But she is scared to death of doctors now. When Cristina told her she had to go for x-rays she freaked out. Dear God what is going to happen when they tell her she is going to have to go to a hospital???? Even though we know what is wrong Cristina is still following through with the specialist yay!!!!!

Huge relief lifted off my shoulders. Thank you Dear Lord!!!

TORRINGTON, AB(Zone 3b)

PTL Cindy - Taylor can be cured easily by taking out her tonsils!! (don't need those ole thangs anyhoo!!)

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

If that's the solution to her problems, that will be the last time Taylor would step foot in a hospital.
Now you and your daughter can rest a bit, Cindy. PTL.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Cindy, sure hope they have the proper diagnosis, and can fix this easily? Sending lots of prayers!

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

I won't be on tomorrow.
Will see y'all Thursday, Lord willing. Have a wonderful tomorrow, sistahs.

(Pegi) Norwalk, CA(Zone 10b)

Being poked and prodded by docors and now has to have tonsils out, poor little gal. I just have to tell you I was born without tonsils, and my son too. Isn't that the strangest thing. Praying that you can tell Taylor about hospital, doctors and tonsils in a way she won't be scared. (((Hugs)))

TORRINGTON, AB(Zone 3b)

very strange, Pegi - you must be "the new breed" born without the tonsils we really don't need anyway lol

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Morning everyone! Coffee is ready!

good morning
poor Taylor. sending T&P for her. You too Cindy sure hope things are going well for you and Doug.
Quick check in today
kids first day back to school and its so quiet ! LOL
Hi Crissy big ((())) back to you
Marion stay safe
Earth quake ? i think some people felt it here in Ohio also. You had thunk the ground came and swollowed them up ? by the way they act LOL
have great day to you all

(Marion) Havana, FL(Zone 8b)

Cindy, hope Taylor is improving. She has been through a lots to be no older than she is.

Sue, I think we are in the clear for Irene but Jaye might, not sure, feel more of it than we will. The news said this morning that we wouldn't even get rain from the storm. That is a bummer as we do need the rain. Funny thing, there will tons of college kids disappointed as they had just about cleaned out the stores of beer, chips and of all things.....frozen foods. Ah to be young and the party life....NOT!!!!

Off to finish moving cabinets around and rearranging my utility area. I must have been insane to undertake this.

(Cindy) Auburn, CA(Zone 10a)

Good Morning Ladies,

it is going to be a wonderful day today ^_^ Last night Taylor was the happy, silly, smiling, laughing little girl I remember. Today she is going to help me paint the birdhouse I am making for 3-B swap. She loves doing crafts with me, and we always have a blast.
My daughter is scared to death for Taylor to have her tonsils out, why?? Well I think that she is afraid that something will happen, like losing her hearing. That is how I lost mine. I was 4 when mine were removed. I had a real bad time afterwards, a lot of bleeding and I wouldn't eat because I was afraid it would hurt. My parents did not know that I had lost my hearing. One day I was crossing the street to go to my friends house. There was a car coming down the street and I did not hear it. My friend had pulled me out of the street just in time. I was taken for hearing tests and yup I lost 85% of my hearing. When they removed my tonsils they had ruptured my inner ear at the time and did not know it. I have told my daughter repeatedly that today removing tonsils is a cinch and for her to think positive that Taylor needs to have this done or this mono will just keep coming back. They are still following through with seeing a specialist in San Fran, to see why her immune system is so out of whack. The least little cut she gets always turns into an infection. So now we just let this thing run it course, then she will be back to school and I can go home to my Dougie, lol. He told me last night he misses me lots, lol.

Ok time to get some coffee, wake up grandson so I can get him to school

Fayetteville, AR(Zone 7b)

Sue what I think is funny, which it's not because these people on the east coast haven't been trained for earthquakes, but they did everything wrong!! Everything!! The worst thing you could possibly do in an earthquake is run and that's what everyone did. Sheesh!!

Wow Cindy, I never thought of losing your hearing like that, how awful! I'm so glad you finally have a diagnosis and yup, it's a cinch today and very very common, she will be fine and hopefully this will get rid of all her problems.

