Crissy, yes, been sitting here all morning, telephone in hand (almost). Lol and am enjoying the day..these poor floors must get tired of me washing them..now I've a few small projects I'd like to do inside today..by the time they are done my work day should be over and I should be able to pick up my vehicle!

Late night tonight... DS's first day of community college... the truck he has been using broke down so he left it at a friends nearby and I bribed DSD to go pick him up. Thunder - I LOVE the flying pig.... Thea - how cool.... how is it so many shipwrecks there? was it treacherous way back when to cross through that area?

My *one* visit to Canada, I remember my Canadian college friend showing me the church that tolled for the wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald (the song)....
Judy - I have missed something but sounds like you need ((HUGS)) and so sad for the loss of the young man....

So excited for all you friends getting to visit with each other !

Mary, Judy & Steve lost Steves partner/co worker Saturday. And then this young man on top of it...has been a horrible weekend for them.

NO, no nap yet...wide awake!! What the heck. I had 3 hours sleep last night...as Izzy had some major issues and needed out, didn't settle down til 1:30 a.m; and I have been up since 4:15.....DH said my eyes look like I am flying. Have mercy!

Then the boys went down to the market and brought home Honey Mustard Pringles...and stuck one in my mouth. OMG, they are SO good...and so high in salt...I shouldn't have one....so I had six. lol

Tomorrow morning is PT, Nate to first full day of work, and grocery shopping!

DH has the "bike" here and will use that for work this next week until his surgery on Wednesday. OH joy!

Official notice today....NO vacation allowed last two weeks of September, doing mandatory inventory....annnoucement to be made October 1st. Have mercy.

OK, I am going to take a warm shower and see if I can setttle down...not holding my breath.

Yup Susan - I agree.... need to make a Canadian trek. Last visit I was 21 and just out of school ! (that was a COUPLE years ago).

Deb - I thought too I mean seriously !... but walking on eggshells with DH out of town. Drama last night. She's moving to college Friday so I'm not taking any chances.
Will you do the groceries from Nates new job ? Will look good - he's already bringing in business :)

ROFL, I had hersheys chocolate....I think I am covered for a bit. Am thinking of going for a bottle of wine...but it is just not in the budget.

Would you believe I actually go to THREE places to shop. I know, pathetic. I use the adds for Tops, Aldi & depending on season Walmart or a farmers market. And I print coupons off the computer along with the adds. The stores are NOT far apart....so not wasting gas.
Store policy...they can't cash out friends or family. AND most likely tomorrow he will be training on a "dummy" register until he gets a few hours under his belt.

Well, I have to get up early....and be out the door and fighting two boys over the bathroom. SO, I need to get to bed.

Betty he lives in Washington state, very close to Canada border!! Buttttttt I think he would have to ship them to you, as you are way east, he is way west :( it would cost a fortune !!! If you are ever gonna go out that way tho...I am sure I could get him to make you something...he has sold a few pieces, but mostly just does it for fun...

I received a note from Dianne, they are doing OK...were without Hydro and Internet most all day yesterday....so she will be posting soon. ALL is as well as can be right now.

Betty, Paul is OK with it. He knows its the right thing, Nate helps out when he can with chores, and he provides laughter. Both DH & Nate were picking on me last night endlessly and I just went with it. He is a somewhat fussy eater....but he does eat what I fix for the most part. Get this....he eats healthy. I am NOT used to that! No bacon, no hotdogs, no processed ham, no peanut butter, not much bread at all....doesn't really care for pizza. SO, maybe he can help me out in the long run. He does have a weakness for any kind of rice.....loves rice, and Ramen noodles.

Well, I have PT...and need to get moving. Will be back early afternoon sometime.

Debbie glad to hear that Dianne and Warren are ok..thanks for the update..looking forward to her posting! Rare that a child has good eating habits..kudo's for one thing his bio parents did! Yep, he'll put you on the straight and narrow teaching you proper eating habits..wonder if anyone these days eat properly..know I don't! Will though when Barb and Norm get here..lol

Good Morning!

