((((((((((((((Sue))))))))))))))))))))
I'll be praying for you sweetheart. Don't stay away please.
Best thing to do is bare it all out with us here. We're here for you. Don't let it all bottle up. Remember there's no problem that's too big that the Lord can't handle.
Love you!

Morning everyone! Thanks for the breakfast Jaye!
Sue, so sorry to hear your life is not good right now, but Jaye is right. If you don't want to chat here, I believe you have some phone numbers, so call someone and talk when you can! ((((((((((((((((((((((((((HUGS))))))))))))))))))))
(((((((((((Sue)))))))))))) I used to have your #, so am going to look for it. You have mine, I know.
Sue, believe me when I say, I understand. I've gone through a bad marriage after 23 years......
I've also been through depression and feeling that I didn't want to see/talk to anyone because "no one wanted to hear about the bad stuff - they have enough of their own". I was wrong, and so are you if you're feeling this way. Please talk to us - each one of us is willing to listen to you either online, or over the phone. We're here for you, darling lady!!
I'm so glad that Sue has our numbers.
One sistah is hurting, we all hurt along.
I just got a wonderful email from a church sister - Elvis singing "No One Stands Alone" I wish it were a website so I could post the link, but I'll forward it to everyone I have email for.
What a blessing this song is!
just popping in
thank you so much my sistah's for all your love and concern. :) ( blowing kisses to you all )
you mean the world to me
the talk we ( DH and I ) had was brutal and honest.
we shall see what happens in 6 months.
time for chocolate and a night cap.... LOL well its a bit early for a night cap isn't it LOLLLL
I've been in depression and I know it makes our lives so much harder. Praying for you Sue.
We went out to visit friends yesterday, guys went fishing and we just sat around being lazy for a while. It has been a year since her knee replacement and she is really doing well. It sure is true that all you seem to talk about is your health issues when you get older. Just wish I could get her back into doing some kind of craft, but isn't interested in it any more. I don't understand people not liking gardening. She doesn't even care if she goes out and waters a plant. I ended up cleaning up a couple geranium plants in a pot, looked kind of nice when I got through and then had to give it a good drink of water. Can't go outside without puttering in the dirt.
So, today is a lazy day, trying to work on a bowling ball, but get side tracked all the time,
Sue, sending hugs and prayers. I think most of us have suffered depression at some time or another. Some get help and well some just don't. Hang in there and do know while I won't pry into your personal life, I will be supportive when you decide to share with us. In the meantime, will constantly be thinking of you.
Many times those "brutal and honest" talks help resolve many issues. Heaven knows, my late husband and I had them.
Pegi, it is sad when someone just loses interest. That is what concerns me most about my Mom. She used to love to read, watch television, always had to have the paper but now...nothing. She is just content to sleep. Not a good situation but my sister and I have tried.
I agree..... I think we all have had some form of depression or another, at some time.......and same here, won't pry...just know we are here if and when you need to talk....(((((((((((((((Sue))))))))))))))
Sending prayers Sue.......
I won't pry Sue, but I'll jujitsu Tim if he makes you cry too much. I'll be the bad sistah!
But in the meantime, I'll be praying..
ETA: Not that I know any jujitsu moves, but I can do a mean karate chop too :D
This message was edited Aug 11, 2011 9:02 PM
and I don't know Karate, OR Ju-jitsu, but I can give a dirty look that'll lay him in his tracks!! I took "Tough Love" when my son was a teen, and Boy can I lay it ON!! lol
(((((((((((SUE)))))))))))) Big big big hugs sweetie!!! Don't go away, stay here and talk to us, like everyone has said it IS the best therapy! Love you!!
I'm busy busy so I'll see everyone in a while.
Morning my lovelies!
Woke up late, body refused to co-operate. Arrrggghhh Tylenol to the rescue this morning. Practised some jujitsu moves, for just in case. But I know I won't be needing them as I am certain Tim would see the light ;)
Any man with enough intelligence would appreciate a wife like Sue, who's so hardworking, willing to help with the family's income, and such a great mother to HIS twins.
