Hello Everyone!
Just a quick note to say I'm okay. I've been busy, but that's good. It's been so---- hot here like so many places. I'm not going to complain. It could be so much worse. There are so many with alot worse problems.

I just wanted to say hello and let you know I will be gone for about a week. I'm going to Wisconsin to see DD and family. I'm taking one of my sisters with me. I'll bring the son-in-law home with me to help with a few things and then fly him back home when we are done.

I have only briefly talked to Tubby's one daughter, she is having a very hard time and so I will just wait and give her time. I told her she could call and talk anytime. I am sure I won't hear from the rest, but that is their choice and I'm not going to worry about them.

I've got a class tomorrow AM for work, and then I will get the oil changed and vehicle cleaned and packed. I'll meet my Sis in Iowa at a truck stop. She'll leave her vehicle there.

Want to wish you all the best and know there's is much going on with so many of you. Just know that you are all in my thoughts, prayers and heart all the time. God Bless you all!! Will chat when I get home. My computer hasn't been acting so good, so a friend is going to come out and help me go through it when I get back. Maybe I can check in on you all more. The darn thing wants to shut down on me when I'm in the process of soing something.

Sweet dreams and well wishes to all.

Shirley

I agree Betty, 100%!! Guess I need to have that ole conversation and I don't want to. LOL Kitty bells! You'll get used to it pretty soon and won't hear it anymore unless you're listening for it

Fayetteville, AR(Zone 7b)

SHIRLEY!!! So glad to hear from you! Have a wonderful time at your DD's and know that we think of you all the time. Can't wait for you to get your computer fixed so you can check in more often. Thanks for letting us know how you are!! Miss you!!!

Baton Rouge, LA

Hello To All ! Good Evening Night Shift !

Debbie - Thanks for the advice on Lilies... I think in September I'll finally try to plant these... Every year it seems we throw something in this little pot forgetting that lilies are in there and every year the lilies grow up around it ! This year it was a bell pepper....

Betty - always giving me a GOOD laugh! LOL... Police Officer... he must be desperate... looked about 20-30 something.. to pull over a 45 year old after dark... he was a cutie though... Love the "Helpless old lady" bit... you could work circles around those girls.... have to admit I've played it myself...
Susan... Too bad about the washroom. I've had business owners tell me that women are the worst when it comes to clean washrooms. "Smack until he is affectionate!" boy you gals have me laughing tonight !
Dianne.. Hope Warren has had a good day. My first thought on those zebra mussels is that if they grew here...these Cajuns would figure out a way to 'eat-em'... LOL... Glad you like that pic of Belle.. will have to re-post that here...

She has become quite the swimmer... goes in by herself now... which is a problem when I dont' feel like drying her.... like right now...

Barb... Remember that pic of Brandon on the horse... looked like a prince so stately... Where in Mississippi does your nephew live? feel as though he is my neighbor....

LK - does your new Tat - Cross have a special meaning? I think most do... dont' they?
Crissy... OMG LOL on your Deli owner... give us a few beers/margaritas and we'd be quipping about something BAD
Bev - ((HUGS)) love that... "Time to take care of BEv".... Here's to you !

Thunder.. do you have special plates? They have armed forces but I suppose you couldn't choose?

I just mapquested Susan's house to Bettys so I do see how far it is...

Be right back... Belle needs attention...

Hugs
Mary

MARY...I just LOVE that picture. Makes me laugh seeing that.

All 3 of "my boys" are back. Poor Nate says he is terrible ALLERGIC to babies...and Miss Kylie came over. Thought Nate was going to crawl out of his skin....and then, she smiled at him....and I got this shot.

and there was NO food on the floor she was going after.

Good Morning everyone! Hot and humid - YEP that's what we have again today.TG for AC. We had a smattering of rain in the late afternoon but that just made it even more hunid. Even Stormy wanted in.

