Sorry, I don't live anywhere near San Antonio. I'm on the Baja - south of San Diego. Mexico is a big country.

It's only been in the low 90's today but very humid and no breeze. I'm exhausted and will hit the sack early. Still recovering from trauma but I'i'm way better so thanks, everyone.

Tony will be back tomorrow and I can watch him work and, every once in a while, point at something for him to do.

Definitely need to get that dang passport. Never been to San Antonio and would love to go with ya all.
Day 2 of Radiation down, hurrah! Tomorrow after DH's treatment we have our weekly check in with his Oncologist. Meds need to be tweaked and I have a couple of questions that need answers. I feel like I am caught in an awful position - having trouble knowing the times when to coddle and when to prod DH.And yes Betty I am exhausted both physically and emotionally.
Mary now I have to look at the Acadia just to see what you are talking about. I have to have 4 wheel drive because of where I live.
Safe travels on your trip Betty. So glad Ann is going along with yoou. Please give Judy a great big hug from me please,

Dianne, you are in a hard position. You coddle and push at the same time. It is definately not an easy area...and a fine line. Lots and lots of hugs....

Mary, this sure is a dream....would love to be able to do it. I have to go to nieces wedding at 3:00 on Friday...reception to follow. I would rather go to the Fair....I want to go to the Fair, I have missed it four years in a row now....and 3 times was for weddings!!! Including my daughters! lol

Morning all, gee whiz, leaving today (total 5 days) and had so many things to do!!!

Put the 2 mats on their respective decks and looks so pretty..gives one a cozy feeling..home'y..

Groceries for house sitter Cathy, washed all the floors, dusted..heck, just in case something happens don't want someone seeing dust bunnies when they come to empty the house..aren't I terrible..always give the house the once over every day when I leave..somewhere I must have picked up a phobia about it..

At 7:20 am all was done, car packed, even deadheaded the hanging baskets and here I am waiting for the day to end..Mike and Darlene are driving Ann to the office so it will save me travelling all the way home to pick her up and back..that would take about 2 hrs....

Did a few trip tiks for her, she likes to monitor where she is, smart girl, so hoping that all goes well today and that we can get to Flint Michigan, if so, we might just drive north 1/2 hr. as Ann would love to see Frankenmuth (year round Christmas village) then we could heat towards Chicago and get a room just prior to entering citylimits..Saturday would be a day spent laughing and hugging with Liz and Judy and whoever else JUST might make it..

Susan, looked at your photo's..omg what beautiful country..bet you are going to go back camping in some of those locations..what a feeling to wake up and see such beauty!

Well Today is My DS Jacob's 16th Birthday!! He's into extreme frisbee, so i got him a really good frisbee and a pair of them sports undershorts, lol...he has a pair and washes them by hand every day, lol so now he has another, holy macaronies them things are expensive. But I went to the off season section, and got them for 19.99 instead of in season 35-49.99!!

Rain made it to us finally and has cooled down a bit.
Betty DH has been to Frankenmuth and says hard to explain but beautiful
Yep I have a quilt on my floor frame and quilting by hand. Takes alot of time but turn out nice.
Never heard of extreme frisbee but I have played frisbee golf and that is fun.
Family stuff going on here hard to talk about.

Dianne, can understand the position you are in..sad to say I was in similar situation..while Roger was in his last days all I wanted to do was coddle him, he on the other hand didn't want to see anyone, we sat on the bed beside him with curtain closed pretending we were not there..he couldn't bare to see what was in our eyes he said.. knew I loved Florida, told the boys next time he got sick they were to send me Florida ...lol..

btw - speaking of sightseeing - I just watched a video I bought in Glacier Park re: Glacier and Waterton Peace Parks. I have some updating to do - f'instance:
At Logan's Pass we were 6,680ft above sea level - no wonder we were in the clouds among ice and snow fields and glaciers!
The yellow alpine flower we saw is the Alpine Lily and it takes several years to get through the ice (up to 8") and bloom
Ghost Island is actually called Wild Goose Island (ooopsie!)
At the beginning of the park (eastern end) is St. Mary's Lake, then it was 10 Mile Long Lake until the furthest west end where it becomes MacDonald Lake (we didn't go that far).
The "chipmunk" is actually a Golden Mountain Ground Squirrel
The Mountain Goat is really a Goat Antelope (although everyone calls it a Mountain Goat)
Logan's Pass is named after the first Wildlife Ranger
The long thin mountain up by Logan's Pass is called the Garden Wall
Waterton National Park (Canadian side) does not have any glaciers! (it's tallest mountain is over 9,000 ft!). Go figure, eh?
