Yay.. sigh... finally got on here. Tried umpteen times yesterday and couldn't get on.

Thunder, the heat didn't kill all the baby grasshoppers. The only plants they won't touch are the gingers. In fact nothing would bother the gingers till they start blooming, then come the moths.. butterflys and bees.

Crissy, sorry about your EEs. Your heat is just as bad as mine. It's still in the triple digits here.

Susan, I hope they pay you. You were let go as they didn't need you? Gosh, that simple act of looking into filing cabinets/drawers must be an alien thing to the new replacement. Oh, I forgot.. your old office environment rather have co workers who are incompetent and selfish.

For the past two days, beating the heat, I've been up and watering since 6 a.m. Going back to bed and catch more zzzs.

Jaye their wilted and laying on the ground but they've been in the ground for 5-6 years so hopefully we'll get some rain today and they'll come back.

Rain?? I haven't seen any of that in months. Which reminds me, I better get out and water the garden. I think the squash plants are a thing of the past, don't know what I did wrong, but there always is another year to try them. Will probably look into winter squash and see if I can do better with that.

So far it is very cool out, love it. Have a couple plants to repot too, plus I'm working on creating a bowling ball with glass globs. Glue & I don't get along too well together.

Pegi, we planted squash one year and although the plants were beautiful, lush green with tons of blooms they never developed any further. Several people around here had the same problem with the plants. I think we had all purchase the same variety of sets and they didn't did work.

Send some cool this way please.

Go to a room that has the coolest colours, and they say that can drop your temperature from 2 to 5 degrees F.

.......will I go to the light blue? soft lilac? light green? So many choice here. Atleast I know to stay away from the laundry room...Colonial Gold--Kim's choice to match wall border. Not a color I like. LOL

light green would be my bet, cuz it's a forest colour, and we all know forests are cool. Light blue could have the sun in the sky, and that would be hot LOL

Okay, then I will head to my bedroom for the day! Can I nap? The light blue is on the back of the house facing the lake so it is almost always cool.

Has anyone talked to BJ in awhile? I see her on facebook now and then. And Phyllis too? what is she up too lately?

OK, lunch break is over, back to the sewing.

Hi Ladies,

We were having such nice cool temps now it's getting back up to the 100's ugh. We are going to a b-day party at Swabbie's on the River. Looks as if our biker club will have most of the place taken up. So far 124 of us are going to this party. We are getting ready for our camping/party trip to the Redwoods again, then Street Vibes in Reno the end of Sept.

I will be going to the doctor Friday to see what is wrong with my right hand. It did not heal right from the surgery. I have a hard time turning door knobs, using a fly swatter simple things like that. Every morning when I wake up it is real sore, then it eases a little as I move it but boy it sure hurts when I make wrong moves with it. Also going for hearing and to get new hearing aid. Doug was tested today but is just 2 points below in order for Medical to cover. Medical sucks here in Calif. Doc told him in about 1 1/2 year he'll be deaf enough for Medical to pay for it. He also told him that he would give him aids now for $600 and $50 month lol like we have that kind of money.

Cindy - sounds like your hand needs oiling lol Got any WD40? LOL

Sorry to hear it is not healing properly. Pretty sad you have to be totally deaf for the insurance to kick in!

Cindy, you might need therapy for that hand. Let's hope it's not some nerve damage.
Yah, health care is pathetic. It truly need to be revamped and especially policed! There are people who abuse the system.

Cindy I'm so sorry about your hand and Doug not able to get his hearing aids, it's not just CA where the medical insurance sucks, it's here too. Hope they can fix your hand, I have tendonitis in both my thumbs so I can relate!

We can only pray that our politicians stop acting like spoilt brats and start caring for the poor majority!!!! No matter who got voted into office.. somehow the air in Washington will taint them!!

I m really struggling with depression, it has been going on for some time.
last night it just got worse. i realized some things and just can't take much more .
My marriage is not doing well.
so i m not going to be online to much chatting.