Warren had a not so bad weekend all things considered. Our family GP has given him some excellent pain and breakthrough pain meds plus some sleepers. He is not able to stay up for long - maybe 10 min max but at least he gets up. Having to turn him is quite a feat as he is well over 6 ft and now weighs about 230 lb. But we have perserved and have the turning down to a science. Bright man that he his DH has figured a way to get out of bed without any assistance from me. That sure makes him feel good and I am sure some independence. Surgery took 4 1/2 hrs instead of 3 hr but noone bothered to come out to the OR Waiting Room to tell me what's up. He toddled off to the OR about 7:50 am. Took a Jilly Cooper book with me to read - she meets all the criteria for a time waster - a great bit of fluff, over 600 pages and usually a happy tale. Wouldn't you know this book main character's husband dies and she had to have her old beloved dog put down in the first 2 chapters. Leaky face here so didn't even even have a book to read. Bone Scan (90 min one) was done on Friday - results revealed yet another large hot spot (cancer) in DH's right shoulder, so that is 5 definite tumours and a possible 6th.As Dr Yen says 'it just keeps getting better and better! Won't find out about that until DH sees Dr Yen to get his stitches out.DH should have stayed another night at least but wanted home so badly DR Yen said At this point in time let's just make him happy.
Shirley I am so glad you are getting away for awhile.Think of you everyday.
Bev was very happy to read you are going to take care of Bev first!!! Whoooo hooo , I like the sounds of that.
Crissy I am so sorry Dave is being such a jerk right now. Betty had a good point about sitting down and thrashing out what you both are finding difficulties in your relationship. After that talk if there is no improvement maybe Dave needs to go for 'half a walk'. Take your time thinking all your alternatives over Crissy and you know I will support you 100%.
Like the tat LK. Wow 15!!!!
Can hear T and L in the distance, sure hopes t brings rain so I don't have to water.
Make sure you do something nice for yourself today.
Dianne

Morning everyone! Thanks for the coffee and fruit Betty.

Shirley so glad to see you posting. Have a good time on your trip.

Well, I learned a good tip about computers. My son was here for the week-end, and ask if he could look at the old tower to see what was wrong. First thing he did was take off the side cover, take it outside, and used the compressor to blow out all the dust. OH MY GOSH! There was so much dust! Living in Texas is terrible! Anyway, he plugged it in, and it booted right up. I never take mine apart to dust, but now I will now. He said to blow them out at least every 2 to 3 months.

Mary, I love crosses, and pink roses were one of my Mom's favorite flowers. Just a little momento.

Victoria Harbour, ON

organized and ready to chat...

Shirley, Wisconsin is quite a drive for you..glad your sister is going with you! Can she share in the driving to make things easier? Glad your SIL will be returning with you..hard to believe we'll soon be on the downslide and in fall thinking of what needs to be done before winter..slap me silly...so his doing the things you are unable to do will give you a head start and make you feel better that they are done. Computers..sure are nice but when they don't work, problem city. How are the veggie gardens coming? with you being gone for over a week do you have a neighbor who will tend the the animals? Just so nice to see you post..you are often in my thoughts

Oh Debbie look at that cutie..you could just pinch those rosie cheeks..ahhh animals don't usually take to young active children do they?? know Sailor doesn't nor Missy/Riley..they move too quickly for them. Izzy is quite an age?

Look at Nate, you can tell she touched his heart..does Nate live in your neighborhood? Debbie what will you do when all those young men go their way? How's the soldier, contact you lately?

Mary, Cajun Zebra Mussels? yuk/yuk..slimmy little things, not worse than sucking up clams..when I was in New Orleans on Bourbon street I had to leave the table while everyone was doing so, kept wanting to gag...

Mary, some young men like older women and at 45 older woman you are NOT..

LindaKay, what are some of the other designs?

Fayetteville, AR(Zone 7b)

Y'all, I think my deli owner is married and he hasn't said! Who wants to help be nosy with me?

I know, all I have in an internet search and I've got him up on Intelius but I don't want to pay $50 to find out. Wish you were here Betty!!!!

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Because I am a gemini, and I love tweety bird, I have onw angel, and one devil tweety on each bottom cheek, I have a fairy on each back shoulder, I have flowers, and a butterfly in the top center of my back, I have an indian designs on my right ankle, and a memorial angel for my mom on my left ankle. I have a flower in the center of my lower back. And I have a hummingbird on my left chest, with flowers.
This is my right ankle.

