That guy doing all the cheap shots was fortunate the other team was very small. His time will come. He did not look like an athlete at all with that gut.
Sports Talk!! Part 7
Just a 'bully' player....I blame the coach....
that #34 needs to run some laps
My older guy is on the wrestling team and had his first match the other day. He tied. Second match today. He is very thin but it goes by weight class. When he first joined I joked that he would have to wrestle girls and now a girl has joined the team and is close in weight to him!!
serves you right for making fun of girls. they are not weak & can be very athletic. J2's sister is. She played field hockey & ran cross country & threw discus in H.S.
Wasn't making fun of girls - was making fun of my son's size!
not fair either. That is the charm of wrestling since you aren't competing against kids a different size. See video which you posted. Hope your son has a good coach.
good luck to your son today! I hope he likes wrestling, nice sport for smaller kids.
Thanks. So far, he does. He will probably do track in spring.
hope the little guy does well victor
i remember my high school gym teacher use to have me wrestle kids who were 20-30 pds more than me - he seemed to enjoy it......
Wrestling is becoming very popular here in our part of the state....my town's high school did very well last year.
He lost, but did well. The official was not very good. Our coach, who has decades of experience and had the opposing coach as a student, had to keep telling him what to do. And one of our guys was picked up and slammed down hard.
My picks for this weekend are Houston, Pittsburgh, NO and the Giants.
hate the giants
Hee hee. Me too.
indifferent as the Packers are not playng.
Hope your son looks upon that as a learning experience, Victor, & hopefully, moves on.....
more matches to come.
Yes, it's a learning experience as he had never wrestled before.
Saw Notre Dame beat the Uconn girls in OT....good for the game...as much as I love Uconn, they have to realize winning is a lot of work....there's more parity in the girls' game than there used to be, but still not like the men's game....on a given night, anyone can win......I like that.
2 for 2 so far. The NO-Det game was crazy. Should be interesting against the 49ers. Doubt they'll be scoring this much! Brees is really incredible this year, yet completely overshadowed by Rogers.
Giants have dominated. Will be a different story in GB!
Problem is Packers defence.
Pitt - Denver game was great. Think the Pats will beat them though. Will root for Denver.
It's getting almost impossible to find a pro athlete without tattoos! I hate them things.
or double earrings
most of the Wisconsin basketball team was without them last yr. with luck it will last. Supposed to be 'manly' I suppose.
Next Sat.: Patriots over Denver (by 10 points?).
Yes, those tattoos have to go....some are so busy, they make me dizzy....maybe that's the kind of distraction they're looking for.......
do not understand them at all
There was one at the Army basketball game - on the St. Francis team - that had at least 20 lines of text, aside from other crap!
I see them on women too
"Just" 2 decades from now, all the printed tattoos will be illegible, and the pro athletes will be wondering what their tattoos say, and where their agents have placed the absconded funds.
GB - Giants game is ugly! GB certainly looks beatable.
Ravens can challenge the Pats.
Wow - how often do Hail Mary passes work?!! Makes up for that terrible call on the fumble.
Impressive win by Blue. GB was awful.
Can't believe Giants won....they became motivated very late in the season....
I think they can beat SF too. May very well be a rematch Super Bowl of Blue vs Pats. I will root for Ravens, though.
I guess I'll stick with the Pats....
Hate them! Was the Brady punt really necessary?
Didn't see that...turned off the game because it was such a runaway....
