I called them right away, and told them what was going on! They have a court order for him not to come in contact. But he is not listening.

Hope your headache gets better soon Jaye!

TORRINGTON, AB(Zone 3b)

I hope they get your brother the help he needs, Linda!

Jaye - hope your headache settles down and you get some relief!

(Barb) Manchester, NH(Zone 5a)

Sorry to hear you don't feel well Jaye. This heat is affecting everyone...

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

I couldn't rest!! :( So much on FB to keep up with!!

Kel got me some Zyrtec and the headaches got worse.
My forehead throbs all the time. At least the nausea is gone and so did the dizziness.

Barb, I think it's the smoke. I can't stay indoors all the time, and the mask just irritate my face.

Susan, LK.. I did cut out the applique patterns though!! Yay.. progress. Now to choose the materials with this throbbing.
Lolol.. and I can laugh!! Yay.

LK, another good action contacting your family. Your brother is will be in throes of self pity.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Yeah, when I told him I would not send him money to go to Michigan, he said so many bad words, then told me I did not love him, and on and on... I said I am sorry, but my first concern was the safety of his wife and kids. Now he thinks we are against him. I ask if he has scheduled the court ordered counseling, and mental evaluations? Again, I can't repeat his words. But now he now knows we are not going to support his angry ways.
All we can do is say our prayers for him to go seek the help he needs.

((((LK))))) i m so sorry to hear of this news. :( i sure hope his wife and kids are safe !
the bad news is his anger won't go away until she is well..... i know this state of mind with my ex. But that is just my experience and volunteering in a battered womens shelter for many years. Sending many many manyT&P to you and family.
please call me if you need anything or anyone to talk too. i know many of the sistahs here are already at your side , i just want you to know you got one more :)

PJ/night gown swap interest thread is open. Come and check it out please?

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Don't you give in LK. Your family is fantastic!! Standing up for what's right.
Wow.. it's an emotional day for you today. Wish we're closer. Then we can take your mind off your brother. Stop wringing those hands. You have done what should be done, and now you have to concentrate of securing your house further.

err Sue.. ever thought of selling your special spice blends?
You might hit goldmine!
Heat like this makes the Sahara looks so inviting!! Lol.

I kept losing my balance tonight and made Kel checked my bp. It was waaaaaaaaaay too high!!! I should be having a stroke!!
Kel accused me of not taking my pills regularly. I had!!! So I took out the pill organizer and showed him the empty slots. Then I told him maybe I should take an extra Diovan.
Shazam!!! The Diovans weren't included in the organizer!!!
For weeks now I have unintentionally skipped Diovan!
I'm truly losing my mind :(
So I hurriedly take the 320 mg, along with the 80 mg. An hour later, my headache had subsided.
Yesterday, I experienced a severe chest pain. I didn't tell Kel because he would rush me to the hospital.
Maybe that's why I had SEVERE headaches.

So check your pill boxes sistahs, and make sure you're taking ALL your prescribed pills.

Going to bed now.. with a little red wine to calm my nerves.

Love y'all! It will be a better day tomorrow.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Oh Jaye, glad you discovered it now before you had serious problems!

TORRINGTON, AB(Zone 3b)

Jaye - thank God you discovered this!! If Kel had taken you to the hospital, you likely would have had blood tests and they would have also asked you what meds you were on. THEN they would have told you the level was low for your having taken Diovan! So, you discovered it a day later! But then......... I suppose you saved some $$ from Not going to the hospital (I'm playing "devil's advocate" here........). But, sistah, that's what hospitals are FOR! Cuz you're Not A Doctor, my dear sistah!
Thanks for the caution to make sure we're taking all meds. Thank you brother Kel, for following up on our poor sistah!!

(Pegi) Norwalk, CA(Zone 10b)

DH takes a lot of medications, it is a wonder he keeps them straight. If you don't concentrate when putting the pills in the right slots you can run into trouble. Glad you got that straightened out, Jaye.

DH has to go for a PSA blood test tomorrow so maybe I can talk him into going to Home Depot or Lowe's to pick up the paint I need for my metal stand. Might as well check to see if they have any paint that customers didn't want. I have more styofoam containers to paint and really don't want them all the same color.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Pegi, I love looking at the rejected paints! Lots of colors, and it is really cheap!

TORRINGTON, AB(Zone 3b)

absolutely the only paint I look at is the "rejected" pile at the home improvement stores.
I also go to Habitat For Humanity's ReStore cuz they take paint, and sometimes the big box stores send them the 50 gal pails and if I'm repainting some part of my home......... well! They don't take paint that's been frozen, etc, so I know it's good.

Fayetteville, AR(Zone 7b)

OMG Jaye that's seriously scary!! So glad you figured that out before something even more serious happened.

I have never thought to look at rejected paints! DUH!!

(Pegi) Norwalk, CA(Zone 10b)

I have to have everything pointed out to me I guess. Hmmm maybe I can find some for my living room and hallway. Can't wait to look at rejected paint now!

Fayetteville, AR(Zone 7b)

Pegi I do too, wish I could have an original thought of my own but I guess it's all for not. Oh well!

TORRINGTON, AB(Zone 3b)

lol you ladies........ really need to be Scottish, y'know - we're the cheap ones who think about these things - recylcing, unwanted stuff, etc.
I really like Habitat's ReStore cuz they have stuff that others don't want, at a Really Great price!

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Talking of rejected paints!
My ex decided to paint the old family home. It was pink, and you all know how I suffered looking at it.
I chose soft buttercup yellow from a paint list, thinking of replacing the roof with a vermillion green.
Ex went to Lowe's (without me) happily picked up some rejects, ignoring the brand and color.
Saving him a lot of $$ and had his nephews help in painting the house.
I was at work when he did that, but he did call me and said that he found the yellow.