Fayetteville, AR(Zone 7b)

Actually, I don't mind paying the $50 but it will hit my bank account, if someone else would pay the $50 and I'll send a check to pay for it... LOL!!!! I've got to know and waiting till middle of next week to ask isn't going to work for me, and actually I wouldn't even ask, I'd ask him to tell me his story and see what he says, after I find out the truth first.

Fayetteville, AR(Zone 7b)

Love it LK!!

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

This is the butterfly on my back. I don't have pictures of the others, I will have to have take some...

Good Morning...

Debbie, wanted to say how awful for your little town to have such devastation. So sorry for the losses.
Awwe, how sweet your little one is! 9 months, wow, seems like just yesterday...Baby Kylie is just so adorable, what a way to Melt anyone's heart with a smile from those rosey cheeks! Great pictures, Nate's got a winning smile there, and Izzy, so sweet to protect her.

Dianne, glad to see Warren has such determination to get himself up! Big bummer about the book, at least for that time...Yikes, you would think hospital waiting rooms would have a ton of reading material, but worst, not letting you know what's up ,just plain awful on their part!! Shaking head here.
...Now that he is home are you able to sleep a little better? I hope...

Susan, so glad the Stampede was such a success!! Very cool, you got take left overs, lol no cooking for a bit, eh? OMG, I never realized how far from Betty you are, holy smackers!! Hahaha, i guess I am horrible in geography, for some reason, always thought you were fairly close to each other, now i know...
Yikes, bummer about your passports, sure hope that you are able to get them re-routed pretty quick.

Oh Barb, big Cheerful smiles!! Congratulations to Brandon!! How nice you had such a wonderful family gathering...
How are your eyes? Should be just about healed? Norm sure has the right idea to continue searching until he get the Your Hired, good for him and i sure hope he gets the word soon...

Thunder, Waiving hello!! Feel good to be back home? OMG, sure enjoyed seeing the photo's from the ceremony again...Hello to Dave and momma for me.
So what are you working on these days?

Mary, So glad the trip was a huge success for all!! OMG, Belle helping to clean the pool, what a fun picture!! hehehe, looks like she was getting a free ride in the process...LOL, Mary, what a drag to get pulled over especially to hear it was a bogus stop! Maybe it was just so he could see that pretty lady, but still, not nice to give you even a warning ticket, probably just trying to save face for stopping you!
We got stopped too, DH got a ticket for no seat belt...shaking my head as I sigh.

Linda Kay, OMG, about your weather...praying for some relief for you all. Very pretty Tat, love the story.
Funny thing, DH has this idea he wants one, it's to be an arm band with the kids names. So he went to this new tattoo place, he heard about from his buddy Brian.
Walks in to see about rates and see if she could help with the design...While there, had this gnawing feeling about the women, kept feeling like he knew her from somewhere. LOL, finally in the evening it dawns on him, She was one of his employees, when he worked at the law firm!! Small world, and so he called the old "office wife" to confirm and make sure he didn't fire her, lolol...it was and he didn't.

Bev, So glad to see you post! Always think about you and I am happy to hear you are getting help from Rick and your neighbor.
I am so Happy and PROUD of you Bev for taking the time for you, Was just beaming and Cheering to see you post that!, Big Giant Arm Wraps, you go girl!!
OMG, How Lovely is that, Daylily?? yep thought it was a rose, awesome photo, love the Black-eyed Susans? are such a nice mix...I think you ought to come here and do my gardens, lol, just joshing around, if you ever decide to take a little trip on over, I would take good care of YOU, just rest here...Hope the Doc visit goes very well.

Shirley, So very happy to see you post, Been thinking about you lots too! You have a wonderful trip to Wisconsin, geesh too bad we will miss each other, not going up until August now...Glad your SIL will come back and help you out, thats awesome. Safe travels to you.

Crissy, I am in agreement with everyone. It is time to sit down and have a conversation with Dave...
There is never really a good time to have "the talk" but the sooner the better for both of you. It sounds like you both have some issues that need to be brought out in the open. My suggestion is that when you do, try not to make it be a scolding to him, remember tone of voice and wording is of the essence...
My DH, will never get away with talking to or about me like that, and when it does happen, usually it's because of stress. Your working and paying all the bills and his part in keeping the house and gardens are both very important roles. I hope that you both can lay all the cards on the table and make compromises and if need be a few changes as to how things are done, but that is not going to happen if you don't make the time to talk things through, guessing at the problem isn't going to solve it...I'll be quiet now.

