Now that the unlikelys have triumphed in baseball's first round, did anyone notice that the Minnesota Lynx finally got a championship?

I did.....started to watch Uconn football.....well, they were competitive for the first half......

NL game is great!

Patriots won, now for the chance to watch the Packers. Need to improve their secondary.

Manager said this morning that Pujols was "just taking it easy....wasn't trying to hit it out of the park"!

Rooting for Texas, but would not bother me if Cards win. They are really on a Cinderella streak.

This feels like one of those series where I won't know who I'm rooting for until I find myself rooting for them . . .

The Penn State story is sickening. Cannot believe all the support for Paterno. Just like the Church crap.

he should be out once this was brought public - disgraceful and disgusting!

Somehow his years of service compensates for this??? It's criminal.

Sounds like the AD should lose his job as well since Paterno apparently reported it to him but not to the police.

Very upsetting.

All should be prosecuted.

Patrno is out. A sad ending for an older man who should have been more alert to the damage. Jobs lost because they were more interested in a friend rather than protecting children.

interesting sub- story - they were investigating other charges in the late 90's and the DA in charge disappeared - only found his car - keys, wallet, cell, and pc missing - found pc later in a river without hard drive - then found hard drive further down the river at a later date - they have re-opened this case - cover up and murder?

Wow - have not heard that. Crazy.

The display/riot by the students last night was truly sickening.

the fact that Paterno turned a blind eye to what a friend was doing is horrible. these kids have no idea how to handle all of this, and their actions are inapropriate.

The law is that anyone working with children must report suspected abuse of any kind....I had a 6th grade student write about an older neighbor that she didn't want coming into her house....even though abuse was not mentioned, I turned it into the police....no abuse, but he made her feel "uncomfortable". I think her instinct was a good one.

Correct. Our friend who is the musical director in our parish had to call the archdiocese when he overheard the former pastor utter something inappropriate to some kids. Interestingly, it was financial hanky-panky which got him booted immediately. I did see that, Bill. Crazy stuff.

Saw video of them flipping over s CBS van and smashing it up. Incredible. They better prosecute.

Someone aptly described Penn St. as a football team with a university attached. To me the worship of Paterno is downright creepy.