I'm having some coffee and than will go out and start to cut down some monster weeds. SIL is still sleeping. I arranged to have a big container brought out today and will load with all the appliances, iorn and other scrap metal that Tubby kept to dismantle someday and sell. I can separate some of it, but some I'm not sure of so will load and let the company figure it out. The SIL's of the girls in Omaha have the big trailer and we've asked to use it before and they don't want to share, so this fall I will turn the license plate card in and tell them we sold it. They can deal with the license and getting picked up with fake plates. They have never asked once if there was anything to help with. They have a big load of wood in the pasture that I will tell them they have to get out as I don't want to have to mow around. I think or hope to go through abunch of stuff and maybe have an auction in the spring on the excess that is here and will never be used. The deck is finished and we didn't do too bad for amatuers. The less that is here the better, I think it will help get rid of the rats and woodchucks that want to make their home here. Getting rid to the chickens and guienas this fall will help with the rat problem. One of the guys that Tubby worked with is coming out this afternoon after he gets off work and help put the last sheet of metal up on the shop roof. It will be nice to have that done before something happens. The SIL that's here will work on the peak of the house that meets the old house and fix that before he leaves. We won't get the addition on, but that can wait till spring.

I hope this post finds everyone fine and doing well. I think of you often, but just am poor about hopping on and chatting. The weather has been great for this time of the year. It's nice not having the high humidity and heat that we had. You all have a wonderful day and will chat later. Love to all!

I have a little problem with my little man not wanting to go to school.
Odd because he is not clingy. Crys and makes himself just sick on the way
to the bus. And again at school. I thought would be getting better by now but getting worse.
So now I get to sit and worry all day.

Shirley, you've been busy girl..so glad your son-in-law has been helping out, seems you've earmarked all the possible problem areas and are working on them...you'll be glad to see most behind you when the snow falls. Imagine, already thinking of snow, but it's a coming!!
You have to wonder about people, now why would it have hurt them to let you use the trailer?? their turn will come, there is justice in the world, if not this world then the next!

Glad the weather is co-operating, wouldn't be fun working in extreme heat/humidity. Sure do miss you so hope once your 'to do tasks' are done you'll have time to chat with us.

Laura, how very odd..something must have happened as LindaKay says on the bus or at school or perhaps a strict teacher but for him to actually be ill is worrysome.Was he ok the first couple of days at school..is this kindergarden? Perhaps you'll have to talk to everyone concerned, not normal for him to be so upset seeing as you say he's not a mamma's boy. Will the children be going with you on your trip?

Ahhh kittie, then mine shouldn't bother Barb/Norm...probably a neighbor will come and feed and play ..

LindaKay, how are the inner/outer repairs going? Bet you are anxious to get it done before rain comes..do you get a rain season??

Yep, the roof is done, still need to do the sheet rock inside, but we got it done before anymore rain has fallen. We do get a rainy season usually, but not this year. Maybe we will get some in the fall?

Laura - do you think he's being bullied or someone said something about school that scared him? If he's getting sick and not telling you why..... could someone be telling him that he can't tell, and (heaven forbid) that he's being (I hate to even think it let alone type it) mollested? Who do you totally trust that he does Not spend much time with? That person could watch out for him.
Debbie - so good to hear that Paul & Nate are bonding. Also good to hear Nate doesn't like junk food - it's expensive stuff, is junk food :-)

LindaKay, glad work is almost complete..did insurance cover it or did you have to $$$ pay? Are you managing any sewing? When next do you go get your fingers checked and how's your dad..aren't I full of questions this morning.

Susan, some good points for Laura..you just never know, he could have a bully and yes, first thing they'd do is overpower him with suggestions of what would happen if he told...or it could be as simple as he misses time with mommy..not being a mamma's boy because she's always around him but now that she's not there all day with him he misses her, let's hope it's the latter!

I dislike "borrowing trouble" but I know how bullies of all kinds can make a small child fearful.
I Certainly hope it's that he misses his momma. Maybe Laura could help out at the school by tutoring or working at the library as an assistant.

LindaKay, sure beats paying out mega dollars for repairs..been awhile, any news on how your brother is doing?

I used to be a math tutor for English Immersion students who came from a French Only school. And another time I was a librarian's assistant (good ole dewey decimal system, eh?)
This was to help my son get integrated when he was having troubles in elementary school. I was available for the teachers and him lol
