TORRINGTON, AB(Zone 3b)

You won't be seeing me for about a week - heading out camping tomorrow am, and won't be back until 29th/30th - dependant upon weather.
Will have my cell on, in case I get a call re: job or interview.
Have a great week everyone!

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Have great time camping!

Bessemer, AL(Zone 8b)

they put a plate and 5 screws in cookies leg. she is hurting and can't put any weight on the leg for 3 months

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Wow, sounds like she broke it pretty good! Please tell her were sending lots of love, and prayers.

Just wanted to give you an update on my Brother.
He has been in contact with an old hunting buddy of his back home, and he knew what was going on. Well, he convinced Jimbo to go to the hospital to get some help, so his daughter called the cops last night, and they showed up with an ambulance and took him off. he will spend at least the next 3 days in a mental institution for evaluation and go from there. So it is a big relief to everyone, and for him. Praying he gets the help the needs!

I will be gone be for most of the day. Going to San Antonio for Dr. appointment, and to get the two grandsons for a week.

Later

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Oooh, I'm too late to wish Susan a good camping trip and hope it will be a dry one.

Thank you Sis Kathy for letting us know. She's in our T&P.

Cookie, if you could wheel over to the pc. We miss you and please don't try to force yourself to move around too soon. Things can wait. Isn't it great that instead of a bell, you have your cell phone to alert Bill?
Hugs my sistah.. if this were to happen to you last year during the gathering... you'd have a bunch of yours at your beck and call.

LK, PTL, that's the beginning of much needed intervention. Funny family can't convince him and his friend could. That's a big relief. I sincerely hope your brother gets spiritual help too.
Have a good trip. You sure need some distraction this weekend.

Sue, I'll be looking for a used dehydrator at the thrift stores. Mine went kaput years ago.
Now you got my interest going into making my own seasonings.
Instead of regular salt, I'd like to try sea salt.
But first, I need to start a herb garden :D

Was out at 8 and it's already in the 80s.

good morning
thanks for FYI on Cookie. sending T&P to her
Susan have fun camping
LK sure hope he can get some help soon ! T&P to you and family.
got some soup mixes made and dried herb salts.
did tomato's too. love them !!

Good Morning Ladies,

Just taking one day at a time here. Trying to get over my heart break. I love Doug with all my heart and it just hurts so bad the way we ended it. I still need to go back and get my plants and asked Doug if I could and he said if that's what I want. I told him I thought it would be best, but told him I would like to talk things over. I want to stay friends with him mostly because of Harlee. She misses him, I see the sadness in her eyes. My friend Calvin has been a god send. We work so well together and get along really good. It's nice to have a male friend that you can talk to. Mom said beings he is doing all this work for us around the house that he can stay for aslong as he wants . So we are going to do all the things mom has been wanting to get done, paint the house (outside), put up new lattic for wisteria to grow on, and a number of other things. Calvin said to make a list, lol ^_^ big mistake!!!!

We are going to Kid Rock/ Cheryl Crow concert Tuesday night, then on Aug 4th we may be going to see Toby Keith.

I am at my daughter's helping them pack for DISNEY WORLD!!! Yup they will be there for 7 days. So I will be watching their place while they are gone.

Going to be getting Wave Broadband internet and Tv hookedup next week. Need to get my mom off of dial-up and DirecTV sucks anymore. With internet and tv thru WaveBroadband we are saving about $50 amonth ^_^

Fayetteville, AR(Zone 7b)

Dish is much better than Direct, I had Direct in CA and when we moved back here we got Dish, got to tell you I've never had a problem, it's wonderful.

OOOOO Have fun at your concerts!! I know they will have a great time at Disney World!!! Nothing like traveling across the US!!! Love It!!

Cindy I know you love Doug but his anger streaks or moods or whatever they are, are just not ok, I'm sure you know that. How old is Calvin? LOL

(Pegi) Norwalk, CA(Zone 10b)

So much going on in eveyone's life. Happy to hear your bro is getting help, LK, Pray that all turns out for the best.

Cindy, one day at a time is the only way we can proceed with our lives at times.

(Marion) Havana, FL(Zone 8b)

What a way to start the weekend..a/c unit died!!! Of course it is 38 years old but the very nerve of it to give out now. LOL Thank goodness we have fans in all the rooms and lots of trees for shade.