Crissy, you've met Sue. Ain't she the most patient mama you've ever seen, and definitely a lovely woman in all ways?
Think we are old enough to sniff out 'fake' personalities, and Sue ain't one.
Pegi, did you get the envelope with the seeds? It was mailed Saturday, hope it didn't get lost.
Too hot for coffee, so a cold glass of OJ and some apple turnovers.
Besides Tylenol, got to rub some alcohol over these mosquito bites. They come out in full force after 9!!
Awwww LK.. I am soooo sorry!!! Did it flood the room??
Goodness, hope it won't cause you too much, to redo the ceiling and replace the roof.
We had a bout an inch of water all over the kitchen! Guess I needed to mop it anyways!!! LOL!
I would have been crying, LK!! Then find an insurance adjuster that I could bribe with home cooking and hope he'd agree to file a report that it's weather related :( But I know you and I won't do that.
Knew of someone who convinced the insurance guy that the dents in their trailer was caused by a bad storm. The guy wrote it off as such, when the truth was the owner and a few friends put the dents themselves, so he could use the money to move to another state.
First it's Stacey that had her basement flooded, then Judy.. now you with the worse financial scenario :(
(((((((((((((((LK)))))))))))))))))) I'll be with you in spirit to mop that floor.
Thanks Jaye. It sure did scare us when it came came crashing down. It started raining a hard about 11:00pm, and it was about midnight when that ceiling fell! We both jumped, and said, OH NO!!! We grabbed the trash can, and put under it, but most of it hit the floor before we knew what happened! We learned that dry wall turns to mush when wet!
OMG Linda, now you must be so careful not to get mold. I'm so thankful the grands had already gone home.....Wish there were some way I could help....
Thanks Barb! I am glad the kids are back home too!
Got to look at this in a positive mode, right LK? It's not a tornado that swept the house, God lets you deal with a roof. I'm certain you and Todd didn't realise you both have it in you to move fast when the occasion calls for it!
LOL! You got that right!
I worried every time our winter rains came, didn't know how long the roof had been put on the house. Well, some "wonderful" salesman said it needed a new roof and what was I to know, not too many trusty people around. At least I don't have to worry about the roof leaking, but will be in debt the rest of my life. I think I would just about come unglued if my ceiling fell in. I don't handle things like that very well.
Jaye, I did received the seeds, thank you so much. I did send you an e-mail, maybe it went into cyber space like a lot of my things do. I'll have Brazlian hollyhocks next year all over the yard, I hope.
Went to Home Depot to see about paint rejects. The gal told me they set out paint every morning. Well, the quart can which was $1 is now $2 and the gallon can which was $5 is now $7, but I'll have enought paint for a lot of projects. Just don't stand too close when I have a paint brush in my hand. LOL
Hello Ladies,
Sue I know depression is NOT fun. I went thru it with my daughter after her 1st child was born. She did not want to have anything to do with the baby. All she wanted was me, I could not leave her sight not even for a second. I got her help and come to find out (this just makes me sick to my stomache) one of our close friend's daughter molested my daughter. Cristina never said a word to me all those years because the other girl threatened her with bodily harm. She is fine now, but it was horrible to go thru.
Oh man LK, what a bummer. But glad you are ok.
Well I have tendonitis in my wrist yay :( Doc gave me an injection but said it would take at least a month before all the pain is gone. Glad I don't have to have surgery on it again. Need it to work on my birdhouse/s lol.
Hope you all have a good weekend we are going to a biker b-day party tomorrow 125 of us wild ppl LOL.
whoo hooo - wild biker ppl!
LK - they're right - watch out for mold!