Thanks for the coffee LK, boy do I need it!!

Have a good day Jaye!

TORRINGTON, AB(Zone 3b)

Crissy/Cindy - about 20 years ago I met a woman who'd had heart surgery and the Dr "touched something he shouldn't have - her vocal cords" and when she woke up in intensive care, she had a trach hole in her throat. The Dr wouldn't take responsibility, so he ran, and she was left with having to cover the hole to talk or leaving it open to breathe.
BUT this was 30 years ago now, and these things are the Oddities, NOT the Norm.
Tonsilectomies are standard and Taylor and her mom should Not worry. The Lord is on their side, with all our prayers, etc. First, Taylor is young and would bounce back quickly, Second, the medical standards and quality control is Ever So Much Better - Drs do Not want malpractice suits.......
I pray

Crissy to funny. its funny and not funny i agree. Hmmm lets see feel earth move and run into streets where big building can topple on me and cars swerve into me ?? LOL i know i have sick sense of humor .Ca girls are like that ..... right Crissy ? Cindy ? ... am i right ?
Cindy so glad Taylor is doing much better. That is great news
oh my Miss Jaye are you in Irenes pass ? i will do some whip cream shots for you to calm your nerves and eat some cheese cake too for you. it will help ... trust me... Stay safe !
Well kids are in school

hot and humid here.
decided to plant 50% of my plants in grow beds this fall. pots are to hard to care for during winter . then watering in summer is a PITA.
that way don't have to build as many hoop houses.
fall is in the air . Where did summer go ?

(thunder)Wildwood, FL(Zone 9a)

Sue you are ABSOLUTELY CORRECT!!! That's why you NEVER run in an earthquake, but get under something instead! Besides, you run from the earthquake but where are you going to run to???

Sue, it's been over 100* every day except for 2 days since May 25th with very very little rain, I'm begging to see fall! I can't stand growing in pots, too much work. Blah!

How Cute!!!!!

(Pegi) Norwalk, CA(Zone 10b)

Even some people here still do run in street when earthquake hits. Big one hit in the 70's and neighbor man ran outside in his boxer shorts. Should have had a camera.

DH is going in for pre-op on the 2nd of Sept. for gall bladder. Won't be the simple way with 3 or 4 little holes. Will know more when he sees the doctor on the 2nd. Scheduled surgery is the 12th unless something comes up and they change it.

TORRINGTON, AB(Zone 3b)

Do they only have Blondes in California? (have to spell it out, otherwise people would think "the other CA - Canada")
whipped cream shots?
Sue - guess your new outfit didn't go into the magical "shrinking dryer"?! lol
cute guinea pigs!!
Even I, born in the prairies, know enough not to run from earthquakes! You Can't Do It!
Sorry about Tim's expectations on job.....
Pegi - will pray for your DH on Sept 2nd and 12th.. I had my gall bladder out eons ago, but it's much better nowadays, I'm sure!!
Thunder - shopping for fabric to Do sewing? Likely not, but could wish your errands were that.....
Crissy - still praying for that gentle soaking rain for you, with No rain/wind damage....... your plants need water!!

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Susan, that is a guinea chick, not a guinea pig.

Sue that is good news that hubby has jobs lined up!

OK, for one that has never been in an earthquake, what do we do? All the video's from Japan, everyone was running! A few hid under an office desk or something small, that doesn't seem like it would help much if the building were to fall down!

Pegi, please know we will be praying that surgery will be a very quick and successful one!

Fayetteville, AR(Zone 7b)

You NEVER run in case whatever you are running under collapses on top of you, ALWAYS get under a desk. The first instinct is to run but that's not what you're supposed to do. Also remember, the strongest area of inside a building to stand under if you don't have anything to duck under is a door frame.

(Marion) Havana, FL(Zone 8b)

Funny but this sounds like what people due during a hurricane. When the eye is present all is calm and then it come from another direction.....many, many hurt because they think it has passed when in reality the worst is coming again!!!