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Cindy!!! What can I say, but this: I truly wish you the best in life and (((((((HUGS)))))))))).
Maybe a little time away will make things clearer. For now, I thank God that you still have a home to return to.
One day at a time like you and Pegi had agreed upon.
Meantime, so many others need you. Stay in control of yourself sistah!

What an irony!! I got a couple Chinese frog charms, thinking you could use it, since you love going to casinos. So.. according to Feng Shui, it too will be good for personal life.
Hope it does its work for you. Hang it in your car, if you want to.
Yep, I should have packed your box. But I've been having headaches and can't concentrate much. It's my fault, not Kel's, so I'll get the other frog to you. One should be easy right? Do you need any fabric?
I've seen Toby Keith.. you have fun!

Pegi, it's 105 right now. :**( Even my tears are burning hot!

(Pegi) Norwalk, CA(Zone 10b)

Sorry everyone is getting such terrible heat waves. I complain about our heat waves and it is nothing compared to everyone in midwest and east. Guess I should include south.

They just don't make air conditioners to last, huh Marion? We only have ceiling fans plus small fans and they seem to work fine, so far.

Jaye, I was so shocked when I was told sea salt had more sodium than regular salt. I checked label on my sea salt and they were so right. But, I figure you don't need as much sea salt so it evens things out. My solution and I'm not going back to regular salt.

Fayetteville, AR(Zone 7b)

We use sea salt at home and it really tastes better!

I'm at 112* right now, in Arkansas

Glenview, IL

Hi...

Sorry to be away for so long, But, just know You Sweet Sistah's All are in my thoughts and Prayers
EVERY Single day...

Boohoo, my son is packing off for Football Camp...will be gone for 4 days!! LOL, doesn't leave until Monday @4:30 AM! So we have been trying to keep up with his stuff...

Then, there's the craft table, lol, it's in complete disseray!! UH, as it's not only has about 5 different projects going on, the very end is the folding space, I'm telling it's a little crazy...Almost done with a portion of some Computer stuff...lot's of Copy and Pasting, lolol...hahaha, I'm such a copy cat!

So here is kind of out of the blue Question...What color is your kitchen? Do you have a round, square or oblong table???
LOLOL, No reason, I'm just being nosey, as usual.

(Marion) Havana, FL(Zone 8b)

Okay be nosy is you want to...my kitchen is blue with a round table.

Oh Judy, you will survive the 4 days my dear....trust me. LOL

(Barb) Manchester, NH(Zone 5a)

And mine is blue/green...With an oval table
Anyone else????

Fayetteville, AR(Zone 7b)

My kitchen is beige with a round granite table

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

He'll miss you too, Sistah!!! Especially the food and snacks at home!

Hmm.. what are you up to? Sistah, it's okay if you don't do one for me. My dining table is in storage. In it's place is a 8 X 4 craft table. Kel and I just eat in front of the telly.

(Barb) Manchester, NH(Zone 5a)

Sounds like a nice dining table to me Jaye!!!!! An 8 X 4 full of crafts sounds heavenly!!!

Cookie is out of surgery and got some pins and a plate ? she can't put any weight on it for 3 months !! poor thing
Ric and i will head over there this weekend and help her out.

Hey
friday i spend most of my time getting ready for farmers market
our drink menu is
Ice Coffee with whip cream and cocoa sprinkles. i was thinking nutmeg but ???
Lemonade with peaches and mint
Ice Tea with raspberrys and mint
Sweet tea
i have some garlic also to bring and sell.
i hear thunder on the horizon , hope we get some rain.
we raised our prices to $1.00 and plain is .75
i m pooped

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Laughing out loud here!!! Barb.. only another crafts person would appreciate that table!!! Hehehehe.. even Kel agreed to let that stay in the kitchen. At first I had plans to make use of one end with just two chairs. Now it's one chair, and it's my sewing chair!!!
I do have a sewing room, but not enough natural light. Moreover, it's much more convenient sewing in the midst of life!! The oven, the fridge, tv and the cats!!!

Sue, she'll appreciate having you and Ric over. Do give us gentle hugs for us please.
There's a farmers market in another town, about a 25 minute drive, and all they have is elephant garlic. That's not garlic. I like the peppery taste in real garlic.
Your drink menu sounds good. I'll omit the nutmeg, since it's cold coffee.

(Pegi) Norwalk, CA(Zone 10b)

Sue, you are such a busy gal, don't know how you keep going.

