Going to take more measurement of how big a dresser for back room can be and buy one all put together, surely you can buy put together...no way I was playing with those drawer slides with a zillion anchor holes in the sides trying to figure it out..I do a lot of things but this will not be one of them...you all know I don't give up on much so just goes to show you that it is not as easy as the salesclerk led me to believe!!

Debbie, thanks, there are a zillion holes where the 5 drawer tracking goes, has to also click into the drawers..little icon instructions doesn't tell you which holes to screw into, where the guides go..poorly done as far as instructions go!

Bought it in barrie, seems senseless to go looking for a dresser today seeing I'll be in Barrie Monday!

Nice that they feel part of the family Debbie, have a few of the boys friends that still drop by...mom just called, said she feels like she's having a stroke like the last time..just had aspirin..told her to get herself to hospital if she's feeling as she was last time..then asked me if I put her afghan together yet?? How much of the slate rock did I think I could get in my car..wants one ..... Where are her boys that have a truck?? Then, how come I'm inside on a beautiful day, kind of day I should be out doing things that need done!!

Thanks for the warning on the iPad with the heat. I had a cell phone onetime, I left in the truck, while I was in a Dr.'s office for hours. The screen was a really weird color , and I could not get anything to work. I took it to a sprint store, and I had to buy a new battery.

Not sure why the warning but Kyle went on iPad site to show me the warning! Says he wasn't out that long but it was on a chair in direct sun.

Norm and I are on a break Betty and are cracking up laughing at you. My word, you can be so funny when you are bored!!!! Actually we are done with thehouse. It's as good as it's going to get. Just need to run over the floors in the morning. AND NO!!!!! We will be coming to see you-not the house. I have relatives that you would swear sometimes walk around with little white gloves to see if I dusted or not. Don't see them often but I'll be darned if I'll give them sonetihing to talk about!!!!!
Norm says not to worry if you can't take the bureau back. We do those put-together things alll the time and will do it for you when we come....Just slide it under the bed.....
I am trying to finish up the swap blocks so will go do something constructive. It's hot here today but supposed to be a bit cooler and sunny tomorrow. Sure hope so....

Betty, our humidity is not too bad today, 98 now, and 30% humidity. But some days it gets pretty humid...

Laughing here Barb, just got back from town, half way there I remembered at 7:30am took out spaghetti sauce from feezer to defrost, have to save Chinese and Kentucky fried chicken for another day...

Managed to get everything I wanted but especially a breakaway collar with a bell for Missy, yikes she won't co e anywhere near me..

Also got power cell batteries for the imitation birdies I have in a cage, if I can't have real ones these will do, so love their chirping..

Barb must tell you and Norm a story..first I don't know how tall you both are but if you are over 5 feet you must bend your knees while walking in the house...

Several years after Roger died I went out with a guy called Rick for a few times.. I invited him over, he was 6' 3". So I went around the house with a 3 tiered step ladder so I could be same height and cleaned everything at that level..yep, am truly bored..

TellNorm it's going right back, unless they give me the one that is put together for telling me fins they can give me $$$ back!

Betty, how is your forehead doing? All healed up?

Partially healed I would say but I'm not so sure that it's scarred forever..still see the 3 markings and it's almost like something ate from within and now it's cratered!! Never wear my hair to the left but now I try to have it hanging so you don't see my forehead..lots ask me what I've done so I know it's quite visible.

Whew am I tired ! I worked all day yesterday and left around 6p... heavy traffic on the way in ... AND I got pulled over... (no ticket... story later)... arrived and checked in at 11:30p...

Met Dad, wife and DS at Cracker Barrell around 11:30am and DS and I rolled in at 6:30pm... ate then nap. He has gone to his Girlfriends (we like her :o) )

So much to say... I missed you all... but you were all with me... thought about you all at one point or another on the long drive by myself... Remembered Susan when I saw Antique stops... Shirley when I got KFC for dinner... Betty, Dianne, etc when I (think) I actually saw a Canadian license tag....Crissy when I was going too fast LOL...
The Canada tag started with a T... a long word then pas or puh or something at the end... ?