Y'know how one thing leads to another? Well, rotted deck boards, led to finding sinking of porch (which caused den wall to separate a bit from ceiling). Fix sinking, and in doing so crack a joist in the deck - fix that. While fixing that, part of free-standing wall cover (hardy board) came loose. Bob will fix that. While looking where it came loose, see where insulation has mold (all of this outside folks - except for the "den" part). Will need to remove casing on outside door to replace moldy insulation and reset door.
All because of a non-injury fall by yours truly through a board in the deck..... Well, it's before cold weather hits and while Bob is off work. God moves in mysterious ways....
Yeah, funny how one thing leads to another, and another!
Cindy, it must be horrifying ordeal for your daughter. Thank God you're there for her.
Yes, I read Bella has pups. Wonder how many Donna's gonna keep.
Did you get the frog that I mailed c/o Doug?
Pegi, I finally opened my email. I hope Darwin is getting a few chuckles.
Susan, you're lucky that Bob is a master fixer!! You'll be at least saving money of labor.
Too tired to go on. Think I'm coming down with a head cold.
Good night sistahs.
Not only $$ on labour, Jaye, but $$ on materials, thanks to a church sister that gave us all the Spruce we needed.
Oh yes Jaye I did. Thanks so much it is so cool ^_^ love it. The other one is at mom's :( need to gather all my outside stuff up again. Doug and I are talking and figuring out monies looking for us a house. There's a 4 bdroom now for $90,000 but we are not in a position right now to buy drats!!!!
$90,000?? o my....... houses are surely inexpensive there, in CA. Maybe I should go to Susanvville and buy a house LOL
Wow, a 4 bedroom for $90,000, wish I had found something like that. Houses are usually so high in California. What a good deal, we bought a repo for a lot more and had to invest money to fix a few things. I heard somewhere that homes in Austrailia are the most expensive any where.
Well I just found another one I like it has a garage just what we need it's only 2 bedroom but so love the kitchen and master bath room. With nothing down our payments would only be $369 a month. It's $47,500 Hmmmm must get Doug on the ball and apply for VA loan yup yup sure do, lol.
Where is everyone today??? Here is a link to house Doug and I want to buy:
http://www.homes.com/listing/146202978/1181_E_22nd_St_MARYSVILLE_CA_95901
Afternoon everyone. Just taking a quick break. I had my youngest son here last night and this morning. They left about an hour ago. Then my oldest one will be here tomorrow till Wed.
Cindy, sure hope you can get Doug to apply for that loan?
That is such a great deal, hope you can swing it. Be sure it doesn't need a lot of repair work, like a roof, etc. Homes must be a lot cheaper in Northern Calif.
Cindy, if Doug qualifies for VA loan, that's good. The rate should be low.
At a price of $47,000, do you know if it needs repairs?
Or the prices have really come down in Ca?
Over here, it's impossible to find one at that price, unless it's falling apart! Too many rich retirees make the housing market unrealistically high!
LK, your sons are checking on you eh? They're worried about their mama.. awww...
Have you and Todd done something to the roof, the part that leaked, to prevent any more rain from getting through?
Sincerely wishing you an easy roofing and ceiling job, and that the cost will be bearable.
It rained today and my hoses took a break. But my stomach is affected badly from eating too much sugar!! Lolol!!
My brother from Singapore had sent me some Asian cookies and boy did I gulp them down in one sitting!! Can't blame me for missing home.
Then my sister from France sent me boxes of those good choccies .. all arrived at the same time with my brother's box. Yep.. I got greedy and ate that too.. didn't finish them all though.
Even though I took more insulin, the body went into a shock from all that sugar.. and I've been having the runs!!
Plus a head cold doesn't help neither!
I know.. being old doesn't mean I'm getting smarter!!
See you all tomorrow. Good night ladies!
awwww Jaye...you silly girl....you should know better than to do that!!! yup I know easier said than done......I am that way with Ice cream. Just got to sit and eat the whole thing!!!! so I do not buy it very often !!! hubs is that way with a bag of chips!!
hope you feel better when you wake up (((((((((((((((((((Jaye)))))))))))))))))))))))))) big big hugs
