Ha!! Katie I can't let this job go like this any longer, I have an interview with a different agency that will pay me for the same job. My job thing has nothing to do with Dave's job thing.

Dave applies for jobs every other day, he's always on line looking, I didn't mean to make it sound like he's not looking, he is big time and is always putting out resume's and he IS getting phone calls and interviews but the problem is his age for one even though he's about 20 years younger than his years, and 2 he's very Californian and we're in Arkansas, unless he can find another Californian it's going to be a tough road, one of the reasons I took a state job, so I wouldn't have to deal with that. It's not the not finding a job that I'm having a problem with, it's the constant I'm getting because he's depressed, I don't mind helping out but when someone screams in my face and cusses me out because I'm helping them is when I have a problem and I told him to either straighten up or get out.

After that battle he DID get a call from Slime Tire Sealant in Pismo Beach, CA, the factory is moving here to Little Rock from Pismo Beach and wants to phone interview him at 1pm on Monday, if that goes well he'll meet in person with a personal interview in mid August. He's going to hire someone by Sept 1st and this person will go with him back to CA for 2 MONTHS to assist with the move, the factory will go live on November 1st.

Me and my boss are friends outside of work so I know he understands that I'm not giving him an ultimatum, I'm just letting him know where I'm at right now. There has to be a happy median somewhere in this.

Oh Crissy, so hope Dave gets that position, think all would go back to normal if he did..you've been with that company what, 6 years?? Hard to change over but you have to look after what is in Crissy's best interest!

Have you spoken to your dad? How are things progressing with all the rebuilding, bet slow moving..

Bettyyyyyyyy, you didn`t dance hard enough today!! We barely got any rain and it just made everything even more humid. AC time once again…all winter we wait to sit outside and enjoy nature and come summer we are back stuck inside because it is too darn humid and hot…lol…never can win.
Oh and I looked how far it is from here to your place…well a weekend trip with the car is out…would take us way too long with me requiring frequent stops for my hip and back…BUT there is always the plane or train…cheap flights to Toronto…just not sure how far that would be from you or if it would be too inconvenient for you for pick up. Never know…you just might have a guest one weekend, for crafts and talk and relaxing. Same goes for you…welcome to fly to Ottawa and I pick you up!!!

Crissy not sure if I could keep up with you, Debbie and Betty!! You three seem to be such whirlwinds and I might end up being your ballnchain…lol…maybe after I get my hip and back sorted out I can run with you!! Would love to meet everyone from here!!!
Crissy I can`t believe how little your salary is (no offense), but for what you work and with your schooling it should be a lot more. I would suggest you move to Canada, pay would be a lot higher but uhmmm jobs are pretty spares here too :)
Had a good laugh at the company’s name where Dave applied for his job “Slime Tire Sealant” (crossing my fingers he gets that job) LOL…so funny sometimes what names pop up with certain occupations or companys…lol…uhmmm my gyno’s name is Dr. Deeb…and our accounting company we deal with is “Swindler & Swindler” LOL

Debbie, I just love your hummer pictures…I tried to take pictures of them but they always seem to be out of focus!! What’s your secret?? I have to confess I was like Betty when I first saw the thumbnail of the flower/hummers “OH never knew there is a male and female of Rose of Sharon”…LOL
Hope things improve with your family, because if Momma is not happy, the whole house is not happy!! Big hugs for you. Oh and you sure have a handsome son and uhmmm your Brother inlaw is eyecandy!!! lol

Dianne, I am so sorry to hear about your DH. My prayers and thoughts are with you both, miracles do happen and I truly wish you will have many more happy and healthy years together. I hope you have lots of friends and family that can help you both in this difficult time. I live between Winchester and Russell, in a tiny 450ppl town about 40 minutes south/east of Ottawa. VERY close to you…about 3 hours or so. Big hugs to you both.

Mary, do you need to bring the your hibbies inside for the winter? I had 2 beautiful ones last year and tried to overwinter, but they got spider mites and out they went!! Hope you get things smoothed out with your kids as well!!

Awwww Bev…you have a lot on your plate right now…take one day at the time…and maybe you could try to find each day something that makes you feel good…may it be a flower or a little bird singing or something you smell or eat or something you touch…be aware of your 5 senses…and whenever you find those dark clouds coming over you…remember how good you felt using those senses and try to repeat them. That is just something I learned to chase those clouds away. Big hugs to you as well and of course there is always the possibility to visit us all here in Canada!!!