I'll pop back in a bit but I'm glad to be back. 3 generation Bday party at MIL/FIL tomorrow. FIL was 80++ July 1st, BIL turns 50 on 7/15 and his grandson turns 2 on 7/13.

I do believe DS19 has his head on straight. Been a Great week for him, my Dad, and Dad's wife... (and me !)... let's see if he can carry forward without stumbling for a while ! I hope and pray....

Mary, so happy you are home safe and "sanity" in check! Sure is a lot of driving for you.Happy tings turned out well with DS. I currently have THREE 18 year old boys here. I dont' think life will be the same while they are here. AND not that they are here with DS, they were here when he went to work also. Just need "home base" for a bit.

DH had to work this morning, got home at 3:00....then at 9:55 got called into work tonight. He is on his way home now and it is midnight. If that phone rings...he will have to turn around and go back in, he is on call this weekend. NOT Good!

I made pineapple upside down cake for dessert....it turned out so good. DH wanted to hide it fromt he boys...but they found it! lol

I hope all is well...and you get some rest!

I made it okay.... almost to the Alabama border... saw the 70 mph speed limit fall to 60 then to 50... so slowed down........saw blue lights... but no worries... I was going slow... right? NOPE got pulled over... the cute young clean cut officer said my tag light was out... then proceeded to shine his light all around the Tahoe... questioned my plants... (UM... bringing Dad's wife a pink hibiscus, red crinum and red canna) and checking my drivers license! Oh well... he just gave me a warning...

Y'all, Dave came back Thursday and he has picked up this annoying laugh and different attitude, normally when I leave something laying around he'll pick it up and complain about it constantly for an hour. Yesterday I left my house shoes in the living room and he walked up and kicked them across the room, he's never done that before! And that stupid laugh is soooooo annoying! I'm wondering what is going on?

Betty sorry you were so bored, you should have came over here! Started out at 7am my computer wasn't connecting to the internet so I rebooted the modem and unplugged and replugged things in, nothing worked so I ended up calling Hughesnet and my satellite needed to be repositioned. Got that fixed and went out and cut up a wheel borrow full of iris that I dug up on the 4th, then pulled weeds in all of the beds including the veggie garden, then I cleaned out all the closets in the house at the heat of the day, did laundry while I was cleaning closets, then went back out around 7ish and washed my car and watered the whole acre almost, picked some veggies, then it got too dark so I stopped. I somehow have fleas in my house so I need to get the vacuum out but I'm pooped today!

Easy morning but I've kept busy?

Washed down the front verandah..last year when I put the painted linoleum away for winter I must have put it away damp..had a few large areas which looked like mold that wouldn't wash off so thought I'd have to repaint..as a last resort this morning I poured a gallon of javex onto the matt and let it sit for 5 minutes then washed it off and perfect..happy about that..edged part of the front garden then off to the back..can't believe how grass can grow between the paid stones on back patio, got that all cleaned up..potato salad and macaroni salad made sooo pleased with my morning!

Darlene called to say that she and Mike (one of the top exe 's of a major company in midland) might have to take a run in this afternoon and if he does he'll drop her off..she is bound we'll put the dresser together and if we can't then Mike will...told her no but knowing her if he does go in she'll insist!

Although hot today there is a lovely breeze, too nice to sit inside..think I'll check out what wood I have sitting around and see if I can make some of your mileage markers that I've been wanting to do for so long

went to see scotty this morn and he is telling all when i am not there that i deliberatly broke my wrist so i couldnot come and see him as often and stay all day. he got mad because i would not cut his finger nails and toe nails and take care of him and when i said it was their job, he told me to go home and not come back.this is after he wants kissed and sits there and says over and over that he loves me balonie !!!!!! hope all is well love you all. bev

I'm so glad to see you post Bev, I've been worried you did not do well at the doctors regarding your heart..still got the cast on?

I guess Scotty is just angry and as always you hurt the ones you love...you are right in not doing as he asks, they are professionals who do feet at these facilities and have the medical know should something need tending..very hard to take it to heart but you must try!!