Kitchen is a celery color green, getting around to repainting it. My table I got from my mom has two drop leaves and 4 wooden folding chairs fit into storage space under table. That collects everything, just like the dining room table. I have an apple theme and I've got to quit collecting apples, NO more room for them. Jaye, you are my kind of gal, we eat in front of telly too. Such a bad habit we got into from the very beginning. Well, the kids and I ate at a kitchen table cause dad was gone most of the time, either working or getting into trouble. LOL I have a craft table still in a box in the garage just trying to figure out a place for it. Too bad I don't have an extra bedroom now, or I could get rid of the dinning room table and set the craft table up there. Then where would DH throw all his baseball type hats he always wears.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Jaye and Pegi, we eat in front of the TV also. Our kitchen is beige, with a round wooden table, but it is covered with rooting plants, and fabric.

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

How was the trip LK?
Got your grandkids all settled in?

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Trip was great, and the kids are in the middle of the living room floor, playing with all their super hero actions figures!

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Marion, sorry to hear all your appliances are going out, now your AC! Please don't get too hot in the house!

(thunder)Wildwood, FL(Zone 9a)

My kitchen ...in the little bit of spaces that is painted is Red, White...and..............Black,,,now I just know Y'all thought it was gonna be blue didn'tcha!!! ??? I am very lucky to have lots of cabinets, they are not wood, but they are "wood look" that is what color is more than anything else.....and I do not have a table..have an island.

dining room is connected, it has one blue wall, two walls that are "twilight",which is a very very pale tan/beige, with pinkish undertones....dark green carpet, rectangle table, painted like a parchesi board., and there is a picket fence, against the blue wall...a bird cage in each of the two back corners...

Marion, hope you are not "cookin" with no AC !!

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Morning!!!!!!!!
RW and Black? Thunder, that's a stunner combo for anything!
Please take a picture of your wall. Sure would love to see what you had described. And that faux parchesi table.. pretty please.
Had painted one wall in my Singapore kitchen with rambutans, lychees, chikus (sapodillas), soursops and sections of starfruits. All local fruits. Ex thought I was crazy! Lol.

Awww Marion.. it wasn't too long ago when you bought your washer. I'm glad you have plenty of shade, but hope your a/c is still functioning.
Good excuse to sip plenty of Long iced teas..

It showered for 3 minutes yesterday afternoon.. enough to wet the top foliage :D Thank God I had deep water all plants before the teasing rain.

It's $5 off $25 purchase day at Dollar General. Good day to get some kitty food!
DG offer this once a month.. not much but all the canned kitty food is much cheaper than WM. And y'all know how many I have!!

Have a good Saturday. Enjoy your grandkids LK. When they get old enough, be prepared to hear the words "Can I borrow your car?"

BBL

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Morning everyone! Jaye, I bet your kitty food fund is huge?

It rained last night, and it feels so good! The humidity is at 95% this morning, but the temp is still only 77 right now, so I can't complain, The grandson's were out running in the rain last night, it was so fun to watch them. Then we had a pretty, almost night time rainbow, and that was pretty.

Thumbnail by taters55
(Marion) Havana, FL(Zone 8b)

Good morning..I think it is still morning....did get the a/c fixed! It was a drain line that had gotten clogged. It shuts off as a safety issue. Best part, cost nothing, zip, nada...thank goodness for a service contract!! So all was cool last night! Kim and I getting ready to take a load of book from her collection to the local library.
Chat later.

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Pretty rainbow.. never seen an ugly one. Once we saw a double rainbow but no camera.
At least your grounds are happily soaking away. ALL kids should enjoy playing in the rain. I still do!! Lol.

Yes my pets/rescues can make a huge dent in our budget. But a friend supply us dry food weekly, so all I have to get are the canned food they get every other day. For that, I'll mix 3 large cans of dog food, chicken flavor, about 50 cents each and stir in 4 cans of 9 lives (40 cents each) then pull out the plates and yell "come and get it"!!! Lolol. Only cat that's fed can all the time is Rimau, my oldest, who can't chew.