Katie would love to see some pictures of your flowers and trees and fruits that you grow (if you wouldn`t mind)…I am always in awe what people in other climates grow and how they grow it. Also big hugs to you and my advice to you…stay away from negative people, they just drag you down and try to make you as miserable as they are :)

The a, how many hours drive did you say you are?? Have to go check those towns you mentioned! Are you having your hip done any time soon? Toronto airport is only 1 1/2 hrs away, hop, skip and a jump..doors never locked, always room..

The a, just after the rain it got so humid you couldn't breath..once you get used to the house at it's temperature you even feel it's hot and no air..I emptied dehumidifier 3 times today, must do it again before heading to bed..

The a how close to the Rideau Canal are you? Son has been kayaking it for last 2 weeks..couldn't be more than a 6 hr drive would it be?

Betty, my town is Morewood and I just looked it is 6 hours 41 minutes car drive from you. For me a bit too long to sit...I can go about 1 hour in the car then I have to walk and stretch for a bit...lol...makes for LONG trips.

Not sure when I will get my hip fixed...I am still waiting for an appointment to see the specialist, my doc said my hip needs to be cleaned out (have rough edges from Osteo osteoarthritis)...no replacement yet. I will be seeing a specialist in Kingston because the wait time in Ottawa is 1 1/2 years...lol...so Kingston doc is probably 1 year or so...YAY!!!
Rideau Canal is about 45 min. from here (the part downtown Ottawa).

Try it one time with the 5 senses...just be all aware of how it feels/tastes/sounds/looks and smells...makes me happy inside :)

Thea that's what happened with me too, I got 1 centimeter of rain. OOOOOOOO WEEEEEEEE!!!! Thank you so much for that laugh, I'm sitting here thinking about my deli dude, he would be a serious help with this job issue right now, uh hem, and this job thing, and Dave's outrage and I just started bawling! I'm $10,000 a year underpaid, that's about $3.00 an hour. I've been needing to change my contacts for about 7 days now so maybe this is good, tears ruin these contacts real fast. I haven't cried since Tiga died at the end of January. They sell the Slime Tire Sealant at Wal Mart, I believe. LMAO that's great!!!!

Promise me you will take this weekend and take care of Crissy - do some things that will pamper you and make you happy.Doesn't have to be expensive even a sit outside looking at your gardens would be wonderful and serene. Heavens people pay big money to go away and do that. Do you still have your ATV? Get out there and burn off some energy, gas and just plain have a blast - YOU DESEVE IT.
Betty hope you have a good time at Kempenfest. The last time I did that show I was floating over the top of bay holding onto 1 leg of my KD. That was the year we decided never to do that show again.We did have the best KFC we have had in years there though. We walked across the street from the hotel and got a Family Pack - with our cooler and mini nuke it gave us 2 dinners and a lunch. Haven't had any since so that has to be at least 14 years ago. Think we are about due!
Thea I know your town - I live in Verona which is south of Sharbot Lake.Verona is right on Hwy# 38 midway between SL and Kingston. Be interested to see who the Ortho surgeon is recommended to you in Kingston. I have had LOTS of experience with that department the last few years.DId you check wait time in Barrie? A friend of mine from Verona went to Barrie for her knee replacement - all she could do was rave about how wonderful and attentive everyone was both in the hospital and for the 3 week followup after ahe was dismisseed from the hospital. She was lucky she had a BIL anad SIL live in Barrie so stayed with them.
Getting excited Barb? John surely must be excited - new job, fancy work truck and vacation days all in a short period of time.

Morning all, going to be a quick one, lots to do and I leave in less than 1 hr.

Dianne, a few of the vendors I know said they had a good weekend financially last year and well worth coming back this year! Guess the bay development has brought many to the event for the entertainment as well as craft show ! It will be a hot one thus my reason for getting there and leaving before the masses arrive and also with the beach development parking very limited. ann will not be coming as in other years, her daughter is going through difficult times so she'll spend time with her today..Cathy enjoys going so I'll have company, besides she says someone has to help carry my treasures..not much I want, perhaps a few pieces of metal art if the vendor is there!