Couldn't really tell the shade of color, when I return that night, but it seems to me a tad brighter.

Well sistahs.. did the crap hit the fan the next day when I inspected his work. It wasn't a soft yellow, but ultra bright ... caca shitty yellow!!! Many friends and relatives asked me why I chose that color :( Told them ex picked the color since they're on 'sale' and if they're not happy, contribute then towards another repainting project. That shut them up!
So far up to now, he hasn't repainted it.

Yes, sistahs, my memory is certainly poor nowadays. I'll just have to line up the bottles and fully complete the organizer before I do something else.
The temple throbbing is gone, now comes another worry. Will I get Alzheimer?

Yes Susan, I am so lucky that Kel loves me so much.
Our health system here is so pathetic. I am so glad that the Lord held me for another day till I found out the cause.
If not, we'd be owing more to the hospital.

Cookie, if you're reading this... allow Bill to spoil you. Hope you are getting extra help. And thank Bertie for us please if she's checking on you now and then.

TORRINGTON, AB(Zone 3b)

(((((((((Jaye & Kel))))))))) you two are so perfect for each other - the Lord sure knew what he was doing when he "hooked up" two Christian souls.
Well, is Kel colour blind? Can he not see "ultra bright" not being the same as "soft buttercup"? LOL y'know they say men are more likely to be colour blind than women, and more men are colour blind than those that aren't......

TORRINGTON, AB(Zone 3b)

I just found out - 7% of men are colour blind, and point 4% of women....

Susan, Susan.... an 'artist' can't be colour blind!! Lolol.. poor Kel. But it wasn't him.

It was my ex, Harris!!!! Poor man is still wondering if that's the pivotal moment when I had to leave the marriage!!

TORRINGTON, AB(Zone 3b)

LOL well, I guess I didn't read the post properly LOL
Poor Harris...... but glad he found Jesus, even if it was after the "paint job" and you left him (is it appropriate to laugh here? LOL) God loves us to laugh, so I guess it is LOL

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Yes laughter's encouraged here. We sure don't want to upset any sistah's colons but yes, we want to promote good feelings and laughter's the best way!
Susan, I still laugh about it!! The color stood out for miles!!! When the crops are harvested across the house.. it exposed the house to a subdivision which is about 4 miles away. The house stood out like a little kaka yellow box!!

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Jaye, you should see some of the house colors we have in the neighborhood. I think they go to the flea market, and just buy whats on sale. Some are bright green, one is pink... I will go get pictures. next time I am out.

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Good LK!
There was one house in Breaux Bridge that I am sure had caused a few whiplash.
That house was painted purple with gold roof. You guessed it.. LSU colors!!! The owners were forgiven of course!! Go Tigers!!

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Hmm. think I'll call ex and suggest purple roof!! LOLOL!!!

good day to you all
well i have the dehydrator full,
freezer full of peaches ,blueberrys, strawberrys and raspberries.

Fayetteville, AR(Zone 7b)

Sue you are such a hard worker, you should come to my house! LOL

Jaye LOL LOL LOL LOL!!!! I can just see this house a yellow baby poop color!

garlic jelly is a BUST
the sugar really over powers the garlic taste.
maybe my garlic is not good ?
soooo bummed
it wasn't cheap either to make LOL sheesh

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Oh no! So sorry it did not turn out!

(Marion) Havana, FL(Zone 8b)

Jaye, your old house would have fit in perfectly in Austria. Every other building was paint this "old gold/yellow" . Can't remember the name of it at the moment but it will come to me.

(Pegi) Norwalk, CA(Zone 10b)

Home Depot only had one gallon of paint that was a reject, decided I didn't need it, but took a quart can of "tan" for $1. Couldn't pass up that and Behr brand. Well, I'm sure I'll have a project for that color someday. Got a dark blue spray paint for my metal stand. Hoping I can get at it tomorrow. They don't have a clearance plant stand either, so bummed over that. So, guess it is over to Lowe's cause I know they put plants on clearance and hoping to find some more cheap paint.

I've seen some really shocking colors on homes around here. When we bought our house it was pink with nasty pink carpeting inside. It is now a mission blue which looks a whole lot better.

i just finished cleaning up after all the mess today in the kitchen
roasted some yummy veggies
sliced up my stuff for drying , they are still in the dehydrator.
did the garlic jelly, didn't do any good yukky. to sweet no garlic flavor ?
had to roast all the garlic too !
did 4 doz corn. got 6 bags
cleaned up dishes two loads in dishwasher
then cleaned floors
vacumed
oh i m sooooo tired and my back hurts

TORRINGTON, AB(Zone 3b)

awwwww and I was gonna ask you to do my place next......... :-D

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

It's okay to laugh Crissy!! Baby poop is the right description!! Lolol!!

Well Maid M, I don't have any German nor Austrian blood so I don't see bright yellow unless it's in quilts!!!

Pegi, mission blue is much preferable to a broad expanse of pink! I used to name the old house Pepto Bismo Central... then I called it the Maison a la Caca!!

Sue, don't give up on the garlic jelly pretty please!!!

Fayetteville, AR(Zone 7b)

Oh Sue bummer it didn't turn out right!! I hate it when that happens, and it happens a lot to me for some reason.

OO Pegi good idea, tan is a good neutral color!

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Think we all need a trip to Ohio.
Would be a double mission..
1. To help Cookie
2. To comfort Sue

TORRINGTON, AB(Zone 3b)

you're paying, Jaye? LOL

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Just wishing, Susan.. that's free :D