Betty, how thrilling to see your fishies are all accounted for, yaayyy. Saw too, you placed a few slabs on the bird's feet to anchor it down, Great idea!! The pond just looks awesome. I was so smiling to see MOM sitting and enjoying it..Have you planted any water plants yet? OH wow, what a bummer no camera handy for that Blue Jaye...Now that it knows it will come back and you'll get more chances to capture a photo, or better yet maybe you'll paint the vision.
ROFLOL, you are just to adorable for words! Hmmm, if those people only knew the "old lady" that you are!! But, heheh, you sure played well, glad you got the floor model. OH my the New milage signs are fantastic!! heheh, I caught that Debbie's as the only one with Daisies, so fitting!

Woohoooo it's official!!! Liz and Kenny will be here at 12;05 on July 30th...how exciting.

OK been typing forever.
Enjoy the day and try and stay cool!

P.S. Another wind and rain storm yesterday, sigh, broke a few things, so have to go clean up.
Other then that, I think I'm i a good position to visit and relax for a bit, yippeee.

Glenview, IL

Great Tat's Linda Kay!!

Oh Yayayaya, Norm, Barb doing a happy dance for you both, I so feel your giddiness!

Winnipeg, MB(Zone 3b)

Yaaaaaaaaaay for Norm getting the JOB, Barb!!! Now, for Dave and Bob to get their jobs!
My DH Bob is doing some "on the side" work with a friend of his - good thing he has construction ability!! It helps pay the bills!!

Dianne - Warren's lucky to have you. You give him the independance he sure needs!! T&P for both of you!

Shirley - sounds like you're keeping mighty busy, and awfully glad to see you posting :-)

Love & Hugs to all I've missed...... :-)

Off to do some errands - fax to Passport Canada to get them resent; take vaccuum cleaner in to see about beater brush, some grocery shopping, etc, etc, etc.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Dianne, meant to add to say so sorry to hear about more nodules being found in Warren. Will be saying extra prayers for you both.

Ames, NE(Zone 5b)

I'm gonna start to pack soon and get the outside chores done. It's been rainning off and on her all morning. I may have to take a little snooze first. Ha Ha!

Was in class all morning, got the oil changed and vehicle checked, got gas so now it's time to load the stuff that I can until the last minute stuff in the AM. I'm gonna take some stuff from the freezer so will do that then. I have a friend coming out Sat. morning to check all the feeders for the chickens and dogs and water the plants outside if needed. I'll worry about the dogs but I'll see if the gal down the road will drive by a couple of times and check on them. She will I'm sure.

You all have a good week and will try to check in while gone. Hope the weather straightens out for everyone. It's suppose to be very hot here. I'll be thinking of you all while I'm gone. Take care and God Bless you all!

Shirley

Victoria Harbour, ON

Want to come and gab but guess who was at the new office, getting some plans together... i.e. coloring, furniture..oooh just love where I'll be..so for the next 3 days who knows where I'll be..Robert, Roger's other brother coming and we're going to take measurements pick out a few things..exciting isn't it?

On the not too exciting, Darlene just called me to tell me Aline's brother passed away this afternoon..Aline was at my house painting with the girls, had been in St. Catherines for weeks now, he wanted to go home, look wonderful, looked as though he'd be with them for some time but.... I'll call Aline when I get home tonight..

In the meantime I so want to gab but no can do....couple hours I'll be home, watch you all go on break...

Fayetteville, AR(Zone 7b)

Betty I think I met Aline but can't remember who exactly she is.

Fayetteville, AR(Zone 7b)

Shirley!! Have a great trip sweetie!!

Dianne I'm so sorry to hear about the tumors! Glad he's doing things on his own though, that's always a good thing. You know my prayers are with you. Thank so much for the thoughts about Dave, if he was easier to talk to it would be easier to talk to him but every time I mention something that he might be at fault he just goes into this yelling thing, and I can't talk to someone whose going to yell all the time, I'd rather talk to a brick. I'm sure we've all been through that.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Sorry to hear about Aline's Brother passing. Please tell her were sending her lots of thoughts and prayers!