I lost the youngest rescue last night. Died in my arms at midnight. Cappie didn't painfully gasp on her last breath. Just stare at me with her big eyes and stopped breathing. All the while I named the brothers and sisters she'll get to play with in Heaven's garden.
I did all I could for Cappie, but just too sickly. Even antibiotices couldn't save her.
Kel was working last night, and I fear Cappie will die on my shift.
I was hoping he might be able to sneak away and call me. But they have strict rules on personal calls so I didn't expect his calls.
One hour after Cappie died, the phone rang. It was Kel.
He cried when I told him that the baby died. Then he said he was calling while on the road.
So happened a guard fell ill and his supervisor him to use the prison's car and drive this man home.
Amazing isn't it, how God makes ways to comfort sorrow?
We are now experts at kitty mourning.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Awe Jaye, so sorry to hear you lost Cappie last night! (((((((((HUGS)))))))) You may be experts at kitty mourbning, but it never easy to lose one! So glad Kel got the chance to call you!

Marion, so glad your AC is fixed, and no charge at that!

Glenview, IL

Wow, I love the sound of your kitchens!! All the colors are great! ROFLOL, Thunder, i was so laughing, yep thought you were gonna say Blue!!
Haha, so glad my kitchen table is not the only one to be a catch all...It also serves as DH's desk...
By the way, mine is yellow...table is an antique dinning table, lol way to big for the space, but serves for many things! And i already told you about my craft table, which is also an antique, when it is clean, lol very rarely, we enjoy eating at it while watching tv.

Jaye, how funny about your table...We too, eat in front of the telly, arms of chairs serve very well as table, lol or the little side table work well too!
Wow, an 8x4 craft is Awe some!!!!

Sue, Please tell Ric & Robin Hello for me! Awe and also give Cookie a big Arm Wrap, yikes, pins & plates, that is one heck of a break...

Marion so glad you have A/C again, yeppers got to love free service!!

OMG, you all I had a visitor yesterday!! LOL, it was a walking infomercial guy!! So I usually send solictors on their way. But this guy was so cool, decided to hear what he had to say...He was selling this cleaning solution, OMG it is BAD A%^%!!! ROFLOL, We had him come in and show us, me and the kids... proof of it's work right in various spaces...OK, Thunder, you've seen my bathroom, Well when the guy sprayed it on the wall and wiped it clean, i was SOLD, on the spot!!
Didn't think of even asking DH if i could get get, just bought it...Then proceeded to clean the shower/tub area...OMG, sure wish it was that clean when you were here...Even Steve was like, OMG I was thinking about redoing it...Now it looks just like when we put it in 13 years ago!!! So now he says he's gonna re-seal, i said amybe you should show me how to do it, lol so it gets done!! Gotta load pics/just unbelievable!! Well, I bought the house hold special...2.5 gallons.
you put 1.5 of the soulution and the rest water and clean away, I kid you not, it cleans EVERYTHING...hahah, i will be a cleaning fool just to see it work.

And what perfect timing, it's been POURING down rain since early last night, about 11ish...We've a swimming pool for a basement!! So high knock the pilot out..everything floating, thank goodness, i had most in plastic buckets, welll again we are forced to "clean" the basement, sigh.

OK...Happy Saturday, going to go finish cleaning the Bath, lol, now that the shower/tub is sparkling the rest looks like crap...
oh and I gotta load my pics.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Judy what is the cleaning solution called? Is it called green soap?

Glenview, IL

No, Linda kay, it's called Eco Orange...

OK, so...i just loaded photos, going to show you before, which is really nasty and LOL feel like I must explain!
This is the Kids bathroom, They "clean" it best they can. But mostly it just a disaster!

Anyway, I have a really big problem with breathing in the chemicals from most cleaning items, so keep in mind, I don't clean/clean all that often!!
And with 3 teenagers, 2 girls and a boy in sports, plus our live ins and all their friends...this gets bad fast!!

This is what sold the product to me! Infomercial guy did is "test" on a spot just above the first tile!

Thumbnail by Seedtosser1
Glenview, IL

and YUCK...one of the jets, needless to say no one has had a jaccouze in years!

Thumbnail by Seedtosser1
Glenview, IL

And drum role please....
Tadah, a mom scrubbing with the Wonder cleaner!

I kid you not, it only took about 3 hours..No one single issue with the breathing and it took all that mildew, soap scum, you name it, off in a matter of seconds after spraying...I used only 1 spay bottle, which cost about 27cents...and whatever it cost for a a scrubby sponge.

Thumbnail by Seedtosser1
Glenview, IL

the jet...
OMG and Not a single streak.

LOL, I am in love with this product!

Thumbnail by Seedtosser1