I would think there are some parts of doing shows you miss

Thea Dianne has a great idea, Barrie is a great hospital..if you are in mega pain then I'd say call Tuesday, besides you are right in my neighborhood..a place for your hubby to stay while you are in the hospital and I can visit

Crissy, sending big hugs, yep atv ride with wind blowing through your hair is just what is needed, leave the cares behind...I think wages are much less in USA, maybe recently because of the economy..not so sure our cost of living is higher either..

Well I just had a very odd thing happen! I was playing a computer game and Dave came in and said, "Here's your quiet time Honey, I'm going to Jason's to discuss his lawn care needs with him then I'm going to go into Malvern and mow and visit, probably won't be back til 1ish." I was like WHA???? LOL so here I sit with my Bodyguard CD in waiting for the mail to run because I ordered a Katie Perry CD from Amazon and really want to listen to it.

Jeanna and Joe showed up at the door last night, about 5:30 with "get dressed, now". I was like WHAT? I am dressed. No...not for the fair!! So, Jeanna & her hubby took the old mom out for the evening. We toured the animal barns (which you know I LOVE) and had a cheeseburger. I am really trying to eat better....so of all the evils...that was the leest evil! lol
It was nice and relaxing although quite hot!!

No, it isn't very quiet here yet....well, let me rephrase that. Is is EXTREMELY quiet here as no one is talking (kids). "The Child" is up to no good....and I see it coming. I am waiting for a conversation that goes "Mom, I am moving in with Amber" (Brittanys brothers girlfriend) who has two little ones....so I can help her and we can share an apartment. Now, I see Shannon using Amber & Britt against each other...they were good friends...but...this isn't going to end well.

DS has to work today until at least 4:00....so that part will be somewhat peaceful. That leaves me alone at home with DH. Sigh. You can't have it all. LOL

For the moment, I am home alone....DH went to his Moms, "The Child" is at a friends house for a birthday party for a 3 year old. And DS is working.

I have music blasting...and might just dance a bit! haha

Wow, talk about one heck of a hot one..smart of us to get there around 8am, even at that time parking was at a premium..by the time we left you could travel miles with cars parked on sides of road, medium and fields, absolutely anywhere there was a few inches some type of vehicle would park!

As we arrived I saw that my metal vendor was not there..that about did me in..told Cathy our best mode of attack was to walk quickly to the end and work our way back..lo and behold almost at the very end was my vendor, oh happy days... I bought 3 pieces, silver at the moment but by late fall/early winter they will have rusted..think I got a small flower, large bud just opening and hmmm a large flower almost open. He was gracious enough to let me leave them and there was emergency parking, when living tooted horn and he rushed over with my goodies...just before then while walking back to the car I found the loveliest chandelier which will also rust..just perfect for the 'secret garden'...few other presses and it was time to leave.

Have pop and few other things in the car, I'd best get them out..this heat is beyond reason, wouldn't want pop exploding!!

Well mine came back home. I made myself a BLT after I thawed the bacon that I forgot to thaw LOL!! OOPS!! Dave made himself an egg, bacon, and cheese sammach. MMMMMMM

Thank heavens my teeth are all still attached....so long as my head doesn't fall off (which is questionable lately) I am good without thinking twice on if I have my teeth in.

Every time I think of that...I have to laugh cauze of my Mom telling me false teeth come from dead people. They pull them before they are burried....and use them for false teeth. THEN would leave them on the bathroom counter in a glass to clean. I would not even go in the bathroom.

Fast forward to Mom here on Hospice care...and I had to take care of her teeth and get them in and out of her mouth. I swear she did it on purpose!! The last couple days...couldn't get them in, she wouldn't open her mouth. Funeral director told me not to worry about it...he could get them in no problem. Ummm...dead or not...he didn't know my Mom. He took me aside and "Deb, I am sorry...I couldn't get her teeth back in for nothing...never had this issue before....but I put them in a container so she has them with her." Here I am in the funeral home...laughing. She always had the last word!

Oh Debbie, splitting myself laughing..I've had mine since early twenties when kidneys went on shut down and teeth just decayed..remember we went to Beausoleil Island about 15 boats, I was terrific at skiing one ski only, there in the boat along with Roger 2 other guys, all trying to make me fall, one was making gestures and there went the teeth, guggle/gurgle to the bottom of the lake, fine fix I was in..lol
